Tim, Bill & Kevin stand out, but overall they were all great....
I was stuck in Honolulu traffic and was concerned they would not wait.....but, they did.
Will definitely come back to Island Divers....

Did my PADI Open Water Certification with Island Divers, which was a great experience. Our instructors Pascal and Samy were highly competent and helpful. Great dives, especially on the second day with Matt as the boat captain. Definitely recommended!

I dove with island divers and it was so much fun! The crew was great. Very safe and very fun. I would definitely go back :-)

Horrible service. The crew did not care about the snorkeling group. We were all treated like trash and were an afterthought. The boat didn't even leave the dock until an hour and a half after the scheduled time. No updates from the staff about the boat delay, just a consistent "we are running a little late".

The entire boat crew were immature children, and I would not recommend anyone putting their lives in the hands of this company.

Thus team of qualified people work very hard to give a memorable diving experience.

No matter what you go in for, this shop is incredible. Dave, Mary, and Tim are all incredible, and happy to answer your questions. The crew is professional and friendly. If you do not have fun with these guys, you just don't want to have fun.

I got to be a part of the Sunday 3-tank charter and a Tuesday 2-tank charter. I can't recommend Island Divers enough! Their staff and service was awesome from getting checked in to getting rental gear that fit just right to the dive guides making everything a great experience. The dive guides were great about leading the group but also allowing you to go at your own pace along the wrecks/reef if you wanted. When I come back to Oahu, I will definitely be giving them another call!

I was fortunate enough to be able to go through Island Divers Hawaii for my first dives after my open water certification dives. Being a new diver, I wanted to make sure I found somewhere that would work with me. I can't begin to express how comfortable and safe I felt with every diver through Island Divers. Not to mention what an amazing time I had. I was with Bill on my first couple dives who was so willing to make sure I was ready for everything and reviewed some things I wanted to hear again. He was excellent. Then, I got to sit down with Tim to plan my next dives who talked with Bill and between the three of us, decided what kind of dive was best for me. I also had the pleasure of diving with Jeremy who was excellent as well (I would have a hard time believing any of their divers aren't excellent). Jeremy was so willing to talk about the dives and my specific equipment with me to make me feel prepared and comfortable. Kevin was another diver on the boat that was also super knowledgeable and helpful. I can't imagine having gone through any other shop for my dives here. Truly a great experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

I've been on a dozen or so dives with these folks over the years... They went through some tragedy recently but there's a risk you take with diving. One time my tank starting separating from my body down about 80' and Maxine snapped it back on. Another dive, the buoy line snapped in crazy currents and we did everything by the book. Captain Joe and the other captains were skilled and attentive. I recommend them and have trusted them with my life many times.

Went out with these guys for my first time ever scuba diving. They made it super easy and fun and still allowed us the freedom to swim around close to them and have a good time. Saw lots of sea turtles!!! Very awesome experience.

Just finished the advanced 2 tank dive with Island Divers. We did 2 drift dives, 1 on a wall and 1 on a ledge with cool swim throughs. Jeremy and David were great at keeping track of our large group of 14 divers and helpful with equipment changes during the surface interval. They took great care in reading the weather/water to choose optimal location to give the divers the best dive experience. We saw tons of fish, an eel, some turtles, a monk seal, an octopus, and an eagle ray. I highly recommend them.

Josie, Tim, Jason, and Chandler made my dive a fantastic experience. Josie was an excellent guide for my first experience scuba diving. She taught me a ton of tricks for Scubaing effectively and safely while also giving a great show of the dive sites.

PS. Josie, I was not eaten by the sharks and the experience was fantastic.

This is a great place with great service, i did my open water certification here and both days were great. The staff is very friendly and are very wise on what they do. Joy was really good at helping us with questions and giving us tips and advice. Ask for Joy he is awsome.

Awsome time getting PADI Open Water Certified by Danial and Sam! Both Instructors were awsome, Daniel took us through most of the check offs on day one so we were able to enjoy most of day two with Sam doing the last few check offs in open water. Huge thanks to all the crew and captain's both days!!! Great experance!

Other than being far from town I'd say Island Divers runs a perfect operation. Their shop is right on the pier so there's no wasted time getting to the boat. The boat is large with ample space for setup and teardown. Professional instructors give thorough and clear instructions and take safety very seriously.

