Had a visa interview couple of weeks ago with my family. Must say infrastructure is top of the notch.
Staff politeness is up to the mark.
But visa issuance..... very strict background checking.
Its a little America in Islamabad.
We have full trust on us embassy and the consulate. We are proud to a USA resident.
I had an interview 2 weeks ago went there staff was cooperative but the counsellor who was taking interview he was slim tall young guy .
He was so unmannered so rude & his behaviour was so insulting.
I have spent 5 yers in uk i went to uk on study visa he asked my why you couldn't finished your studies there and refused my visa application . he just asked me 2 questions WHY YOU ARE GOING TO USA and HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO ANY OTHER COUNTRY .he didn,t check any of my business documents etc
well I booked my interview again after 2 weeks of refusal i went there for interview again this time counsellor was so nice and professional.he gave me proper time to express mysef i gave him all documents like my national tax no my business contract my shop tenency agreement bank statements,utility bills.im a business man i had all documents . he said i wish i could give you visa but right now us embassey is really strict about visa issue because the other counseller have refused your visa so im sorry i ca,nt give you a visa.
So i must say thats most unfair situation thy are just making money
If you are not allowed to issue a visa to a person who already being declined then why the hell you are accepting their applications and tryn to make money. so if any of responsible person from us embassy read my comment so thats my humble suggestion to you that dn,t accept applications twice.because im 100% sure that you guys would,nt issue a visa to a person who already being declined so please dn,t try to make money,i have been to uk spent 5 years there i must say uk is best all departments and so nice and helpful,even if you are illegal immigrant they will treat you with recpect and dignity. so please send your all staff to uk embassy for training .and please ask them to show some manners and respect toward customers.

The Pakistani staff inside the embassy is so rude and unprofessional. The guys right outside, before you enter the main building of the embassy trying to rip you off for money. I am very disappointed in these people!

HEAVES OF RUBBISH IN MY CITY AND EVERY WHERE I MOVE OR HAVE TO MOVE BUT WHEN I SAW US EMBASSY ISLAMABAD IT WAS A PIECE OF LAND WORTH SEEING UNDER US CONTROL AND HAD IT BEEN UNDER THE CONTROL OF MY CITY MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY IT MUST HAVE BEEN A PIECE OF LAND LIKE OTHER WE HAVE LIKE DIRTY SPOTS.

I recently visited the US Embassy in diplomatic enclave. They have moved their embassy to a brand new building, which is really astonishing. Once you enter the building, you won't feel you are in Pakistan. Lobby area and restrooms were spotless clean. The staff and counselor were all very helpful.

The Odds of a Pakistani Christian getting a Visa from this Embassy is SOOO LOW that your Better-Off playing the Lottery. You can have Faith the Lottery will not discriminate.
It is always pleasant meeting Americans at their Embassy. They often invite the students of The Quaid-i-Azam University for meetings and movies. I have visited this embassy thrice and I found them very professional and friendly. They are very helpful for the visitors. I loved their kitchen the most. A state of the art building. Overall it is always a good experience to visit them.
Only use the murree road if you're going via shuttle service. It's very near to murree road route.
I went via Islamabad n had to reroute again after confusion.
Try being there atleast an hour early.
I had worst experience of my life. Counselors dealing with immigrant visas are only knowlegable about family based visas. If you are on employment based visa, he/she will simply put you on administrative process for unlimited amount of time. It does not matter that you donot have any criminal background or all your documents are correct. Since he/she is not used to of handling cases other than family based visas, instead of referring your case to someone who has knowledge about your case, they will just put you on administrative process.Instead of wasting other's time, they should decline visa on spot. Waiting time is really devastating and painful .

I am an Australian my boyfriend just had a interview at the embassy and was refused no excuse given .very disappointed with the embassy.i have now cancelled our bookings.

US officials were great. Skinny Pakistani guy collecting ds160 forms and attaching them with passports was rude and unprofessional.
