J Vineyards & Winery Review

Enjoyed the wine and cheese paring. Beautiful property and their Chardonnays are a must try. Slightly disappointed they don't offer a military discount.

I brought my friends and partner from San Francisco to J as our third and final stop from a day of wine tasting. We all agreed to this was the absolute best.

We signed up for the Legacy Tasting, which comes complete with a variety of 6 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir still wines strategically paired with progressively more flavorful cheeses served elegantly alongside chocolate coated honeycomb, lavender and peach marmalade, bee pollen popcorn, and other interesting flavor combinations. The finishing touch is an adorable box of chocolate truffles.



I highly recommend J and very much look forward to coming back!

Love everything about this winery! Delicious wines, food and customer service. With that I joined the wine club. Go! I promise you will not be disappointed!!

We've been members for years, and the tasting experience here is amazing, with great food pairings. Come here especially for the bubbles (the Pinot Noir is good but you can find comparable at other Russian River wineries). Service is usually excellent and attentive.

Last night we did a virtual wine tasting with J Vineyards and it was excellent! Our family cannot be together this holiday season and this was a very fun alternative to connect via Zoom and learn about some awesome wines! Thanks to our host Zach, who did an excellent job explaining the wines, he was super knowledgeable and a lot of fun!!

Very enjoyable sparkling flight with matching cheese experience. Very well explained and an enjoyable experience for some contrast (ie Sparkling flight!) compared to other vineyard experiences in the area

I ve been a wine club member for the last year or two. Their wines are great and the patio tasting is beautiful. Unfortunately, you can t be late to your tasting. I was driving 2 hours to get there and was stuck behind a traffic accident and ended up being 20 mins late. I called twice to keep them posted on my delay and was told when I finally got there they wouldn t seat me. 4 hours round trip wasted even tho I called twice! I get that they are busy with covid restrictions but I saw them pull a table out of storage for another group and I would have happily stood at the bar. Clearly having a membership is meaningless to them. The only plus is one of the waiters recognized us and brought us a splash to drink while we were waiting for our wine pick up. His kindness almost was enough to make me keep my membership, but ultimately the 4 hours in the car with no tasting won and I cancelled as I was walking back to my car.

Terrible wine service when we went there. The wines were pre-poured but no one explained to us what we were drinking. When asked, the guy replied. "I am just pouring, I don't know." This place hands down wins the competition for the worst service. When the cheese plate arrived, the never explained the cheese and the pairing and walked away. He only came back to rush us to finish our bubbles so he can call it a day. At the end, he left early but never bothered telling us he has left. It was all terrible. Dodge this place. The cheese plate tasting but the bubbles were just alright.

I went this past Friday. Beautiful spot! Beautiful entrance with lush gardens. Arrived just before they opened at 11. We were the first ones to go in but it quickly filled. We had our tasting in the Legacy Room(?). I chose the bubbles option while my boyfriend had the reds flight. They were all great. Skipped on the snack options because we had just eaten breakfast, but the table next to us had very appetizing bites. The service was great and they were very friendly. Will return at some point!
