ImprovNet was great in getting my a contact for my tree removal service however I was unhappy with the job that Bark Tree Service provided. The trees were removed as promised but when it came to finishing the job by completing the clean-up they never returned to complete the job as promised. I paid them and they promised to come back the next day and clean-up my yard and blow tree shavings off the grass but they never returned to complete the job. I sent a text messages the next day asking when they are coming and got a reply that it is raining and they would be back on Monday. I sent another text message on Monday afternoon asking when they are coming to finish the clean-up work and they never replied. This is very disappointing as I am left to carry branches and clean up my yard when I already paid them to do it. Lesson Learned. Do not pay for the job until all work is completed. Thanks!

I was very specific for the project for which I was seeking estimates for. The vendor who called had no idea what type of work I was looking for and didn't offer the service I sought. Don't use - just call directly!

1. One company sent me an email advising that a representative would be contacting me soon to schedule an appointment. No one ever called. 2. One company actually called me and scheduled an appointment to meet with me at my home the following day. No one ever showed up or even bothered to contacted me. 3. One company actually sent a representative to my house to assess my renovation needs and desires. The representative arrived at my house, made some sketches, and advised that he would contact me soon. It has been almost two weeks now, and I still haven't heard back from him. Is ImproveNet any worse than Angie's List? Is that even possible? You have read the facts. Now you be the judge. Why did I give ImproveNet 1 star? I like the name. Also, the ImproveNet customer representative with whom I later spoke seemed friendly. Oh, did I mention that I live in Miami, FL?

Got one star because no stars isn't an option. Would never use this service again. Both companies they referred were bait and switch. They were given all my specifications, and quoted me a price. When I asked if the units matched the specifications I had requested, the price went up $100 each.

Got my succulents today and they're lovely and in great condition! Can't wait to get them potted. I know they need sun but just need to figure out how they'll handle the texas heat outdoors. I have some shade but not a whole lot. We'll figure it out!

I'm always bissy doing many DIY jobs that I don't always know how to tackle. Improvenet come into there own going into great detail of how anybody can understand how you can do it without any previous knowledge. Works for me every time. Your call.

I never signed up for any service as I don't own a home. I have been bombarded with calls from service providers. Remove my information from your "project" and stop giving out to vendors immediately.

I had a bad experience with another painting company and needed someone to complete my painting project. So glad for Gary Shields and his team at A Action Drywall Remodeling and Restoration. My home looks amazing because this company did an outstanding job. Extremely reliable and highly recommend.

Super fast response! No sooner had I entered my request and info on the website, I received a call from ImproveNet. The agent was polite and responsive to my needs. Connected me to the electrician in my area. I am meeting with the electrician tomorrow. I was leery of this process and wasn't certain if that'd be a cost involved for using their service. The agent assured me there wasn't. Im not sure what will come with the electrician I was connected to and if he will provide a fair estimate and do a good job. But Im pleased with the response of ImproveNet.

No one return any request! This was a waste of time

You sent me a bunch of contractors who were expecting to fix a dryer. I do not have a dryer that needs repair! I asked for a plumber who could install a water line to my refrigerator. That's not what they do and they all declined.

I live in an apartment and never signed up for anything. Now I'm getting 500 emails and phone calls from what ever this is. They buy people's info and scam them. STAY AWAY...

Just asked for a screen door pro in San Diego. California and you are sending recommendations from Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is not a good way to begin.

they don't do concrete business, they just sell your info, and get calls from companies that offer you other things that you are not looking for

The ad promised that by filling out a quick questionnaire I would get up to four free estimates. At the end of the not short questionnaire, I got a promise that three professionals would call me. No estimates. Misleading. Avoid.

Thank you Home advisor for connecting me with Shane owner/operator from Total Site. My family and I had a lot of difficulty finding a service provider to fit our specific job needs. The two men of this company were forthright, punctual, proficient, organized and took respectful pride in their work. They even came back two days later to make sure I was satisfied and even helped make sure my work order and invoice were done correctly so I was able to get back the up front out of pocket cost from my insurance provider. I know if you want your job done right and take respectful pride in what s yours than let the professional at total site . Your property deserves a foundation solid enough to withstand any storm. I recommend Shane because he loves what he does and wants to work with you.

We requested a junk removal company to haul away our old couch. We completed the request on-line and were contacted within ONE minute by a reputable source. We have not heard from any other companies, as the notification said we would.

This site obviously doesn t research their recommendations. I asked for five star lawn care providers. The first recommendation they sent was for TruGreen. The company has over 3000 bad reviews on the BBB site. Your better off looking though the BBB site

Last Spring I needed to get a sump pump replacement and the area cleaned. After putting my information in I quickly got a few calls to schedule estimates; I chose a contractor that came out the next day and he gave me a good deal. ImproveNet helped me get the work done quick and easy and best of all it was free to get matched. Will use again!

My wife and I were both impressed with the attention to detail that Anthony our painter paid in painting our house. His skills were impeccable....He could have painted the entire house without using a drop cloth, that's how good his painting skills were. Anthony was very efficient and always on time to start working. I would recommend his services to anyone.

The entire idea of this is awful. I get bothered so many times for a project that I can't even press a cancel button on my page. Dont bother using any of these companies. Most of the call backs are very unprofessional and once you put in your info, they call you all the time

I stated clearly that I the service I need is wildlife removal (a nest of raccoons). All I got was multiple calls from companies wanting to do a termite inspections. This was no help at all. Now I'm getting multiple emails about scheduling unrelated home projects which is ridiculous during the virus quarantine.

Not impressed! Asked for a fireplace resurfacing and was sent a landscaper. You must be very specific on what you ask for, I should have put inside fireplace. Needless to say I only had one response 24 hours later and not the contractor I was looking for. Won't use this place ever again!

I ve tried numerous times to get someone to repair my deck with no success, wow I had high hopes for home advisor, only to be let down.

Never again! Although they responded within hours of the initial posting and came out to view the property, we were told we would get an estimate of our project for using either sod, seed or hydro seed. Contacted twice by email and once by phone after one week of waiting we were told that we would receive our estimate by tomorrow(24 hours) later. Within 3 hours we receive an email about their contractors not accepting more projects. No one expected contractors! If this is how an estimate works, business with them is not what we would ever want! They never even indicated they don t do the work to start with! Not a business that I would ever trust!

Whoever's in charge of Austin/Leander area called and hung up in my face when discussing quotes for exterior paint.

I was contacted by a Landscaper out of Corpus using this website. I paid in advance 1/2 the cost which was his requirement. He has not began the job. I have been trying to reach someone to report this and ImproveNet has yet to respond. Don't use this website. They don't screen their referrals. I am having to file a theft police report to try to get a refund.

Contractor never called - improvenet badgered me for weeks with texts and emails wanting to know how the project went. Waste of time.

I get emails from Improvenet each week that have excellent suggestions for my projects around the house. I want to remodel my bathroom and these emails have given me so many ideas!

I see here various layouts and it was very helpful.

I entered all the information asked for and was told I would receive an email with up to four matches for companies to do the work in my area. Later I received an email with four recommendations and five popular in my area of which none did the type of work I requested. The activity was a total waste of time.

I have a 2600 sq ft house and asked ImproveNet to find me a painter. The painter came and looked and gave me a quote of $15,000 to paint walls in the 2600 sq ft house. The painter keeps calling thinking I will eventually hire them even though they are a factor of 10x greater than anyone should ever have to paint a house that size. Not impressed at all.

got call from the "expert" who after 10 minutes talk said he they don't do this service