Great group. Awesome locations. Very courteous and amenable. Would dive them again.

Had a great dive with these guys on 6 Dec 2020, conditions were excellent so the dive master & boat captain took us to these 2 rarely available drift dives, Skimmins Ledge and Sea Cave, excellent dives. Tons of wildlife, sharks, turtles, schooling fish, and much more. Would definitely go with these guys again!!!!

Island Divers Hawaii is awesome. I had to reschedule my Open Water course a couple times and they were very understanding and helpful. Tim helped a lot with that. I had Greg and Bill as my instructors and they did a great job. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Incredible experience for sure! Can't wait to get back in the water. Thank you!

We went out with them on three boats over two days. I am a scuba instructor so I know the drill on dive boats. Some of the guys like Nate, Mark and another guy who's name escapes me were great. They were safe, provided strong customer service and went out of their way to make for good dives. Some of their folks were questionable. Got left behind by a couple of DMs, had a really unenjoyable drift dive that involved into the current surface swims and being towed by the boat because the dive leader took us where we shouldn't have been. My buddy ran low on air after his first dive and no one was there to help him back on the boat even though there were two crew on the boat at the time. And what is up with letting a customer drive the boat all the way back to the dock and into the slip (okay, she was really good looking but...)? Makes me wonder if I would have gotten better service if I was a thin blond. Might try them again because the Corsair dive rocked but, I thought I was getting more than a bunch of drift diving close to the mouth of the harbor for my cash.

Great dives and great boat crew. They set up our gear, swapped our tanks, and even floated my wifes gear due to her bad back and knees. This was a nicely run dive.

This is the 7th year that I gave gone diving with this company. They are always accommodating, friendly and proveide great sreview. They pick you up at your hotel, take you to the dive ship where they fil out any required paperwork before jumping on the boat to go out diving. The dive masters are very knowledgeable making it a great experience. After the dive, they will take you back to your hotel.

Great dive boat and crew including Capt. Kelsey g deck hand Gabe. Divemaster Jason was great & did a good job instructing my Son & I on our first nitrox dive.
Wakona the DMC was helpful getting our eq. set. We saw many whales & four whales breaching the surface on our way out to the dive site and turtles and other great wildlife while diving.
A great day of diving in Oahu!

I have been out with this company several times and it is always a great time. The staff is friendly, professional, and safety conscious. Saturday, I did a three tank drift dive charter, and it was amazing. We were able to dive site I have not seen and I was certainly not disappointed! Kevin and Tim, our dive masters, did an excellent job. There knowledge and service were superb. Thank you, Island Divers. I have booked a charter to go out again this weekend!!

My daughter is not a certified diver and did a discovery dive with Kirk. He was totally awesome. Nothing but great things to say about the instructor Kirk and boat captain Tim!

Great people. Equipment was doable. Guaranteed to see a turtle or two.

Went there as a total beginner. I had the discover scuba course and after that a dive. The lesson was at a pool but it definitely helped learn some essential skills and gain some familiarity with the equipment.
We went out with a boat of about 20 people of varying experience. We dived twice, maximum depth at 12.5 meters, durations of 40 and and 30 minutes approximately. Attention was paid to our flight schedule, to make sure nobody had a flight too close to the dive. More experienced people were let explore more.
During the dive, the instructors (Kevin and Jim) were great and gave a lot of focus to beginners and to people with poor swimming skills. The views down there were impressive, but then again that's my first dive. Saw turtles, eels, starfish, a lot of coral fish, even a statue of Buddha.
I took away a star because, although they mentioned it before the dive, they forgot to give us the certificate for the dive. We also forgot to ask, to be honest, we went back few minutes later but the instructors had left. They told us they would mail it to us, so if they do, I'll change to five stars.

Way cool dives. Captain and dive masters were awesome. They got us right on the turtles they took care of all the gear. Amazing experience.

