Jimm's Steakhouse and Pub Review

My wife and I try to experience a very nice meal on each anniversary. On this 40th, we enjoyed a very nice Surf and Turf meal at Jim's. We will return soon.

Great steaks and desserts! The only problem is that too many people want to eat there!

Always exceptionally prepared steaks and incomparable service. A long wait this evening due to the Route 66 festival, but as always, any wait for a meal at Jimm's is worth your time.

Out of all the steak houses I have been to in the Pacific Northwest, Upper Midwest, and around the Austin,TX area Jimms was hands down one of the top 3 steal houses. The service is exceptional only to be riviled against house that start at $100 a plate

The food is excellent, be prepared ahead of time by making room in the fridge for leftovers!

The food is good quality, the service is amazing, and the prices very reasonable. It's a little "old school" fancy, but we were happy. Reservations definitely recommended.

Waitress was great, very helpful but wasn't in your face. Food was absolutely great for the price. Food was fine dining quality but the place felt laid and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

I was very disappointed with the food and manager. This was for our 30th anniversary looking forward to a nice juicy piece of prime rib, not only was it not juicy but it was cold and tough. We had eaten here before and enjoyed the food very much but never again. I was disappointed the way the management handled the meal problem. I don't expect a free meal but I wasn't even offered the option. Also the baked potato was luke warm. Sorry Jimm's but NEVER again unless it is under new management with a new cook.

Our experience at Jimm's is the best appatizers after 2 PM in the pub. They have a very good keto friendly appetizer menu, actually they beat anywhere in town. They have the best wait staff.

The service was good. The salad bar is the only thing worth going for. We have dined at jimms many times over the years, and this by far was one of the worst experiences we have had. The Prime rib sandwich was dry, overcooked and tasted terrible. Same goes for the salmon burger which ironically said on the menu was a jimms favorite. The prices are high for lunch- $13 for soup/salad only which most likely would have been better than $13 for the dry overcooked prime rib sandwich.

This restaurant has been around a long time. Before it was Jimm's it was Steak and Ale. The service is excellent.
Most of the food is excellent as well.
Maybe stay away from the prime rib. It was served cold and without flavor to two people in our party.
Pretty hard to believe a place like this would serve something that terrible, but they did.
I tried the ribeye and the sirloin that other people in the party had and they were really good.
It was Thanksgiving day, so hopefully it was just a fluke.
Their choice of wines is impeccable.
The cocktails are also top notch for flavor.
Could use a little more kick, but again, Thanksgiving day...
I'd give them 3 stars because of the awful meat they served me, but everything else was great and it was a busy holiday.

A great place for a midafternoon rendezvous or a night out with family and/or friends. With an intimate setting and a perfectly poured scotch (or beer), this is a place that we enjoy immensely and you will too. Great service and fantastic food, our expectations are met and exceeded every time.

During business travel, the hotel desk attendant said Jimm's was her absolute favorite restaurant in the area. Glad I took her advice. I had the 16oz Prime Rib, and a customer sitting next to me at the bar suggested I ask for it grilled. Man, was it the bomb. It came with a loaded baked potato and choice of three salad options, of which I chose the blue cheese wedge.
Prices are really reasonable for such a great steakhouse. I highly recommend this place!

The staff is amazing! If you know what a "Supper Club" is, you need to stop! If you don't know you need to stop and enjoy the experience of the atmosphere and the lovely staff!

Excellent salad bar. Had smothered chicken on mashed potatoes with broccoli. So good!

My ribeye tasted like it was previously frozen. Do not get the wedge salad it is horrendous. Other than that the prime rib was perfectly cooked and it would've been better but the auju got cold because we were seated in front of the air conditioner. I had higher expectations and left disappointed.

Fantastic our server Rachel was the best ever very accommodating steak was delicious and they ask you to cut into your steak before you eat it so they could check and make sure it's cooked perfectly or they'll take it back love this place.

Excellent service. The good was fantastic. They took ever necessary precaution to ensure the spread of germs. They also allowed carryout, Great for lunch and an ever more "fancy" menu for dinner. Check it out!

My lady and I went there to celebrate her birthday. Jimm's is dedicated to keeping their staff and other customers healthy by implementing strict Covid measures!
Our server Jordan was fantastic! He was unobtrusive, sincere, professional, knowledgeable, and hilarious!
The food was top-notch! The kitchen really knows how to cook a steak. I'm a "rare" steak eater and my lady likes her steaks cooked for 3 days(medium well) and dinner was perfectly timed.
Thank you for making sure our first visit won't be our last!

This is my favorite restaurant in Springfield! The food is amazing and the service is top notch. It is a cozy spot for date night, but also just a place to get an awesome meal. The salad bar is also great!

