Horrible and very unprofessional. I took my infant for dehydration and we were there for hours and still no doctor. I asked the front desk how long before we can see a doctor she said she wasn t sure but they have emergencies. Ummm hello why do you think I m here? To waste my time. She said the stupidest thing I have ever heard. My daughter was born there but I won t be going there anymore for emergencies.

This place has really gone down! My mother was in there a not properly seen by staff. They let her sit in her urine for long periods of time and they hire unqualified staff who have no compassion. The place is dirty and most of the staff act like they're doing you a favor just doing their jobs.
This hospital is the worst ever the staff omg let start with security, nasty and disrespectful, intake was nice, doctor lied, nurse was nice and the time u wait is unbelievable between 7&9 hours, the emergency room was nasty and unsanitary the floors, bathroom, chairs and omg I've never seen the front steps look so filthy. NOTAGOODPLACEFORHEALTHCARR!!!
I wish 0 stars was an option. Very, very unprofessional. I was on hold for over 20 mins just to speak to a social worker. Then I called back and no one is answering the phone and I got disconnected. So I can imagine how they would treat patients. If the person is not available just simply take a message!!
With UofC being one of the top schools in the country, I would think evey extension of the school would provide exemplary service - even the hospitals in their network. What I experienced today was void of customer focus. I went to the emergency room at 11pm, left at 3am without being settled in a room. I understand the wait but I do not understand the staff not giving us updates. During the time I was there, not one patient was called to occupy a bed. With that long wait time, I think it would be courteous to inform waiting patients of what's going on. Besides that, the waiting room was disgusting; floors were filthy and seats had spots - during this covid uproar, I would think more attention would have been taken. I had an employee wipe down my chair. I asked if anyone can make the waiting room semi-presentable, she said she'll see. No one came to care for the space. Also, there were 2 fights within that little time period. Administrative control of the space was limited. Although this hospital is in an impoverished area, customer service should be the main focus no matter what. Thank you.
The Mammography Department administration would get zero stars if available. Apparently there is only one person, Stephanie, that can make appointments and you will never get her. I m guessing she must let all calls go to voicemail then returns them at a later date. I have tried to call 8 times today and I get voicemail every time. I then tried making my appointment through central scheduling but they transferred back to Stephanie s voicemail again! Get this girl some help please!!!
Really messed up billing Not part of University of Chicago System as far as insurance is concerned, so not in network. Not part of MyChart, impossible to see account, payments or charges. Physicians at the hospital are part of a different network, I was told nothing is covered, later got a bill saying insurance paid 1/3, but I already paid entire bill, but now they would like for me to pay again. Two mammograms have cost me several thousand dollars and counting.
I am a diabetic patient, this is my third day in ingles memorial hospital.I had to have a stress test for my heart.they got me at 7:30.after the first test I was able to eat half of a sandwich, I thought that when I get back to the room my breakfast will be ready but it wasn't. So I waited for my lunch it never came either. I requested it several times so did my nurse but it never came .So now I'm sitting here starving haven't had anything to eat except half of a sandwich. Haven't had a balanced meal since 5:00 p.m. the day before, what's funny is The dietitian came in to tell me that I shouldn't Miss meals.
Ingalls Memorial had 1 doctor to manage entire ER - time from arrival by ambulance 9 am until notification of intent to admit 3 pm.. The staffing hierarchy prioritizes [cost to run an ER] rather than [patient's medical care with minimum time in ER]. Spent time in numerous ER throughout Chicagoland area. This ER was the worst run ER most likely due to budget restraints NOT due to medically skilled employees. The In-patient hospital stay was an extreme disappointment. Patient Care is not the priority.
