I am being treated at the 7th floor monobloc hypertension treatment center. First thorough visit. The doctor Prof Pontremoli very professionally dismisses me with the prescription sheet as well as the new pharmacological treatment. On the sheet it says that the center is available to the patient for problems etc.
The new treatment creates problems for me and then, after about two weeks, I try to call the center. No answer from the various telephone numbers on the sheet given to me. Finally a person answers me to whom I expose the problem; he replies hastily that the professor is absent and that there is no one to refer to. He tells me to ask my GP.
I knew this too.
And I have nothing to add but my disappointment.

Experience after first aid and urology department:...

Experience after first aid and urology department: mediocrity.
I'm used to different hospitals in Turin, but bad luck was I was at the sea and I had to go to S. Martino.
I had a urinary tract infection, pyelonephritis and they asked me to pee in a toilet on the edge of contamination and from Chernobyl's alienation zone (joke eh). While waiting (I have to say not much) I stained my trousers with a chwing gum. At the end of all this I would have had to leave from there in 10 days for Japan. Not having it I understand a saw I left anyway and I took care of the luck that I am assured.
If you are not more than bad you DO NOT go. First Aid DIRTY on the edge of the third world.

after months with pain I finally found a trained surgeon who diagnosed me with sub-acute appendicitis and operated on me within a week. The operation took place in the lymphatic surgery department and was performed by dr. Francesco Boccardo whom I thank for the competence and humanity shown with a patient who, let's face it, had a fifty executioner. The whole department is very competent and willing to help patients.

I had my son born here. Very good experience with all the doctors and nurses. He was a pre-term so required extra care which was well provided by the hospital staff. They did all checkups regularly of both mother and son. We left happily with our baby after 12 days of care. They also call and schedule appointment for regular health checkups of my son. Both doctors and nurses are friendly, kind and ready to help if one has any doubts or questions.

Non EU citizens must go to the nearest police headquarter (Questura) and ask for information regarding the integration of the new born in the system as soon as possible. Get a passport for the new born and approach either CAF or ANOLF to understand on how to integrate the new born in the permit of stay of the mother. This will help the parents to avoid any future complications regarding the permit of stay of the child.

If it were possible to put even 0. After having operated my father two years ago, six months ago they called to do the second operation and we are still waiting. In the meantime, every week they call, saying to keep themselves free because we could be called and my father has lost a job and now he risks losing another one.

It is among the largest and most important hospitals in Genoa, it is a city within a city. But you can find yourself as good as the other way around. It depends on the department and the specialization.

It could be a good hospital (I'm talking about my old experience of having my first child over 5 years ago)
Most kind doctors
But now in September of 2020 even knowing that pregnant women cannot stay in long waits or sessions for too long
The nurses and practitioners (call them whatever you like) start converse and do things calmly as if there are no people waiting.
Then they talk about gathering here and there, when in the waiting room there will be those 40/50 minutes where it is quite full
But then they leave people outside (literally 2 meters from the waiting room) for more than 4/5 hours to wait ..
Where, of course, people take off and lower the mask as well ..
IS..
So the virus sees the door and decides not to enter?
Bad, it always goes from bad to worse with the passing years.

Yesterday 03/04 I went to Carrara for a specialist visit to the POLICLINICO San Martino, I found kindness education, availability, cleanliness Truly a HOSPITAL with worthy people. A special thanks to Professor Puppo Francesco and to a young doctor whose name I do not know. Kind, exhaustive, courteous. Were it so with us .... the only small problem, the parking lots! Sick little when health is at stake. Positive all the rest anyway.

A giant hospital with a doctor who seems to be motivated and prepared feels followed. The size of the polyclinic means that we can clash with some setbacks but often the ability and commitment of the whole person can compensate for the inconvenience

generally good hospital with good professionals.

generally good hospital with good professionals.
But if something happens to go wrong and you decide to resort to complaints, they are a joke.
sent 3 complaints from my family (one per member), copy and paste replies the same for all from the people (2 doctors) who received the complaint.
not even the decency to write everyone an answer.
As the responses were very scarce and liquidation, after hearing the complaints office by phone, we were left with the idea that there would be a meeting with the head of the public relations office. then there was the whole problem of the covid and therefore I understand that these practices have gone into the background.
but now the situation is much calmer, if they wanted these things they can also be organized in videocall.
ultimately: writing a complaint is a fairly long process, copies of documents are required, etc. and then it's all useless. don't waste time. They all seem to be available over the phone, but in practice it is not.
Our right to complain and their duty to respond TIMELY is a mockery.

All hospital staff are very kind and willing to help you and give you the correct information.

I find however:
- the signage of the whole complex is very poor.
-very poor internal parking management. There are many cars out of place, which means that access to the complex is granted even if the parking spaces are sold out inside.
- cars are left in critical areas (in front of warehouses for flammable materials)

Tips:

-Increase the internal signs
-Do not allow other cars to enter if the car parks are full
-create other parking space (a problem that afflicts the entire city of Genoa) within the complex.