Considering scuba divining while visiting paradise? Or if you are like me you have lived here for year's and never made it to the bottom of the ocean. This review will focus on a novice diver and give you a few things you cannot find on the website. First things first...if you drink. Do not show up hung over. You will thank me later! Second if you get sea sick at all (take pills or patches). You will need it. You will arrive early (don't be late..everyone else will be waiting on you) and sign medical paperwork. If you have congestion of any kind or have been ill;reschedule. You will not be allowed to dive if you cannot clear your ears. You will dive twice, which should take you about 2-3 hours. Here is my final recommendation to you...bring your snacks with you (chips, granola and some sweets). You will return back with most of your boat mates sleeping and view the awesome turtles slideshow. Prepare for your life to be changed. OK review done...now go have a BLAST!

Recommended Staff: Nate is a blast, professional, personable and empathic. He explains the rules with a small doll you will never forget. If you have the opportunity to be Team Nate...do it!

Me and my family had an amazing time scuba diving in Hawaii with this company! Captain Kelsey was great and our dive master Dave was amazing and super helpful. All we did was scuba and Dave did everything else with our tanks and equipment along the way. Amazing sights and SO many turtles. This is an amazing company and definitely tip everybody well for an amazing job!!

I had a great experience with Island Divers! I did two world class drift dives with Larry one day and a great wreck with Stephen another day. They both did a great job to take care of their dive teams. It's a very professionally run operation and it was convenient that they picked me up in town. I look forward to diving with them again.

Did the two tank dive with Island divers. They were very professional , went out of their way to help out and make sure everything was safe. they were very hands-on and the dive guide was great . I would definitely use Island divers again .

The dive was great at Turtle Canyon and the crew was exceptional. Truely enjoyed our day out on the water even with the heavy currents.

Went here to get my SSI Open Water Diver certification. I had Chandler for my first day, he was very methodical and very helpful whenever anyone struggled. He created a great atmosphere to learn and have fun all at the same time. Captain Tim for my first and second dive on Day 1 made it a great time. Dive 3 and 4 to finish out my certification I had Josie as my instructor and Captain Nick. Made for some fun dives. The instructors were really good at pointing out eels, flounder, turtles among a bunch of other cool animals. Definitely recommend this spot to get certified or to just go diving with for fun!

BAM! five stars. Great customer service, clean boats, great dives. If I'm going out with a dive company, it's this one.

I did both a discovery dive to get my wife's feet wet and a three tank Sunday dive with Island Divers during my Honeymoon. Legitimately five out of five as it was the best diving boat that I've been on. Team Wolverine all the way! Special call outs to the Captain Mary, who generously helped me when I was getting sea-sick (second time in almost fifty trips). Bill and Colton were top tier instructors, and they made what were some quite difficult dives (conditions were bad) into safe, good times.

Helpful friendly staff, and the dive sites are pretty amazing. The Hawaiian waters seem to be recovering nicely and once you get to the deeper dives the scenery is beautiful. The shallow reefs are still beautiful and worth the trip, but the deeper dives are beautiful.

Enjoyed two wonderful dives today with knowledgeable, experienced, & friendly staff. Will come back when I return to the island.

The only fun part of this experience was seeing whales miles away. The crew was nice for the most part but vaping in front of young people. Almost everyone got sea sick and I didn t even see any turtles while snorkeling. We did see some off the side of the boat but the crew wouldn t even let us go by that area and had no intention of turning the boat. I probably saw one small fish while snorkeling. We also went with divers so the snorkelers had to wait for 2 hours on the hot rocky boat trying not to puke and wait for them to be done. They also said we would be heading back by 11:30 but didn t get back until 1. Not trying to be a Karen but i truly had a terrible time. Definitely not worth the money. Also would not recommend if you have any type of motion sickness.

I had an excellent experience diving here. All of the staff were friendly and professional and the prices were very reasonable.

I originally scheduled and did my pool dive at Schofield Barracks Pool with Scuba Steve, and then later did my open water dives with Chandler and Josie.

The initial pool dive with Scuba Steve was great. He was very hands on and methodical, and of course a little salty since he s a veteran. All 5 students had a good time and laughed a bit, and Steve took time with each student to make sure we understood the basics. Also, the ability to use the Richardson pool great given how large it is.

My partner and I scheduled to do his pool dive, and then do open water dive 1 and 2 with Chandler. Chandler was incredible. He was super knowledgeable and experienced, laid back, and was great at communicating the instruction to us, especially for the skills we had to demonstrate. He also gave me the option to redo the pool session if I wanted to brush up on skills before the open water dive, which I did. This guy rocks and I definitely want to dive more with him.

