A long time customer. New faces and names continue a high level of help, personal interaction and meeting personal interests and needs continue to be experienced. Keep up the good work.
Visited Newport back in October and we always make it a point to stop in at J.H. Breakell. Found the perfect pair of earrings and bought them as a Christmas gift for my wife. Great people and local craftsman.
Just got my newest catalog. Can tell already must have a change of hands, again. Been a customer before it was even a mail order company. Can definitely see the difference in design. Makes you wonder if craftsmanship is still of quality. Doesn't seem as original.
My absolute favorite jewelry store.
I've been wearing the same silver chain for 20 years.
Always high quality.
Worth the money.
The place was a slave shop when I worked there briefly one holiday season. I was a temp hired/sent to Breakell to help them get through their holiday season rush. I helped to prepare and ship orders, had to wear white gloves, be meticulous, yet work fast. I did all three and thought I was good at it, felt I was working as fast as humanly possible! However, my supervisor, to my surprise, wasn't satisfied, said I had to go faster. F-lightning couldn't go any faster! I finally told her maybe she should consider finding someone else. She didn't reply, didn't say a word, had a look of shock on her face like she knew she was about to be screwed. I continued to work. I worked till the end of the day, but didn't show up the following morning. I never called, never went back there again. My phone rang-off the hook that morning. The temp agency was probably upset or desperate. I didn't answer, didn't need more grief and wasn't going back to Breakell for more. I only took the job there for extra cash over the holidays. That was my plan, anyway.
Traveled long ways to come and visit just to find out only one customer in the store at a time! So my fiance and I couldn't go in together! Absolutely ridiculous and absurd. We walked away.
They tried to allow a $1050.00 charge to my card. Luckily my bank flagged it and called me. No I did not try to use my card five minutes ago from California to a jewelry store in RHODE ISLAND!
Customer service phenomenal!! They custom made a bracelet for me to replace one I lost. Couldn't find bracelet on their website so I sent them pictures and they replaced it for me. Original bracelet had huge sentimental value to me and I recieved the bracelet before my birthday and ahead of schedule which was a wonderful surprise. Best quality and customer service!
