Jacksonville, FL Fire and Rescue Dept Review

I have been transported against my will. I was directed to sit down on the stretcher to briefly be checked out Then, I was strapped in, loaded into the ambulance, and told that i was "locked in" and had to choose which hospital I wanted to go to. I stated that I did not want to be transported and did not need medical attention. This is not the first time the paramedics have tricked me into accepting their assistance. they would not even let me grab my wallet and now I am stuck miles away from my car with no money for a cab. I am walking to my car. it's very upsetting that they care more about sending the bill rather than helping the patient.

Had a friend from Minnesota call because she was concerned about my covid symptoms. They called me and showed up at my door. I'm quaranting. Thank y'all so very much. Very kind men. I don't need hospitalization. I thank you so kindly for checking in on me. Thank you

They left me at the scene of an accident with a broken collarbone. They offered zero medical attention and were more concerned about how much the ride to the hospital would cost me than escorting me there. So there I was, at the scene of an accident with a totaled car, collarbone and shoulder, no medical attention, no way to get to a hospital and why? Because my head was covered with a scarf/wrap so they wrongfully assumed I was Muslim. Needless to say, discrimination is alive and well. Thankfully my injuries were not life-threatening, if not, I would have certainly died.

I was helped today by JFRD at hugenot beach. While I was swimming I was knocked against the rocks and was bleeding and in pain. Life guards and ocean rescue was very helpful and responded very quickly, I am grateful to have been helped.