For dive 3 and 4 we had Josie. Josie was great as well and we had no complaints. She communicated effectively and took care of us on our final dives. On board they offered a hot towel with peppermint to wash our faces and snacks as well. The whole professional dive team worked well together under Captain Tim and all their experience and personalities made it a memorable experience.

Both dives were reef dives at koko crater and turtle canyon. The sights down under were not the best, but the teams were interactive and pointed out some turtles and eels to us and kept it lively.

I m looking forward to doing some other more exciting dives with the company and interacting with more of the team. Thanks again Island Divers!

We did a discovery dive with Daniel which included a pool training (teaches you how to breath under water and other tools) as well as two dives.
Daniel was an amazing guide. He answered all our questions and was very patient. During our pool session, Daniel explained how to handle several different situations if anything happens during our dives. The most helpful thing was how to equalize your ears under water. During the two Daniel made sure we stayed together as a group and everyone was feeling comfortable under water. There was a not a lot of time between the two dives. The boat crew took care of changing out the tanks as well as handed out snacks. I would recommend not eating a big meal or anything spicy or greasy before your dives if you are prone to seasickness.
Over all, it was amazing experience. I would highly recommend the the discovery dive. We hope to do more in the future!

Best boat dive I've done. We did the 3 tank dive with Jeremy and Andrea. They are absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them. Each dive was exciting and the crew made the experience very memorable. They gave us many options for dives and gave good briefs about what to expect. We ended up doing a sea cave drift, baby barge drift, and wrapped up the day with fantasy reef. Overall an amazing experience. Thanks again to Jeremy and Andrea for being so awesome.

Had a couple wicked reef dives with these guys the other day. Professional, safety conscious crew that sets up all your gear for you. All you have to do is focus on the amazing scenery. Looking forward to diving with them again!

Dove the two tank wreck and drift dive to baby barge and fantasy reef. The experience was one of my favorite dives in Hawaii and the fun per dollar is one of the best I've seen so far. Mary, Kelsey, and Camila made the dives fun, safe, and entertaining. The group was a mix between experienced and new divers, Mary ensured the dives maximized time for each experience group, while especially looking out for the newest divers. If time permits will definitely dive with Island Divers again, highly recommend!

Great Crew! They are super helpful and knowledgeable, you can tell everyone is very experienced. It is well worth the money. Also, they make diving in Hawaii, which is already a rare, awesome opportunity, even better!

I highly recommend diving with these guys. We went on three charters with dive masters Bill and Colton, and boat captain Mary, and they took great care of us. I have the utmost confidence in their skills and always felt safe under their supervision. The shop also carries and last-minute needs you may have forgotten to pack. Next time the wife and I are in Oahu, Isalnd Divers is our shop.

Had an amazing time yesterday doing an all day, 4 tank, 4 wreck dive! Matt and Lloyd couldn t have taken better care of us! Snacks provided after each dive, as well as lunch! We dive with Island Divers frequently and it s always a fun adventure!!

I was in Hawaii on business but I flew in a few days early to spend some time on the beach. A friend of mine had heard that I would be in Honolulu and he recommended I book a dive, time permitting. He had just been out with Island Divers Hawaii on his last visit to the island and had a great experience so I decided to go for it. I booked a single day, three dive, diving trip about a week before my first day in town (bonus points for having a shuttle that would travel me to/from my Waikiki hotel) so, bright and early Sunday morning, I was on my way to the shop. My guide that day was David (bonus points on the guides being instructors or vice versa). I have to say, I love David. Not only is he easy going and charismatic but he's also exceptionally skilled and was able to assess our abilities right off the bat which allowed for better diving experiences for everyone. I had told David that morning that I wanted whales, sharks, and turtles. By the end of the third dive, we'd gotten to see all that and more! While nobody can control the wildlife, Dave knew where certain critters hung out and he took us there and that's half the battle. We swam with sharks, turtles, a monk seal, eagle rays, eels, tons of fish, you name it! We didn't get to swim with whales but we did get to see them on one of our surface intervals! I'll take it! I had such a great time on Sunday that I decided to book another day of diving with Island Divers the next day, on Monday, with a guide named Bruce. To my surprise, the next day I went back out with David. Bruce had called out. I was incredibly happy about the change (not to discredit Bruce) simply because there's a comfort in repeat diving buddies. Anyway, the second day was just as incredible as the first. Because Dave and I had already done three dives together the day prior, he knew my skill level and it just made everything so much better. After we got back to the shop, I just couldn't help myself...I booked a third day. I was having such a great time that I knew I needed to spend my final free morning going back out with these guys. On Tuesday, I did a two dive trip with an instructor and guide named Kevin. Upon my exit from the first dive on Tuesday, my GoPro leash broke and Kevin (thankfully) was still in the water, saw my camera plummeting to the ocean floor, and grabbed it before it went 100' down. Kinda bummed that it wasn't recording at the time. Oh well. Thanks Kevin!! Both dives on Tuesday were different locations than I had done on Sunday and Monday and I was truly grateful that these guys went to such lengths to make sure my dives weren't redundant. I also want to give a shout out to Tim who was running the shop all three days I was there and Captain Joe who took us out all three days. Everyone I met at the company made my experience special in some way and I can't recommend this company enough. If you're looking for a fun and safe time diving in Hawaii, look no further!

