Jake's Pizza Review

This is ok. Lucky we had cash since this place is a cash only place!

Not sure if they have new ownership but I was surprised when I ordered a vegetarian pizza and it was priced a la carte and not a fixed price. Should have been tipped off when phone person asked me what I wanted on a vegetarian pizza. Many other pizza fish in this sea.

Jake's is one of my favorite spots to get me through the winter. Their food is above average, I personally think everything tastes fresh and with good ingredients It's been awhile since I had their pizza, but I always liked it. As far as cheesesteaks, the Buffalo Chicken with extra American was my jump off until I quit eating chicken. I highly recommend Jake's for great quality for the lowest comparable price in Cape May.

BBQ chicken pizza was out of the world good! Good sized pie at a fair price.

Jake's is one of my "go to's" in Cape May. The pizza is great, but most visits we get the steak stromboli. Remember to bring cash!

Jake's crust is possibly the best I've ever had, including the NYC shops! The toppings are abundant, you don't need to order extra. The sauce is really tomato-ey without being over spiced. The crust is just as crisp on a medium pie as it is for the large. There isn't enough I can say about Jake's, all good. By far the best pizza in Cape May if not anywhere. Prices are excellent as well. Cash only.

Literally the best pizza I ve had in my life. Even worth dealing with cash only policy.

This pizza was better than expected. After 10+ years of Cape May we have never even seen this eatery and yet it was some of the best pizza that we have gotten. A little bit cheaper than Mario's and the pizza was overall pretty good. Very legit pizza and the staff was extremely friendly. More than ample outdoor and indoor seating allow for a large crowd. Highly recommend for the nights that other pizza places are very backed up.

I thought the pizza was ok. We got 2 Large Pizza's. One specialty and the other pepperoni. The crust was good but average and not memorable. Toppings were mediocre in equality (including: cheese/ sauce). I LOVE chicken wings and am very judgemental. The wings were nothing to be raved about either. They were meaty but not saucy enough. The sauce selection was limited in variety as well. Quick and easy pick up and I say that because there's not even enough room to breathe when you get to the counter.

Great local pizza! I always get a medium pie with sausage and onions. Way better then brothers on the next block over! I'm a local and know of over 5 pizza joints on the island and wouldn't order from any of them over Jakes! Open year round when much is closed in winter months. P.s it's a pizza joint not a 5 star wine&dine. Great for what it is love Jakes!

We've tried many pizzas in Cape May, and stumbled on Jake's a few years ago. Love this pizza! The sauce is perfectly spiced and delicious, the crust is crunchy and thin, and the pizza is scrumptious! All ingredients are fresh and homemade. Jake treats you well and asks for cash only...and who doesn't like cash? Highly, highly recommend Jake's!

Pizza is always great, crunchy and thin crust, never skimps on toppings or cheese! Really nice location to grab a slice before heading to the beach.

I love this place. I work in the area a lot so I'm always here. The owner Angelo is a really nice guy.

We usually order from Marios but since their wait was so long tonight we looked for an alternative on Yelp and couldn't be happier that we found Jake's. Pizza was outstanding, wait time was reasonable, and the staff was super friendly. As an added bonus it was right around the corner from our rental so we avoided the car ride and parking misery of the Acme parking lot. A true hidden gem and will surely be back.

As a New Yorker, I am pretty particular about pizza. I would say that of the pizzas I've tried in that region , they are definitely one of the best. Nice down home place and pleasant staff

Ordered pizza with bacon, got maybe one cut up strip of bacon on the entire large pie. Also Jake's is cash only so keep that in mind when ordering.

We ve been coming to Cape May for years, but this is the first time we tried Jake s. We were not disappointed! The pizza and salads were absolutely first rate. The three young guys behind the counter handled everything quickly and appeared to enjoy what they were doing. However, as someone in his 60s, I was taken aback that none of them was wearing a mask! I completely understand that it s hot near pizza ovens and don t blame them for not wearing them when there are no customers in the place (even though I think state guidelines call for them), but when a customer comes in, I don t think it s asking too much for them to put masks on. Otherwise, this would be a 5 Star review....

Super disappointed. The picture above is no where near what you actually receive. I just feel like the whole thing is very deceptive. The pictures of the food on the website hypes it up. The onion rings mediocre and definitely like they're picture. The pizza was terrible. We got plain and a white pie biancha both were just bad, the kids didn't even like it!!! Fries are the awful breaded type. Wings were decent, motz sticks were pretty good. That's about it. I'm sure they make their money on people who only go there once.

Good crust, decent flavor on the white pizza, but we added broccoli and mushrooms and what a disappointment. The broccoli looks like they scraped up the leftovers out of the grocery bag, soooo chinch, and the mushrooms had this weird yellow color, not freshly and not sauteed in anything I've ever seen. Come on, fresh ingredients are everything on a good pizza. And soooo cheap. To be chincy with amounts and quality just makes no sense.

Local pizza legend, always great food and atmosphere

I really like the pizza here as compared to a lot of places in Cape May. The slices are big with thin crust, the flavor is good, and the cheese and tomato are blended well. I've been here a bunch of times and the quality is consistent.

For the past two years, my roommates and I have been on a quest... to find the best pizza in South Jersey. We ve gone far and wide, from Camden to Cape May, in search of a holy pie. Jake s Pizza is that pie. The crust, crisp but tender. The cheese, melted and gooey but firm. The sauce, ROBUST. To quote my roommates: good mouth feel, quite excellent. Yum. If you need pizza in South Jersey, there s only one option: Jake s.

Great tasting pizza. Cheesy, crispy, and no flop. Can't wait to be back in the area.
