Islington Play Association: Improving and Protecting Children's Play Experiences
For over 35 years, Islington Play Association (IPA) has been dedicated to improving and protecting children and young people's play experiences in Islington. As a non-profit organization, IPA is committed to providing safe, fun, and inclusive play opportunities for all children regardless of their background or ability.
At IPA, we believe that play is essential for children's physical, emotional, and social development. That's why we work tirelessly to create spaces where children can explore their creativity, build friendships, learn new skills, and have fun. Our team of experienced playworkers design and deliver a range of activities that are tailored to meet the needs of different age groups and abilities.
Our services include after-school clubs, holiday playschemes, adventure playgrounds as well as training courses for parents/carers on how they can support their child’s play at home. We also offer bespoke services such as birthday parties or events catering specifically for your child’s interests.
We understand that every child is unique with different interests; therefore our activities are designed with this in mind. Our adventure playgrounds provide an opportunity for children to engage in free-play where they can use their imagination while exploring the natural environment around them. We also offer structured activities such as arts & crafts sessions or sports games which help develop teamwork skills while having fun.
At IPA we take safety seriously; all our staff members undergo rigorous training before working with children ensuring they have the necessary knowledge on safeguarding procedures so you can be assured your child will be safe whilst under our care.
Our commitment towards inclusivity means that we welcome all families regardless of background or ability; we strive to make sure everyone feels included by adapting our services accordingly so everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in our activities.