Friendly and professional! Island Divers understands while i am getting PADI certified, I should still have as much fun as possible.

My instructor was Chandler, and he was patient and knowledgeable. I learned so much from him about how to set up my diving equipment, how to manage myself underwater, and many other necessary safety skillsets. He also gave me lots of useful tips from his own experience which i appreciate so much. Steve and Tim were also very responsive, nice and funny, keeping the shop lively.

I will dive with them again and will recommend to anyone that is looking for diving or getting PADI/SSI certified with Island Divers in Honolulu.

We saw the the price for diving online and decided to go to the shop . Our first contact was 2 Days ago with Tim . He was so friendly!He did a lot of jokes and he was very helpful! We decided to book the 3 Tank Dive Tour ( start 7:30 am). The booking took us 15 min. He asked about size and weights . Next morning we arrived just in time at 7:25 and everything was prepared( see picture). That was awesome! We tried our prepared stuff. The equipment is awesome!High Quality! Weights in jackets!

Awesome experience today! I'm a local and I've dived (dove? doven? diven? I think it's diven)... I've diven with these guys a few times and each time had an excellent experience. They are very professional: you can trust that they will take care of you and make sure you have a smooth and memorable dive experience, but they are also fun and personable. It's also significant that their boats depart directly from the dive shop. Most other outfits on the island just rent space on a big dive boat operated by a separate business so you never really know what to expect. Mahalo Island Divers!

Island Divers Hawaii staff was amazing, to include the boat captins and the owner. They took their time to ensure everyone understood what was going on and that you were comfortable with all skills. Anna and Jose went above and beyond to ensure we were ready. Anna really made the dives fun and educational, plus she has killer stability in the water. Matt helped with our second pool time skills and gave us additional training on buoyancy, which helped a lot during both drives. Hands down, I would definitely choose island Divers for future dives.

First time divers, my daughter and I walked in the shop and was greeted by Evans our diving trainer. He eased our worries by keeping us laughing and smiling during the registration and orientation. Off to take a test run in a swimming pool. Both on the way and the way back he repeatedly quizzed us about safety maneuvers we learned. He was professional and extremely PATIENT as we washed away our gitters.

Daniel was our dive guide. We had a bit of trouble getting our ears to adjust during our descend. He was patient and has a calming demeanor. He was very attentive and was always double and triple checking to ensure we were okay. Daniel pointed out each and every fish and other sealife by name. I saw a humongous sea turtle.... I am still in awe.

