This place was very nicely decorated and very appealing, but the person at th front desk wasn t very helpful. There was a huge amount of varieties of food and drinks which were fit for bothered vegetarians and non-vegetarian. The appetizers and main foods were great, but the desserts weren t as good. The Gulab Jamoon wasn t very cooked in the one we ate.

Food: Great...lots of variety...veg and non veg delights. Best thing is that lots of options for vegetarians.
Drinks: along with a soda machine, they have mango lassi, sweet lassi, badam milk and buttermilk which is very cool. Was really amazed to see this expansive drink options.
Ambience: Good. Very niche and have a separate space as party rooms for celebrations.
Space and location: the restaurant is big and is conveniently located in irving on 635 highway.
Service: Awesome. Plates were abundant. Any request was promptly answered. Very nice staff.
Price: Bad. Very expensive. They can justify ofcourse given the choices they give. But as a customer you will find it hard to justify. 95% customers will never be able to eat so much.
Another low point is they charge half price for kids starting 4 years old. That is something I cannot comprehend. Kids don't eat much. Period. Now if you want to capitalize on that it is a problem.

The ambience of the restaurant is really nice. They had a lot of different kind of food which I liked. They have chefs standing right behind the buffet counter for a few things that tastes better when consumed right after it s cooked like Bhatura and Noodles. I found the place a bit expensive but would definitely go back whenever I am in Dallas.
Quality of food has drastically deteriorated. It caused us food poisoning because they served stale food.
It was really good when it started but I would say it's okay these days. Lot of options in the buffet. If you're looking for a lot of variety in the buffet like Idly, Dosa, Rice, Roti, Noodles, Manchurian, Pizza, Salad, Chats, Dessert and haven't visited in a while then you can definitely give it a try.
Buffett, good food, good selection, more expensive than other places, but I suppose it is worth it. I knocked off a star because I stood by the 'Pease wait to be seated' sign for a long time, but no one ever came! I was really hungry, so I just helped myself and grabbed my own table ! Problem solved!
A great variety of Indian dishes, all seemed fresh and tasted good. The atmosphere is visually swanky, while still being casual. Service is good. There was a good amount of people of Indian decent eating there, which should speak to the authenticity of the food.

I was regular customer to the India 101 but after the horrible experience will not recommend it anymore. Not good service for pickup order , had to wait 1 hour after the pickup time also the items were missing . Worst service . Ruined the party due to negligence of the staff for the order and did not ever accept the negligence.
Not worth the hype given . It was full of North Indian items in buffet and some Chinese . Not worth the money as well.

Very large buffet for all south Asian in Irving. From Chaat, North Indian , South indian, Indo Chinese, sweets, salad bar, Tea, Coffee, sweet and mango lassi to choose from. Enjoyed very much and they can accommodate large group of people with out any wait time.
Good ambience. Food quality was good. They do provide more varieties(PaniPuri/Chat Section) than any other Indian restaurant in Dallas area. Bit costly($20 approx) considering other indian restaurant buffets($12/15 approx). They should add more dry veg starter options(paneer/mashroom/dry manchurian, they were not there when we visited)

Noticed most the people eating were.. Probably great judges of Indian food. Fantastic sign. The place is beautiful on entry. They have smaller tables in the front and larger ones in the back for groups. I believe they have a banquet hall upstairs also. The buffet is phenomenal, lots of options. Lots of breads. Desserts piled high. Drinks. Chicken. Salad. Curries. Etc etc etc. Fantastic food quality and flavor. No shortage of anything. Probably the best Indian restaurant in Irving, Fort Worth, possibly the US. Definitely the largest.

Generally, I don t give bad reviews but we had a horrible experience with India101. I want to give my feedback so that someone might think twice before they order. We ordered a Veg Biryani, Veg Hakka Noodles and Rasmalai for TOGO. Veg Biryani was full of potatoes on the name of veggies. Literally, it was a rice and potato mixture. I always thought veg biryani contains different veggies and not just potatoes. Secondly, about the Veg Hakka Noodles. Like Veg Biryani was full of potatoes, Hakka Noodles was mostly full of bell pepper. At least, it was better in taste than Veg Biryani. Lastly, the Rasmalai. I can just recommend to not to have Rasmalai from India101. You will regret it. I hope they take this review positively and improve their dishes.
I came to visit Dallas from Miami/FL. Its hard to find fresh tandoori roti in Miami. I enjoyed fresh naan with kerhai and bhindi. Bhindi was too good.
We held our engagement reception at India 101 this past weekend and everything went so perfect! The staff here is genuinely kind and are so helpful. We got so many compliments from our guests that the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend India 101 if you are looking for a place to host your next event!
Awesome food and wide range of varieties. Something for everyone. Little bit pricey ($14.99) for a buffet compared to other restaurant but it is worth when you look at variety of food they offer.

Oh, I love this place. During my job in Dallas, I went there at least once per week. It's definitely a favorite for the local Indian crowd. I loved the food. This was top-notch buffet for $16.

Their food doesn't live up to the hype. The Flavor is runned down. but I will admit that their Tandoori is very good it has plenty of flavors. They do have a very varied selection for all type of taste. The price is a little overpriced. When we went there were very long lines that they had on the weekends and were only open for a limited time. overall a good place to go but I would go maybe 2 years later.

The food is awesome and Tastes amazing. There are a ton of different options for food and the buffet is packed with lots of items. Theres options for kids here as well as adults with a sophisticated flavor palette. There is plenty of seating for families as well as large parties, and reservations are very easy to make.
All the food is freshly made and on the day I went, There was all the normal food as well as an uttar Pradesh area of food. There was also an area for chat and pani puri area. Sweets were also there and they had a wide assortment of drinks. Pricing is medium to somewhat expensive but it's worth every cent. All in all a great place
Pretty average Indian food buffet. You can try it out..but I did not find the food worth returning to.
Great ambience with decent food. The curries are pretty flavorful for the most part but lack some well needed zest. Some of them are interchangeable and need some variety. The chaat bar is pretty average with a need for better quality ingredients. Desserts are not bad either. Would give the food a 3 star rating but the ambience and service a 5 star rating, which leads to the compromised score of 4/5 between the two.
I've been here twice now and have not been disappointed. Large selection of great food (for both vegetarian and carnivore alike), nice atmosphere, their drinks are included in the buffet and they even included Mango Lassi on the buffet--unlimited!!!
Don't go here on a diet, you'll immediately fail
This place is aptly named both for the selection (101 choices-or at least a lot) and it's a great introductory course in Indian food with all the choices.

Very expensive, 1 Biriyani was almost $16 with tax, Rice is undercooked, almost felt eating uncooked rice.
The place is huge. Looks pretty new. The atmosphere is inviting. The selection is huge for the lunch buffet including Mango Lassi that most places tend to charge as an extra. The food was not bad. I have had better and they might be suffering from having to churn out such high volumes. Worth a try.
