I've lived in Asheville my entire life, and I'm now 20 years old. Ingles on tunnel has always had the best and sweetest employees out of any of the ingles in Asheville or Leicester. Any time I go in people are always smiling and asking you how your day is. And they're always willing to help. The last time my mother and I went to the meat department, Taylor Detlaff was the most considerate and patient employee we've dealt with. He helped us immediately.

Only real grocery store in the area so theres nothing really to compare it to

It is a fine grocery store but sometimes the people working the sandwich making place act like they have never eaten a sandwich before and do dumb stuff like try Nd put mayonaise on the meat and cheese instead of the bread.

I like visiting this particular Ingles when I stop for gas at the Ingles gas station. It is always very clean and well-stocked and like other Ingles locations in this area features the u-scan self checkout machines that help you get in and out of their unscathed, even during peak hours. My only complaint is that the parking lot can be a bit treacherous to get out of if you don't use the stop light, which itself can take a long time to change.

Quick, convenient, had everything I was looking for. Nice checkout staff.

It's like a Fresh Market and Publix combined...large inventory of food. Wish we had one in Florida.

Well stocked but overpriced compared to trader Joe's

We were here on vacation and looking at the produce. My son asked me about some shell pod bean looking thing and I didn't know. A very nice man working in the department told us what it was. Tamarind. He was very kind to my son and I and even showed us what the inside looked like and explained what it's used for. We appreciated the time and effort that this associate took.

Their Western Union has a tiny amount that can be received. Pathetic. A grocery store in Texas allows at least quadruple what this one does. Extremely dissatisfied.

Starbucks made my coffee perfect. This store is clean and well lite. Well stocked

Very expensive but they do have quality items and a food buffet and a star bucks coffe center

Prices are very high in this grocery store. Maybe because it is in a high tourist area. Excellent choices in subs and deli items.

Love this Ingles but WHAT is up with the cashiers/baggers you hire here? Every time we're here we hear nothing but workers complaining about their job or wanting a break or just generally acting odd. Also cashiers never greet you. Missing basic customer service skills. You guys need to step it up in the training department.

Very clean and well-stocked store. Nice friendly checkout staff but unfriendly Cash manager was rude when I asked for change at the service counter. The fact I had purchased a cartload of groceries meant nothing to her. All I asked was that she change a couple $20 bills.

I was excited to try their new hot bar that offered fried tofu with veggie lo mein.When I got home and started to eat I realized that what was supposed to be tofu was actually chicken.I've been vegetarian for 10 years.Thanks Ingles for making me eat meat.I should have known better than to get anything claiming to be tofu(vegetarian) from your deli.Never again!

They are friendly, and offer a great selection, though they don't have as good a variety of fish.

Great, clean, and always stocked. The prices are a little high at times, but some of there sales prices make up for it.

It's a grocery store. They have a good selection of mid-grade offerings.

Be careful shopping here. They've put "boots" on all of the shopping carts. Cart will stop unexpectedly and abruptly if you try to leave the store with the cart to go out to your car with the groceries you have just bought. Almost made me fall.

Tunnel rd is very good, manager and staff are so friendly.

Best grocery store, I have ever been in. Wish I lived in western North Carolina, I wouldn't shop anywhere else. If you ever see an Ingles, stop and go in, you will be impressed.

The store chains is good and collection of items good. Staff at the deli is good, but the check out counter staff was incompetent. Watching videos on phone and seems disinterested in work.

Best of the Ingles stores in Asheville. east access on/off I-240 ample parking. especially like the veggie and beer selections.

With tough competition from Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Earth Faire nearby, the local corporation, Ingles, is definitely holding their own with many loyal customers.

Horrible experience with same cashier everytime. She look very miserable with her job, never smile say hello or thank you. Love shopping at publix, everyone is so friendly.

Saw no management! Only 1cashier. Saw No bag boys. Wife bagged our own Groceries. Poorly managed ! Understaffed! Customer behind us said every time he came in to this store that it is Always like this. SAD!

The deli department makes an excellent sandwich. Great salad bar. Rotisserie chicken is too salty (FYI Publix makes the best).

Nice store, high prices, other then Wal-Mart the only option

This review is specifically about the deli food and staff and nothing against the store as a whole.

I had some downtime to eat for once but not much. I came into the deli thinking it would be quick easy good food. I was wrong in every way. I went for the seasame chicken with veggi lo mein. Every staff member was walking around gossiping and ignoring the customers so it took awhile to get served. The portion size was incredible for the price but the chicken was over cooked, the lo mein was the greasiest lo mein I ve ever had and the broccoli and mushrooms in it had turned long before it was even made into the noodles. The nastiest part? I asked for yum yum sauce and the girl serving me pulled out a gallon container that HAD NO LID and dumped it in a side dish. Most staff members with long hair had no hair net on. I m fairly certain I m going to have food poisoning within the next couple hours. I highly recommend against this deli until it is staffed with people that care about their jobs and other people s health.

An older grocery store that feels rather crowded due to very narrow isles. Excellent pharmacy inside the store. Deli is average at best. You couldn't ask for more friendly and helpful employees.

As much money as ingles brings in you would think they would have a better checkout system

The Pharmacy is the best in Asheville NC. I know this I have tried a few, several others. Ingles Pharmacists are smart and help you get your scripts correctly and makes sure insurance pays for your Med. Ingles is clean, food is fresh, and I can walk there if I want to. It's close to me.

Excellent store with a large selection of normal items but also delicacies that you normally would find in a more expensive store. The personnel is always prompt . Large selection of wines domestic and international at very competitive prices.
