Took a 90min lesson with my family. Hector and his colleague were great. My kids where getting up in no time. I couldn t believe it. Even I managed to catch a few good waves. Awesome local business
The Saturday public class is a good idea but you have to check the tide schedule. Had a super low tide and the waves were quite small.
It's in a cool neighborhood but a couple of people in my class struggled to get wetsuits that fit them.
There were 7 people in my class.
This place is hands down the BEST surf school! Everyone is sooooo nice that works there!! Zach Is super awesome and very professional. He really knows how to teach people how to surf and made me feel super comfortable in the water. I highly recommend you take lessons here and especially with Zach. I would give it 30 stars if I could. I plan on taking many lessons there in the future!

Thanks to Jax Surf and Paddle and to my lovely friend, my first time kayaking was a Perfect 10. The customer service from Amelia and John was amazing, the price (including delivery and pickup of the kayak to and from Dutton Island) was a bargain, and the friendly tutorial that John gave me was a game-changer. I can't imagine having a better experience than what Jax Surf and Paddle gave me.
Just checking out the area and had such a good chat with the dude when we popped in that I couldn't help but buy a groovy new hat. Wish we were around long enough to paddle out for a lesson.
Hi everyone! My 4 kids are taking this surf camp this week. This is a really amazing camp. Perfect location, beautiful beach, professional and friendly instructors. Professional manager & management. My kids are very excited to go this camp.

My 7 year old (Brayden M.) just finished up his week of full day surf camp. I am extremely satisfied. He is standing up on his own, enjoyed the staff and campers, and was excited to go back EVERY day. Everyone was super friendly and the instructors this year pushed him just enough to provide great results and an awesome experience. This will be an annual camp for my children! I'll admit I thought the price was extremely hefty. But that fact my child has come home happy, fed, and not sunburnt totally made it worth it. Can't rave enough!
Incredible staff and local shop - stoked they are expanding and offering more services/retail! Can't go wrong here - check 'em out!

Recently took a SUP class led by Adam and Corey - they were amazing! Really great instructors that were patient and very knowledgeable, highly recommend!
