This company doesn't even rate 1 star, but a star had to be chosen in order to leave a review. I have been an Executive Administrative Assistant for many years, supporting the President, Vice President, Controller and General Counsel of my previous company, and can assure any prospective employee that from the top down this is a truly terrible place to work. No amount of money is worth the stress and shear volume of work. You will be expected to accomplish 16 hours of work in 8 and be on call at all times. There is no respect, consideration or appreciation from the Center Director, who has been through 8 Senior Administrative Assistants in less than a year. She is highly critical, overly demanding, aggressive with her staff, condescending, overpowering and the reason I left. I spent 3 months working directly for the Center Director, longer than the previous 6 Assistants and longer than the one who came after me. The Assistant who took the position after I resigned the second week in January 2017 lasted no more than 8 weeks, as Center is again advertising for a Senior Administrative Assistant. Please note that 2 of those Assistants resigned after requiring medication to deal with the stress of working there. I lost 25+ pounds working for the Melissa Volpe, and it was a DIRECT result of her treatment of me. I was expected to know my position inside and out after only 2 weeks, an impossible task. I was expected to clean the Center, including the bathroom and take out the trash daily, and was reprimanded for not having the recycled paper disposed of, even though I had no idea I was supposed to do any of those things. I was criticized for asking questions, and when I protested, was told I was passive aggressive by the Director. A VERY small percentage of the staff have been there any significant time, and the Director is the reason. What is worse is that upper management is aware that she is a problem, but makes no move to replace her, which in my opinion clearly states that their employees matter very little to them. This is not a good company to work for, I recommend that you RUN from any position they advertise.

The program is not for everyone. It has many pro's (diverse educational options, highly structured & being free, $25 pre tax biweekly 1-185 days/ $35 pre tax biweekly after 185 days. $500 -$1000 upon completion). I feel the program is more suited for troubled youths (troubled homes/neighborhoods) who need to be removed from their environment to succeed, youths who has no options (rural areas with no community services/equal program opportunities & family support), or youths interested in the armed forces. I can't see anyone who has a good home life, support system & similar services offered in there own area subjecting themselves to this program. I recently accompanied someone on a tour & was very put off. The staff appeared friendly but i got high pressure sales tactics vibe. It's run like a jail or group home/boot camp. In my personal opinion...if your program is so great you don't have to sell it so hard, it sells it's self. Weigh your options & good luck on your endeavors.
