I refused permanent assignment to the Lisle Hearing Help Express (subsidiary company), due to racism in the workplace and unfair treatment. Management change up much needed as IntriCon is affiliated with this mess at HHE. I was one of their top sellers and within my first week there I experienced flat out racism by a male Caucasian lead and two other co-workers. When I brought this to the attention of Upper Management they decided to brush it under the rug by making up a bogus reason relating to training then letting me go. Another contradiction of working here is that not only is racism, cursing, swearing and chewing tobacco allowed...but you can't wear a decent pair of jeans on Fridays.

Been with Intricon for 4 years now. I enjoy the work culture here, you're more than just another nameless employee. Overall, pretty friendly atmosphere and growth within the company is possible if you're willing to work towards it.
