I had no good experience in the Indira Gandhi Planetarium. I saw the show with my child on 04 january2019, in this show only the information was given by showing the photos of the planets related to science. In this show, the children did not like the other viewers along with the other, if the video of this show Through the information of the planets is given. So the children also grew eagerly towards science and the curiosity and interest increased to other viewers too.In the star board show of Patala, information about science and planetary information is provided through video with digital music.

While on a family vacation in Lucknow it becomes must to visit the famous Indira Gandhi Planetarium, especially for your munchkins. This kid-friendly tourist attraction in Lucknow proffers some useful knowledge about a different aspect of astronomy through the exhibition, quit and various interesting shows. Located on the banks of Gomti River, the planetarium has a Saturn shape building that is an architectural pleasure in itself. The foundation of this one of the most-visited places in Lucknow was laid in the year 1988. Digital sound, lift ramp and projecting system makes Indira Gandhi Planetarium an altogether a different tourist site in Lucknow. Keeping the comfort of tourists into mind,

Thanks..

This is very ordinary place. The show is worst . ruined my 2 hrs here. Projector is not in proper working condition. Audio sound is much boring. Couldn't had wasted my time before like this. visit at your own risk. Nothing special to watch in gallery which is on ground floor. The only special thing here is the building of this auditorium.

Visited Sep2018- This was setup in 1980s and seems to have stood still since then. Although the show is informative, but you don't feel the pulse of science and fascination of astronomy here. The crowd also lets u down, crowded and dusty noisy street. No wonder it has few visitors now. Better visit the regional science centre in aliganj nicely maintained

The show was fine

The show was fine
It should be updated
One more thing i want to add
Police there don't let people go inside the picture gallery untill the show going to start
In my case they let me enter at 3:50 while my show timing was 4:00
As i am a student In ten minutes how i can scan the whole picture gallery and understand the nuances of the astronomy
Hope administration will take cognizance of it.

A visit to the Indira Gandhi Planetarium must be on your list of things to do in Lucknow, especially if you are a science enthusiast or traveling with your kids. The planetarium is designed in such a way that it resembles the planet Saturn, which makes it different from all other planetariums in the country. With its high-tech projection system and daily screenings that reveal the wonders of the universe, it is a great place to spend a day learning a thing or two about celestial bodies.
