Wow!! Chelsye, Monica and Amy are an absolute dream team! I could not have asked for better planners than Intrigue Design and Events. Planning my wedding in a short amount of time was so stressful for me, but these ladies made it seem like it was a piece of cake. They took so much off my plate, I would not have survived without them. Our day was an absolute dream! Everything was insanely beautiful and went off without a hitch. It's all because of these ladies! Thank you so much to Intrigue!!!

My husband and I never thought we would need wedding planners until we began planning our wedding. It was a delight to meet Chelsye and see a light at the end of the tunnel (in regards to our family, budget and decor planning). I knew we would get along right away and my stress was instantly relieved. She is an amazing planner, multi-tasker and people person. We had a wonderful, beautiful wedding. We made a point to hire vendors that have worked together before to make things smoother for everyone. When we originally met with Chelsye and hired her we had no idea that we would be working with her assistant Mia as our main contact. Chelsye did intervene when I had concerns and directly contacted her. I believe she is an amazing coordinator and if we had dealt directly with her regarding our vendor contracts, details, and payments, there would be less confusion. Our wedding officiant was not thrilled with the communication between them. Our wedding was lovely and wonderful. I still am grateful for all that was done, all the extra help Chelsye did for us because of our small budget.
At the ceremony some of the close friends, ushers and immediate family members (including the mother and grandparents of the bride) were confused at arrival of the ceremony because there was no direction, no communication, no announcements from the wedding planners the day of our wedding. We had gone over and over a timeline of photos that were to be taken before the ceremony with family and none of these required photos were taken. I have not understood why or when this communication problem between the planners and the photographer occurred, because the list was submitted to the wedding planners when they requested it. At rehearsal with our officiant , the grandparents were not included, the ushers were not told what to do, how to line up, when to walk guests etc.. When guests were being seated they were getting their group photos done. I wish I did more research on wedding planners and their services but overall I am still grateful for all of Chelsye's guidance- she went above and beyond.

Let me start off by saying I was not one of those girls who had their wedding planned since I was 5 - in fact, I had absolutely no clue what I wanted! The one thing my husband and I both knew we wanted for our wedding was for it to be in Charleston. Living in the Northern Virginia area, we had no expertise in finding vendors in Charleston and knew we would need to hire a planner to help us out.

After an introductory phone call with Chelsye, we knew we wanted to hire her - she was so sweet, bubbly, and knowledgeable. Once we got into the planning process, we knew we had made the right choice. After showing Chelsye a few inspiration photos, she came up with a gorgeous design that exceeded our expectations. The design reflected our personalities and our guests couldn't stop complimenting our reception space! Chelsye also provided recommendations for vendors for music, transportation, and makeup and we loved every single one!

Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not easy, but Chelsye remained optimistic and upbeat. She was flexible in working with our venue to accommodate their changes and presented us with ideas that wouldn't take away from the wedding experience. The wedding may have been much smaller than we intended, but the design was perfect! Our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to the efforts of Chelsye and the Intrigue team! I cannot recommend them enough!

Chelsye was Amazing to work with, she has very elegant taste and outlooks for weddings along with a great stock of Venues, rental companies, DJs, car rental companies, EVERYTHING!! everytime I needed to speak with her she got back to me Extremely quick, as well as her assistants were very helpful and kind. My wedding was absolutely stunning for being in our price range and I would not change a single thing about that day. We had such an amazing experience working with Intrigue Design. Amy and Chelsye are such amazing and talented women. We are not from South Carolina so we needed a lot of direction from them, which we got with no issues! They absolutely exceeded our expectations and made planning our wedding feel easy and organized. The week leading up to our wedding they made sure that everything was taken care of and all plans were finalized. The day of went flawless. We did not have to worry about anything and they made sure everyone was where they needed to be. Along with their ability to coordinate they made our wedding vision come true. They had amazing suggestions on vendors and helped us bring everything to fruition. They know what looks good and they make sure that everything we wanted worked with the overall design.
With out them, we would have never been able to achieve such an amazing day and experience for us and our guests.

Chelsye and Intrigue were absolute life savers for our wedding. Due to Covid we had to change a lot of things around and there was a lot of stress. Chelsye made sure everything was perfect leading up to and on the day. I don't know what we would have done without her! If you are deciding whether or not to have someone help you with the entire wedding or just the details and day of I cannot suggest Chelsye and Intrigue enough. Set aside part of your budget for this amazing service and you will absolutely not regret it!