This was the #1 BEST experience in my entire life. Thank you to Captain Joe who announced our locations, weather and ensured our safety while on his vessel. My dive experience back in 2016 with Island Divers was great, however they made my November 2019 trip experience even better! Island Divers and Honolulu Scuba Co worked with me from my first phone call to my last dive on the island.
I called and asked several questions and expressed my concerns about the dives I wanted to do. Tim went over the dive sites and training available that I was interested in. He worked with my schedule and was able to book me with the two companies during my time there. My shallow dives with Captain Kelsey, Instructor Steve, and Crew at Koko Crater and Turtle Canyon were perfect for me! Instructor Dave's brief helped remind me of all the little important details that I needed. The dives visibility, beautiful sea life along with the many sea turtles made my dives back quite enjoyable. At the Honolulu Scuba Co I received my PADI Enriched Air Diver certification during the wreck dives (YO-257, San Pedro and Sea Tiger) with Instructor Dave. Captain Joe, Dave, Tim and Patrick always put safety first. I saw this with all the crews I went with. From my hands on training to the vessel and dive briefs. At the wreck dives I saw white spotted eagle rays, sea turtles, schools of fish and beautiful unique sea life. My final dives (LCU and drift dive) with Captain Mary, Instructor Sammy and Crew Maddie was a great finishing touch. The weather started getting rocky towards the end but they kept us safe and I was able to have an enjoyable and memorable time. Again words cannot describe the beautiful sea life I saw and the white tip reef sharks were a great way to finish my dives on Oahu! From the little to the big things, thank you to Island Divers Hawaii and Honolulu Scuba Company for my great dive experience!

A great place with knowledgeable and friendly guides. They help where needed without being rigid on what to do when SCUBA diving. Loved this place and would do it again with them!

This place was amazing! One of the best dives I've had... And I've had a lot. Staff was very helpful and catering. I had a hurt knee and they still made it a memorable experience for me and my mother and my daughter to dive. We even saw whales on the way back!! I highly recommend Tim, Alan Josie and the rest of the crew for a dive worth coming back for!!

My friends and I recently did a scuba refresher course through this dive shop. We are disappointed with the management of this dive shop and would not recommend it to anyone. To be fair, we re sure covid has impacted the operations of businesses all around; however, what we experienced was not covid friendly nor was it professional. We want to clarify that we thought the instructors were amazing and that they did their best to help us navigate the mess at the dive shop.

Here are the ways in which we did not receive the service that we paid for:

1. On their website the refresher course is described as a full day activity that starts in the morning. In the confirmation email, it said we should show up at 12. Thank god we called and clarified with them and the actual time we had to show up was 9 am. Poor communication on their end.
2. When making the reservation, they requested information about our weight and shoe size so that we could have the right fitting gear. When we showed up, turns out they had several divers go out in the morning so the majority of the equipment was not available. I had to wear a size Large BCD and I normally need an XS. We had to wear fins and masks that were too big. Our instructor told us that the divers would be returning before we went out to the ocean so that we could swap out for better fitted gear. While that was somewhat true, we still didn t get the exact sizing we needed. On top of that, the shop didn t seem to have enough regulators. Our instructor had to hunt down a regulator for our group for 15 minutes. How can a dive shop not have the right gear or enough regulators for each diver? Poor management in booking the dives that day.
3. When we called to make a reservation and asked about their covid policy, we were told that everything was going to be at half capacity. This was simply not true. Our boat was full as was our refresher course in the morning that took place in the pool. At one point there were FIFTEEN+ divers in a very small pool.
4. The refresher course was supposed to be from 9 am - ~11 am. This included getting fitted with the right gear and then heading to the pool. We were expecting at least an hour in the pool to get comfortable again and the reality is that we only got FIFTEEN MINUTES. The pool was completely overbooked with other classes and at some point, we had to get in with everyone else or the dive boat would ve left without us. This was NOT sufficient time to get refreshed. Our instructor, Paul, was awesome. He was patient and was trying to get us as comfortable as possible, but it was a very difficult situation to navigate.
5. Something that was NOT mentioned on the website, the confirmation email or on the phone is that the refresher course is off-site at a house. We had originally planned to take an Uber to the dive school, but we were able to get a car at the last minute. Thank god we did because we were expected to take a bunch of the gear in our car and to drive to this location. If we didn t have this car, we would ve lost even more time & $$ waiting for another Uber to take us to this location. Again, another example of poor communication from the dive shop.
6. The website says that we will do two 45 minute dives at 2 reef sites. In reality we did two 45 minute dives at 1 reef site. We just moved the boat to a different mooring line at the same site. We know that obviously this is weather dependent, but it was the most perfect day out.
7. This is really minor, but on the phone we were told the dive boat would have snacks & water for us. There were no snacks. Not a big deal, but if we had known, we could ve prepared to bring our own. Again, poor communication.

