There is no place in Bloomington that I would rather have my daughter. The attention and care the kids get is amazing. The director of the program Elizabeth Stelle is simply as good as it gets. My daughter loves her teachers, loves her art projects, and loves her friends. I recommend this school as highly as possible!

The last seven months of my Mom s life were made more lovely than in years because of the staff and environment at Jill s House. I will be eternally grateful.

This is a review about the on-site preschool and pertains only to the waitlist protocols. I have no experience with the actual care or caliber of the staff at this place.

In March 2021, we put our daughter on the daycare waitlist at Jill s House and paid a $50 application fee. Late this summer, I found out through an acquaintance that the program admitted a student in my child s same age group whose family applied for admission in May 2021. There was a change in leadership sometime in the past 6 months and when I brought this issue to her attention, the new director acknowledged that the transition hasn t been seamless. I asked that they issue me a $50 refund since they don t actually operate a waitlist and didn t honor our child s place in line. They haven t agreed to return the payment. Seems really scammy.

Jill's house has been an amazing placement for my 101 1/2 old father. On the first day that we visited, he walked into the great room and remarked "This is beautiful". He was so right. Jill's house is a beautiful space with many common areas that are warm, inviting and facilitate community.
What is even more beautiful is the high level of care and engagement from all staff and administration who have a commitment to respectful treatment of all residents. They provide excellent individual care and meet the residents "where they are". The residents rooms are kept as neat as a pin. It is evident that each resident is well cared for by their neat, clean, well kept appearances and their happy faces!
I would describe the atmosphere at Jill's house as "friendly calm". Residents are regularly engaged in small or large group interactions and a generally happy spirit is present. I look forward to every visit there and have never been disappointed; in fact, it is so warm and welcoming, that I am always reluctant to leave. I could not feel more thrilled to know that my Dad is lovingly cared for in a beautiful home by people who have come to know him at a deep level.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for using this valuable community resource for this purpose and thank you to the entire staff of Jill's house for making every day as best as possible! Jill's house is a blessing for the entire Bloomington community.

I have encountered many nursing homes, but Jills House truly provides a unique experience so different than the traditional assisted living protocol. There is so much care and desire to treat residents with respect, dignity, and value. Incredible place!!!

I can't say enough good things about Jill's House. Entering assisted living was a tough decision for my 98-year-old dad, and for me and my siblings who are spread out across the U.S. It was the care and consideration of the Jill's House staff that made the transition possible. We truly appreciated their professional expertise, down-to-earth style, and sincere compassion, which was invaluable in getting my dad moved in and adjusted to his new surroundings. A key principle of Jill's House is to know each individual resident and to understand what makes him or her "tic." My dad has always been fiercely independent (emphasis on "fierce!") At Jill's House, the staff deeply understands his likes and dislikes and, subsequently, he is happy as a clam. We are thrilled with the care he receives and so is he. He is very appreciative of, and fond of, the people who help him throughout the day. I recommend Jill's House without reservation.

Just by walking into the building, you can tell how different it is! My daughter loves attending the Intergenerational Preschool. She adores the JH residents and activities.

I feel blessed to be a part of a community that works so hard to bring strength, comfort and joy to people. My child loves going to preschool here !
