The campus is absolutely beautiful! The main building is filled with installations of art that are truly stunning!
I lived right next to it, and they had a very nice soccer field.
My son is getting an excellent education at Barrack. The educational philosophy at Barrack is one that takes each student individual needs into account. Whether your observance in Judaism leans more toward the orthodox or something in the other direction Barrack welcomes everyone easily and without judgement. From Sports, the Arts, STEAM and everything in between there is something for which every student can engage. I highly recommend this school:)

This school is everything. Academic but with a great vibe. It s a supportive environment where peers, parents and teachers work together for your child to be successful. It s a formula that works. Lastly, it s secular. So it works for anyone of Jewish faith. I didn t even have a Bat Mitzvah and ate bread on Passover. If you are considering private school, I say it s worth every penny.
Ive been going to this school for 3 years and let me tell you about it
-cost $30k a year for high school
-in 11th grade you go to israel for a semester which costs $12k and you have to pay full tuition that year plus the $12k
- school lunch costs $8 A DAY and its garbage
- the whole science department is worthless and most teachers there shouldve been fired a long time ago and i feel like their only goal is to make peoples lifes miserable
- the workload is so large and so stressful it makes your life miserable
- you really dont learn anything here all you really do is memorize worthless facts that youll forget in a week
- barrach takes every oppurtunity it can to make money
I highly suggest not to go here or send your child here is you want them to be happy and be challenged and grow to their potential. All this school has done for me is hold me back. DO NOT GO HERE
My children are receiving an incredible education with academic rigor mixed with values and integrity. The teachers and administration are knowledgeable and accessible and the college guidance counselors are so helpful in navigating the college selection and application process. Thank you Barrack!!
On 1/23/2019 the teacher s union was dissolved after 50+ years. I m ashamed to say I graduated from Akiba Hebrew Academy.