We want to give a huge shout out to our instructor, Paul. He was amazing and really patient and helped us out wherever he could. The other instructors on our boat were also awesome (Hunter, Josie, Chandler, Jess, Captain Nick). They made our experience awesome despite all of the hiccups & poor planning on behalf of the dive shop throughout the day.

We did the Open Water certification course with Kevin and Kurt as our instructors on Dec 13th and 14th, 2020. It was an amazing experience!!! Having never dived before, I didn't know what to expect and really wasn't so sure of my capabilities. First day was a bit tough but second day got a lot better; the boat dives were a blast! Kevin and Kirk are both great teachers; they were very patient and helped me get better at skills/areas I am not comfortable with. Now having successfully completed the course, we really look forward to future diving experiences. Thank you IDH!

Great shop with locations all over the island. The dive club is so worth it if you live on the island.

Colton and Mary were awesome on our New Years Day dive! Rough seas but they made us all comfortable and found some great dive sites. Only 8 divers on our boat and they took great care of us. Swapped gear over between dives and fed us lunch! My son and I also did the Nitrox course and Colton helped us understand the process. Great team at Island Divers Hawaii! Loved Saffron too!

Island Divers was awesome. I will recommend them to all my scuba friends.

Awesome experience with these guys getting my SSI open water certification. Great diving off Koko Head, lots of turtles and awesome fish on the reef! :)

Great group of dive professionals. Friendly, polite, knowledgeable. I ve been diving with these guys for years now. I dove several times as a tourist over the years and now since I have moved to Oahu they are my only dive shop. Always have a great time. Chandler was awesome!

Irresponsible and unsafe. Cheap for a reason. Like others have said, if you have any previous experience or dive often, you will understand how poor this place is. Once we arrived at the shop we had to wait around for an hour for seemingly no reason before we could start fitting the rental gear and boarding the boat. My buddy was doing his referral dives for the OW cert. For his first ever real scuba dive, he was placed in a group of SEVEN students with one instructor. He had to set up the gear by himself, which he had only done once before, and no employee came to check it over. Luckily I was there to do this. None of the surface skills required for a PADI OW cert were practiced or assessed - they just descended and started doing regulator recovery and mask clearing. If two students had had an issue or panicked underwater, there was no way this lone instructor could have handled the situation. It was a disaster waiting to happen. Irresponsible and unsafe.
Our next two dive charters were much better, with more to see underwater and a much better instructor-to-student ratio, but the first experience was so ludicrous and likely unsafe.
Diving with Kona Honu Divers on the Big Island the next week really put things into perspective, showing how terrible IDH was with both service and safety.

This place is great. The guides are patient and attentive. Our guide Andrew is awesome. He gave me his own mask when my mask broke.

Great dive fantastic crew and staff. Overall a magnificent experience..watched the instructors with new divers and they were attentive and thorough..with experienced divers the divemaster was available for questions and clear with instructions ensuring a good safe dive for all. The owner Matt was just awesome as well as Anna had an amazing time with these folks and plan to have many more very soon

I took a charter boat dive. The staff was very helpful. I'm glad I chose them.

Went out on a three-tanker on Sunday, 14 March. The BEST DIVE I ve had all year! A full experience...two wrecks, fantastic drift dive, and great events during the surface intervals (great views of dolphins swimming with the boat and a monk seal)! Jeremy was fantastic and fun to dive with, can t wait to go back! The whole crew made sure we enjoyed the day! See you again, real soon!

Did a beginner 2-tank dive in early January. The shop was professional, safe and really knew what they were doing getting us ready. The dives themselves were awesome, we saw sea turtles, octopuses, sea cucumbers, sea urchins, and hundreds of types of fish.

Most enjoyable dive trip I've ever taken, even tho the weather didn't cooperate for one of the sites. Crew was a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about the area, got us to a few really great spots! The snacks were a nice touch too :)

I have been diving in Hawaii many times since I was certified in 1971. The morning trip on Saturday February 6th was one of the best I have ever had in Hawaii . visibility was great at both locations , we saw dolphins, a manta ray , an eagle ray that stayed with us for a while and we heard whales talking throughout the dive. As great as the diving was the entire staff was even better. They took care of everyone s needs and were as friendly as any diving staff I have ever dove with. THANK YOU ALL !!!