With regard,
Roberto

What most leaves me speechless, but I have found this several times within health facilities, is the lack of humanity that distinguishes those who work there. As soon as you enter a ward, the first thing you think about is' who knows how they will treat me ... "
Bad experience, very few are those who keep a calm and polite attitude, or at least acceptable with patients.
All those who work in these structures who feel, for some obscure reason, superior, know that "from the top" of your position and your mean, rude and disrespectful attitudes, the only thing I realize is the little dignity with which you carry out your work. Compliments!
I contextualize my bad experience in the mammography department (speaking with a friend I had further confirmation) to you the conclusions.

The main hospital in Liguria, which summarizes the strengths and weaknesses of public health (for example certain long waiting times at the emergency room). In any case, the now historic pavilions - their construction began in 1914 - are immersed in a real park, also well maintained, an oasis of peaceful greenery in the middle of the city. After the Second World War, the statues of the benefactors of Pammatone were placed in the hospital area, the first hospital in the history of Genoa destroyed by bombing

My review is about eye clinic ... a tragedy ... there is no way they give I don't know how many appointments all together and then wait for 3 hours or more to have an injection in the eye ... and if you ask for explanations no one says anything nobody knows anything ... I don't understand why ... among other things we talk about people who are mostly elderly ... but who cares ... they wait ... we don't know why, but I repeat who if it matters ...
And I write after 4 times that he accompanied my mom and it is always the same sad and shameful story ...

On 20 November 2019 due to an accident at work I take my husband to the PS where in 3 hours he was: visited, made an X-ray, a CT scan, plastered and invited to return the next day for the pre-operative exams.
The next morning the same doctor who had seen us at the PS Dr. Angelo Andretta was waiting for us, as you hear, certainly not of the intervention for the fracture of the radial capital, also considering the size of my ex basketball player husband, consulting with his principal Professor Santolini, they agreed to wait another week to see how the fracture would have behaved.
We just have to thank Dr. Andretta for his competence and professionalism and also that touch of humility in not deciding immediately, in fact the surgery was not necessary, my husband is doing his physiotherapy course with excellent results.
What to add .... well in a world where we speak almost only of bad health we thank Dr. Angelo Andretta and all the nurses who assisted and treated my husband.

I ask you how it is possible that you did not see that the person who came to the emergency room after a feigned fight had nothing. Try that the next day there was a nice, cheerful and lively drive from Genoa to Naples posting photos and videos! It amazes me how a hospital like yours could have given three days of prognosis to a "lady" who was pretending. Thank you, congratulations! Thanks to you, he was able to request damages, I add, non-existent. I have compensated one who has clearly been defrauded. All it took was a slab or extensive exams and unmasked them, instead of believing the first clever one that arrives and says I have bad here without thinking about the consequences.

Later I was hospitalized in OBI (short intensive observation) in a single room with its own very spacious and comfortable bathroom. Infermierj nocturnal and not, very helpful and skilled in medications and very professional. The doctors in the OBI department are also very kind and very helpful for any complication.

We had the misfortune of spending many months at t...

We had the misfortune of spending many months at the San Martino hospital in Genoa where our dad was hospitalized: endless days of anxiety, fear and impotence in the face of an illness that we knew didn't give a chance to the man who most counted in the our life.
Hard months, during which, however, we had the good fortune to meet wonderful people: just think of how much of their life they spend serving others, taking them away from themselves and their families and the responsibility they have in making decisions that can change people's lives, yet never a badly spoken word, never a rudeness, always on the piece.
"When you cure a disease, you can win or lose, but when you take care of a person, you always win."
Well, Dr. Filippo Ballerini (hematology) and doctor Anna Da Col (internal medicine, monobloc V piano levante) have won!
We will never forget how much they did for our dad cuddling him as if he were theirs. Always able to cheer him up with their daily extras: a few minutes for them, so much happiness for him, and for us.

The only painful encounter occurred just after Dad passed away: we called Brother Mauro to give him the last rites, but when he arrived he accused us harshly of having interrupted his lunch break showing no mercy towards our loss .

As usual, the nurses and the OSS took care of it that morning to warm our hearts with their words of comfort, their hugs and their shining eyes.
We therefore thank the whole department of internal medicine for the professionalism, availability and great heart: your work is priceless, you are a winning team, you have all our respect and respect for what you do daily.

We wish everyone to be treated and looked after by extraordinary people as happened to our dad.

h 10.00 we entered at 13 !!!!! It was probably bridge day .... but didn't they know when arranging reservations that the staff was undersized?
The lady at the reception was very kind to everyone, she entertained three children present with coloring pages and candies, Dr. Marco Messina was exquisite and despite one morning I think it was difficult for him too, he was welcoming, kind and very scrupulous as if my mother had been the first patient of the morning. I think that this way of treating people who are helpless as sick is extremely uncivilized; fortunately, as often happens in our country, there are people who do their job well and make up for the shortcomings of others.
