We did two load for them in a week. 1st one no issues. The second time, same driver, with same truck was sitting on a dock for more than an 1 1/2 hours, and he went to ask how much longer it would take. They told him to leave and go to his truck, 15min later they came & told him to leave because they will reject his trailer due to "odor" which was not existent. btw - the trailer was checked, the doors were open, and he was sitting on a dock for more than 1 1/2 hours- and as soon as he went to ask them - they rejected him. Some of the guys there are just lazy, arrogant & vindictive.
Friendly people working in shipping. I loaded here twice this week. Monday it took 3.5 hours to get loaded and leave. Thursday took 1.5 hours. Mixed bag as far as picking up or delivering here. Have to dail number from sign posted at door to get loading instructions.
One of the best places I've had the privilege to work for. The benefits are amazing for employees and their families and are very affordable . The people that work at Jacob Holm become more that just co worker they become your family. Jacob Holm provides opportunities for employees to grow within the company.
I have to wait 5 hours before backing in to the doc and another 2 and a half to load me up the worst shipper possible
Who is malicious? Rb Rr is not the one with blood on his hands. If safety protocols were in place why did a workplace death occur? If the DOL says a fatal accident can happen in a safe workplace, then the DOL is wrong. A workplace can't be safe and deadly at the same time. It is absolutely the responsibility of the employer to provide a safe workplace. No one would ever suffer accidental death in a safe workplace. It is not slander when it is true. It's slander when Jacob Holm managers make false accusations. The denials and accusations of Jacob Holm managers are false and completely invalid. Jacob Holm management does not get to play the victim when an innocent man lost his life on their workplace. Their hurt feelings over being criticized can not compare with the anguish of the real victim's family.
I didn t experience any racist bs , also i arrived 1 hour before appt 15 min after i was asigned to dock and took about 40 min to get empty ..... the receiving guy was nice and polite ....
So good? That s not what was said about the Jacob Holm dust that was spread all over the nearby dealership 5 different times. That s not what was on the news about the excessive noise. An excellent employer can attract a willing recruit in less than 6 months and doesn't fire people for having jury duty. One Jacob Holm employee was injured on the job, immediately fired, rolled out to the parking lot in an office chair and abandoned there to tend to his injuries himself at his own expense. Was that excellence ? If the reviews aren t true why does Jacob Holm need a taxpayer bailout?
Driver checked in at 10:30AM and was given a dock right away. They asked him to sweep the trailer before inspection and started loading him around 11AM. Truck was fully loaded at 12PM. Can't complain!
