I found the beautiful solar tower illuminated in the evening, but the whole place is very suggestive and worth a visit. The view over Rome and the Castles is unique.

Known, if only because it is the only observatory in Rome. Well equipped.

The place is located in Monte Mario and is truly fascinating because it dominates the whole city from here. I went to the Observatory for the "Monte Mario, upturned" event, the people who worked there were very good at explaining and available.

The location is, kept quite well, surrounded by greenery and in addition to the Moon and the stars from here you can enjoy a wonderful view over all of Rome. More funding would be needed to organize more events to bring people closer together and improve local maintenance.

The place deserves and I advise you not to miss the upcoming events.

We only passed this place as it was closed. In the meantime, from INAF just a bit of a walk towards the viewpoint!

Mount Mario, has a great view over the city of Rome, it is a national park, topped by the observatory, there is a platform where you can see the whole city, the stairs and the fence is not so good, so if you goes be careful at the edge, (very steep) few people encountered, in total 4, so even though the son is nice place, it is very quiet, worth it if you like views and nature, due to the steep stairs and large rough stones will be difficult for wheelchairs. I am glad that I have been, definitely worth it, halfway in a Vila we could get a snack from a device, and ff to the toilet, a special and quiet place

You cannot enter. I believe it is the seat of INAF as a conference room

I was able to see the Roman Observatory northward from the Vatican Museums.

With your nose up, beautiful but badly organized initiative. Of a frightening mediocrity. 2 telescopes only. The almost non-existent naturalistic part.

Great experience, fun and interesting evenings, I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a different evening, I will definitely go back there

The view is spectacular only that it is all abandoned and neglected, the location restaurant bar that offered the opportunity to sit comfortably drinking something cool, have been closed since March too bad it's all left to go.

The Astfonomic Observatory on Monte Mario inspires you and you are convinced that this is where the path to the stars begins.

Last night, on the occasion of the event "Between lights and stars", from enthusiasts to the world of astronomy, we decided to participate in the observing evening.
Unfortunately we were not even able to enter the observatory as the last stretch of road (very narrow) was flooded with cars parked on one side and others trapped as they climbed. A paradoxical situation! Moreover, there was not even a traffic officer who regulated the roads.
We specify that our only star is not an assessment of the structure or of the event (as it is impossible to enter) but rather, to say the least, very bad organization.

Endless row at the entrance and then two other interminable rows to look inside two telescopes when it would have been much easier to project the images to show them to everyone at the same time.

Three hours straight to rest an eye on the telescope and see practically nothing