Wonderful place to spend time and eat good food. Very professional wait staff and outstanding food. The staff is extremely efficient because even though there are lots of tables and guest the whole operation is a well oiled machine.

The only reason that I gave them 3 stars was due to the wonderful waitress. Our steaks we're over cooked so we had to wait an extra 20 minutes to eat. We had reservations for 6pm and we didn't get to eat until 6:50 pm. The manager came to apologize but didn't offer any sort of discount due to the long wait. I would recommend outback steakhouse instead.

I am a super picky eater. My husband and I went to Jimm's for lunch for the wonderful salad bar. I don't really care for mixed salad and one of the kitchen staff saw me picking pieces of lettuce and he asked if I would rather a plate with just a spring mix. He brought me a plate with just what I wanted! I was beyond appreciative of this. Service here is always great.

Very good food at reasonable prices. I had the salmon and it was excellent. I forgot what my girlfriend had but she loved it. Relaxed atmosphere and helpful wait staff. Would definitely go back.

Very happy with the quality of food, the menu selection, and the service! It's a great special occasion kind of place, and I highly recommend going for the early evening dinner - it offers a lot more for the money and not quite as busy.

My wife and I eat here every Valentine's day for the last three years and have never been disappointed. The service is amazing, the food is incredible, even the salad bar is amazing.

Great Steak, great friendly service and much easier to get in right now than Texas Roadhouse or the like. Try the Ribeye- it was incredible!

While I really like Jim's, the steak is just sort of a good steak.

We went for a late valentines day lunch. The staff was enjoyable and the food even more so. The only problem I had was from a previous visit. We brought my daughter to lunch with us. I could see the dread on the staffs faces when I brought her in. They sat us in the corner next to the fire exit of an empty room. The waitress had a tone in her voice that honestly didn't welcome me back. If it wasnt a surprise the next time around we would not have been again.

Great mid-week lunch. Guest of son and his special girlfriend. Didn't care too much for the escargo but kids love them so tried again. Acquired taste I haven't managed to acquire. Bread great. Steak even better. Went there because they want their steaks practically mooing and say it is one of the few places in town where the cooks get it right consistently.

Best steaks in Springfield. Do your mouth a favor and get the bacon wrapped peppers as an appetizer.

Nice place, good service, good food. The atmosphere was upscale. Prices are decent, except for the wine. 9.50 for literally six sips is unacceptable in my view and this definitely impacts the satisfaction rating.

Attentive, but not pushy wait staff, great food and a nice ambience when they're not super busy add up to an elegant meal. Prices are in line with other restaurants of this caliber. A very pleasant dining experience. This was our first time with the early bird specials. It is a good deal if you don't mind eating early, plus it's quiet which makes the ambience really shine. We'll go early again next time.

Good food and good service but it was so cold in the bar that was where our table was we had to eat with our heavy coats on which was not enjoyable.

Food was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly. Ate way too much, but couldn't stop. Our waitress Amber was on point! Drinks never got below half before we had new drinks in front of us. Super sweet. Truly enjoyed her candor. Wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a true steakhouse dining experience!!

This place has been such a phenomenal experience for me and my family. We came to celebrate our anniversary and we were simply impressed when we walked in.

Sarah was our waitress and she was so attentive, not only to our needs, but to our one year old. It had the privacy and atmosphere of an upscale restaurant without feeling like we didn't belong. We had the prime rib, smothered chicken, steak wrapped asparagus, and Jimm's brownie. Everything was absolutely delicious.

I'm already looking forward to come back and ask for Sarah to be our waitress. I was floored and can't wait to tell everyone I see about it.

They quickly responded when I submitted a question through their website. We made a reservation and they did well seating a large group for a birthday celebration. They offered a wine samples that were delicious. The service was attentive and polite. The steaks were over charred.

First time coming here and the experience was good. Called a few days in advance to reserve a table for 4. We were seated rite away. Prices are reasonable for the about of food that you are served.we order 2 steaks and 2 prime rib and all of it was cooked perfectly and was extremely tasty. Salad bar was all very fresh. Staff was extremely nice and friendly. Will definitely be back. Thanks for the good experience

I prefer Texas Roadhouse and or Cheddars. I've always left satisfied from both. QUALITY, QUANTITY, AND PRICE. Also atmosphere. Jim's felt like it was a more formal. Texas and Cheddars both have a bar that, as long as seating is available. You can order an amazing meal, enjoy a football game (NFL or college), race's (NASCAR or NHRA) and have a few brews. If you have the room ;) Or just get some appetizers and enjoy. 10 fold I recommend Texas and or Cheddar's. Both have seating for large and small groups 1-6. If I had to be negative about both, they can have long wait times depending on the time. Texas has better steak but Cheddar's has quite the variety on the menu. I mean the Caesar salad isn't as GOOD! LoL
