Great place, amazing entertainment and well layed out!
The Imperial Theatre Sarnia is just the right size building to view productions, comedians and musical venues. We recently saw Jeremy Hotz. It was sold out and the show was comical. The theatre itself was great for veiwing as it is not too large. Seeing the stage is excellent & the sound is good too.
Great show with Brent Butt, fine comedian from Corner Gas
Great place to see a show or concert... Acoustics are awesome. Very intimate size...no bad seats!
I keep coming back and seeing better and better shows!
Excellent venues. Pleasant staff. Well stocked bar.
The theatre is nice and quaint, you are able to get great views wherever you are seated. The bar has a bit of a selection enough to please. Have been to two plays and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience
Excellent experience for kids to try out their performing arts
Would be a 5 but seats were very small for an average sized adult and challenging for the tall people around me to find space
What an awesome organization.!! I may be a bit biased, but there are few volunteer community theatres that own their own 600 seat world class venue. Congratulations Theatre Sarnia!!
Always a great place to hear music and watch live plays
Sarnia's premier theatre house. Great venue for events. Brian and his staff are so helpful.
We had a wonderful evening .. staff was simply amazing...from getting tickets to helping get us to the wheelchair seating area....we will be back. And Momma Mia was great!!!
Fabulous venue. Mary a bad seat. Wonderful productions.
Love this theater. I've watched many shows here and performed a few times... all great times!
Great location, comfortable and friendly atmosphere to watch local talent.
Totally awesome what an a
Amazing wonderful performance by the Celtic dancers !! Enjoyed myself so much they should do twice a year performances!! Thank you
Great small theater with good seating and sound. Cozy and fun.
I helped with a theatre production here recently. The quality was great!
I've seen a few shows here from plays to comedy and have enjoyed every one. My only concern is the seating near the back flattens out so it can be tough to see the stage well depending whose in front on you. Overall highly recommended
Saw Jesus Christ Superstar. Pro performance at a low cost
Took a hop over the bridge to hear Morgan James sing. Awesome power with great guitar from Doug. The venue was a classic theater. They have done some nice renovations and improvements. Drinks (beer, wine, mixed drinks) are available from the beverage counter to enjoy during the show. The staff was very friendly.
Our theatre group took part in the WODL Festival held in Sarnia at the Imperial Theatre. It is a beautiful theatre and we were treated amazingly well. They even served us a delicious lunch and supper the day we performed our play. Very friendly and accommodating. Wish I lived closer so I could attend more theatre performances there.
Great place for a concert. Was a little skeptical with a seated concert, but seats were reasonably priced and great view. Sound was awesome and everyone ended up standing so it was a great show. Would go there again for sure.
The plays or entertainment is always good plus it has a certain ambiance to it. It creates a nice comfortable feeling for an enjoyable outing
Great venue for live performing theater arts and live musical performances. Great seating and acoustics plus a cash bar.
Great place. Old but I love that they kept the old esthetics
Can never say enough good things about the professional staff and this theater.
Our church has our Easter service there every year. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The chairs are comfortable and the acoustics are good.
Went to see the Xmas play"Scooge" and it was beautifully executed.
The visual effects were very Impressive! I was extremely surprised and delighted.
Would recommend and will go back in near future
Seat were comfortable. Both performances that I have seen were great. More stalls in the up stairs washrooms for the women. (Still long line ups)
It a beautiful venue it's great what they have done with it. I remember going to the old Capitol Theater as a child.
Great shows! Seating is comfortable even for tall people.
Recently seen a comic and (on a separate night) attended a friends wedding here at the theater. It's a great place for an event and a local treasure. Going to try to attend more events here!
Plays, musicals, concerts, community theatre! A Sarnia gem. Our community is lucky to have it!!!!!! Just saw Lighthouse 50th Anniversary Tour! Spectacular!!
Nice to have a beautiful theater to go to in the downtown core
Great line up of shows. You get Toronto caliber shows at a bargain price. Fabulous entertainment.
Comfortable place to be entertained by local actors
For an older theatre, it is great and has character
Beautifully restored Art Deco theatre hosts great entertainment in Downtown Sarnia. I've always had a great experience when attending events here. Seats are comfy, acoustics and sound is great, and the facility is gorgeous.
Saw production of Evil Dead the musical. Was great. I realize the theatre is old and it didnt bother me much but im a tall guy and those seats were close together. I wasnt very comfortable. Good thing for intermission.
The decor is good and it presents good events. On the other hand, the comfort of the seats leaves something to be desired.
Imperial theater is in the middle of up grading a few things. I'd like to see the sponsor plaques put in a design on the walls, and beautify the seating .
Went and seen Magic! Had an awesome time, it's also a great theatre.
My review is based on the venue itself and not the performance, I feel that imperial offers a lot of entertainment options for the Sarnia area. However, the venue is outdated, the furniture is uncomfortable, the drinks expensive and there is no heat. -9 celsius outside and I had to watch the performance in full winter gear including gloves and so did most of the audience. The women bathroom was full of spiders, could see your breath and ice was forming on the floor. I don't know how anyone can enjoy a show here. not to mention there was no enforcement of the rules, with people coming in and out of the theater, playing on their phones, chattering and being obnoxious.
Great place to see a concert, if you are anywhere near the Blue Water Bridge, super easy to access, plenty of free parking. Poesy/Matthew Good was such a great show! I have to believe other performers would also perform well at the venue. No stress!
Great show and experience saw classic albums Zeppelin 3
Great amateur theater....top notch. Also beautiful venue with ample theater help.
Very nice place to see a show. Acoustics are good and you can reserve an intermission beverage so there is no waiting in line. Love going to this venue.
Nice venue, acoustics are good, no seat seems too far from the stage
What a show! Great place to go and have an experience of a life time. Who thinks of a play when thinking of things to do with friends and/or loved ones. It's a great idea and fun for the whole family!
We went to the Brent Butt comedy show. It was our first visit since the Imperial Theatre make over from the old Capital Movie Theatre of years past. Brent was fantastic and the crowd all enjoyed his performance. I could tell because of the great laughter. The place was a a near sellout. I would guess at least 95% seats sold. You were able to purchase a can of beer or a glass of wine and there were people selling 50/50 draw tickets. Over all an extremely fantastic experience.
