The manager has a terrible attitude which is not suited to the care industry, the health, comfort and hygiene of the residents does not come high in her list of priorities, the care staff are treated like second class citizens which is reflected in the high turnover of staff at ingham house, not a place i would send my vulnerable loved ones.
Do not work for these people if you want to be treated unfairly
This is a lovely rest home dedicated to caring for Eastbourne's elderly residents. The staff are professional yet friendly and thoughtful. It is an old building with lots of character. It bost's well maintained gardens that are easily accessible to the residents. It also has a small but adiquet lift in addition to the popular stairlift.

Ingham House is a Loving and Caring place for your nearest and dearest who you are ready to be cared for. The care staff are simply amazing and will do anything they can to help and ensue the residents are comfortable, clean and cared for. The manager put their best interests first for both residents and staff and makes sure that everyone is happy. Its a nice friendly and welcoming environment with a family touch. All the staff are willing to go above and beyond to make sure that the residents come first. They have an Amazing programme with a lot of outings, singers or shows. Definitely would recommend you to put Ingham house at the top of the list.

Ingham house is the best care home that I have ever worked in .Every resident is treated like a member of the family by the management and staff ,they receive excellent personal care from the highly trained and dedicated care staff, fabulous home cooked meals from the talented kitchen staff ,their clothing, rooms and surroundings are kept spotless by a hardworking cleaning and laundry staff which includes me and the residents take part in many activities and day trips too thanks to a marvelous team of activities organisers and volunteers.
There is a wonderful atmosphere and it's such a fun place to work .Its also great to know that the management are there for me if I need them .
Ingham House is a care home that could have a lot more potential if was managed properly. The current manager does not show any empathy towards either the staff or residents at Ingham House which causes a constant turnover of staff and of course has a nock on effect to the residents who are priority.
