An art space that handles different themes every semester

It was really beautiful to visit these monuments which survived through the centuries, and which present us and tell us the historical events of the Ottoman period.

One of the best museums in Istanbul. Despite its temporary place in Beyoglu is much smaller, it is still a pleasure to visit. Plus has a good museum shop

Good museum The expos that we saw were well assembled and with taste.
They did not let us make videos of the works but if photos. Absurd.

Great museum, except surrounding construction makes it difficult to access currently. Lovely Bosphorus view in its Cafe/restaurant.

The exhibits and artifacts are spectacular everyone should definitely visit

Very interesting place with great art works. Nice atmosphere. Personnel attitude is very polite. Fee 65 TL about/around $8. Location is near the subway station ShishHane ( i hane).

You can find works by various local and international artists. 4 floors, small rooms, but with very interesting temporary exhibitions.

A modern environment with its name. Its target audience is very impressive. For example, it was great to witness the practical visits of kindergarten children. The restaurant is very convenient and the food is delicious. A quality example for artist candidates. The mentality of exiting new artists with them and the existing artists is very nice. In short, a quality environment that suits Istanbul. However, we had concerns about its location. What happens when Galataport ends? Does anyone knows?

I wish there were a few more of them, and it makes us feel like we live in an arid place.

Unmissable and great contrast to the various religious and historical attractions in the Capital.

Musical or exhibition hall of Turkish Modern Art. Overlooking the sea, you can watch the artifacts accompanied by the sea view, both an art museum.

Istanbul Modern Art Museum, Turkey's first private museum to organize modern and contemporary art exhibitions in 2004, Istanbul was established on an area of 8,000 square meters along the Bosphorus. It offers a multifaceted service area with permanent and permanent exhibition halls, photo gallery, education and social programs, library, cinema, restaurant and store.

A lot smaller than I thought it would be, but still pleasant. They only had two "contemporary" exhibitions with art from the 1990s onwards -- many of the floors had art from 1930s mixed in.
Not sure if I would pay 78 lira for it -- which is the price for non-turkish residents.

Contemporary art plus very interesting temporary exhibitions. We were there when 75 years of photography by Ara Guler was on display giving unique insight how life was in Istanbul through the decades.

I didn't connect but maybe it would suit another person

There are five floors in each floor and different exhibitions. It makes more sense to go up and down. Free entry on Thursdays.

It scares you how do you know how long I went there

Istanbul's one and only modern museum. Time to time they bring good collections.

This museum or maybe rather a center, shows a good variety of the art with a modern agenda. I was really surprised by the Turkish artists, except from the international ones. I would definitely recommend a visit for the artlovers out there. This place is also very close to good food and drinks afterwards.

It could be as good as a modern museum but frankly it wasn't my style

Extensive collection and temporary exhibitions carried out in Turkey and we want to see more activity with a pretty face. The restaurant section is especially attractive with its view and extensive menu. The fact that Thursdays are completely free and Tuesdays are free only for young people is an important factor for us to choose those days, but you should know that it will be quite crowded. You may not understand how the hours pass, so be sure to take water and a snack cracker to avoid interrupting your trip.

Half the place was closed and they didn't bother telling us when we bought the tickets.

Small museum. Ideal to visit and take in the art on display.

The museum is great. The place is also very good. The only problem is the security guards who make you feel constantly following you. It's not about tracking. They make you feel like you're watching.

Perfect for a couple of hours, nice museum on the inside, the art featured was also enjoyable to look at and read about. There's also a nice restaurant with an outdoor terrace overlooking the water.

Very neat and clean, an exhibition corner so hats. Our visit took place about 2 weeks ago, a series of works by Turkish artists and not trying to represent the use of time, some of them exciting, on show, the problem was finding the museum, as it is located between two construction sites during the work phase, therefore, I leave the accessibility to be imagined, a small flaw as we left satisfied with the visit. Not bad the restaurant bar inside that offers a quality of refreshment at the height of the place where it is located.

Expensive for entrance ticket compared to Turkish citizens even for as a student.. and its just 4 pretty small floors.

14 is not a museum to go to the lira. If you have the opportunity, it will be free on Thursdays and it will be free day.

Apart from the parking problem, it is a wonderful work with its internal and external structure.

Amazing place. Very well designed and managed. A lot to see inside. Exhibitions are held frequently.

When you have a free time, I recommend you to visit the museum with a view of the Bosphorus. (I'm guessing your visit will take 1-3 hours)

Here I can feel relaxed and refreshed. Thanks to the contributors. As I come here, I almost lose the control of the time. I think everyone feel like that. Great exhibitions come all the time. No wonder just get in here.

A place worth visiting, the cafe inside is very comfortable, just in time to meet the huge cruise ship, spectacular

Apar topar modern art. See you go to the statue of sleeping girl without going. Separate a separate time to each floor if possible 2 times a day 2 times a day because you can pass a little bit after a point because you can pass some of the time. Be prepared to experience Katarsis.

An attraction that is difficult to clearly assess. On the one hand - does nothing can compare to the museum, the Tate in London and the Museum of Islamic Art in KL. The price scares off, and the exhibition is not one of the largest. On the other - leaving I did not feel particularly disappointed. In short - Istanbul Modern is fine and can intrigue, and a brilliant view compensates for the relatively high ticket price.

I can describe it as a place that has the most unnecessary rules among the art museums I have visited and the employees who have entered the borders of the person with these rules.

Especially Body Worlds Original Body World-Life Cycle exhibition has been my favorite among the exhibitions I have seen so far. I find it important to host an exhibition where anatomy meets aesthetics. I am very glad that the place has become a cultural center.

There are beautiful artifacts but it can be a bit bored without much of art. The woman who sells tickets is a little biased. It is overly expensive at the place that sells souvenirs.

Istanbul Modern is literally a field of art. There can be different activities, I would like to follow them. I can not say the same for their employees, be very careful with themselves.

Calendar should be followed well. Extraordinary exhibitions can surprise you.

Turkey's first museum of modern and contemporary art. Now in his temporary space in Beyo lu. If you go until November 11, you can also see Anthony Cragg's temporary exhibition "Human Nature".
