Fixed most of my irrigation issues (caused some, but fixed and then charged me). Very hard to get a hold of anyone at the office and won't return calls. Simple preference instructions of call ahead and review of what was done does not happen. They just arrive unscheduled and leave.
Absolutely terrible experience. Hired them for a complete rehab on the landscaping around our house. We requested a low maintenance dessert look. Now after 1 yr and $14,000 we have dead plants, an irrigation system that isn t working, no follow up and a lot of broken promises. They will not even return our calls at this point.
Owning a business is a huge responsibility, one that not many understand. Your constantly being held underneath a microscope. Make one mistake with that microscope and your image will be completely blurry.
If your like me, before trying something out, of course, you Google it. Today we base our decisions on one thing, and that s a google review. We look at those stars and judge a company based on their amount. Little do people know, as a business owner you can t alter someone s review. You can t report the information as false without going through tons of flaming hoops. As a business owner you can reply to someone s review, voicing your concern and try to reassure the reviewing customer that their issues will be solved.
If the review is falsifying information, is the owner supposed to argue with the customer?? Absolutely not! This will then turn the review into a he said she said load of statements.
Anyone can review a company, I can review a company and say whatever I want, despite the truth. Someone in a different state that knows nothing about a particular company can say whatever they want, and someone can write a terrible review because you simply did not offer the services they were requesting or simply because they didn t like the shoes the workers were wearing.
This is what we today base our business decisions upon.
Along with being underneath that microscope a business is allowed to respond and react however they see fit. Would responding to reviews with false information look as if we were in the right?? No, it wouldn t, because someone such as myself from the outside simply sees one thing, and that is that one star review.

Next time you decide to choose a place of business, in any category, do your research. Don t just base your decision off of one bad review. Statistics show that for every bad review it takes 10 positive reviews to eliminate that single one star review. Don t base your business decision off of someone who was upset because they didn t like what side of the street the company truck was parked on.
Shop around and base your decisions off of your own truthful experiences.
JLS Custom Homes, Landscaping, and Pools is a local family owned company that goes above and beyond for their customers. They not only provide great services but take the time to work with their customers to fit their individual needs. Would definitely recommend giving them a call and having them work with you.
If I could rate 0 stars for JLS I would. DO NOT buy a new build from JLS. Once you sign that doted line even though you have a builders warranty they WILL NOT come fix anything. A/C broke, dishwasher not working, pool broke, fence is broken. I've called 6x to get a list of all paint colors for my house and his office tells me that they will email them and NOTHING !!!! Spoke to Jason personally and he always tells you what you want to hear and then NEVER delivers on his promises. Neighbors have roof shingles missing, carpet and hard wood flooring coming up and has not been able to get JLS to fix it. This company needs to stick to landscaping not home building. Cant stress enough that buying a home built by him is a bad idea. All those cute little homes popping up behind target that are Farmhouse dreamy, if it has a JLS sign out front DON'T DO IT !!!
I agree, I took off work to meet them at my house for a quote, and I called them because they were hour and a half late, I actually waited another 30 min. after being told they would call the guy, and again, they never showed up. No call, nothing. I guess they already have all the money they need. Good thing, their not getting mine now!!
JLS installed my sprinkler system, was very satisfied. But years later need help, no response to phone calls and messages. Trying to find someone else to help me.
Was told early morning on Monday. Two guys didn't show up until 1:40pm. I called the office a dozen times and left several messages. By the time the workers showed up I had already given my business elsewhere.
JLS did landscaping for me. Grade the yard, sod and flower bed.
Fantastic work; they were on time, professional, cleaned up when done and competitively priced.
Two months later my yard looks great. Super curb appeal .
Best I can say is, I ll have them back to do the next job I need done.
No responses from them. I've emailed over 4 times to get a response on something I was billed for (and not completed).
Getting a quote was very easy, but then no response (except to tell me they were on vacation) and would get back to me on a date to complete work. I never heard from them (after multiple attempts) and even started looking for someone else to complete the project and POOF, they showed up one day to complete the project with no communication. *I will say they did a good job on the actual work, but HORRIBLE at communication. And never mind a response when you are charged for something and didn't get it completed.
