I gave iMedical a 5 star rating - this service enables me to privately request tests making pathology testing readily accessible when working with a Naturopath as opposed to a GP (my Naturopath introduced me to iMedical) and goes a long way to helping me be responsible for my own health care. Absolutely spectacular service, extremely fast report returns, and a flexible, comprehensive, and easy-to-use website, covering a vast number of different blood tests (among other tests, such as urine). I highly recommend using iMedical for convenience and for ordering specific tests.
In the past, I've often had to ask GPs for certain tests, and these tests would never be as complete or exhaustive as I'd like. And then I'd have to wait many days before rebooking an appointment with the GP to collect my results. But by using iMedical, I've finally had specific and comprehensive hormone profiles completed and the entire process was convenient (ordered tests are sent by email) and fast, with most of my blood test results arriving by email on the same day of blood collection!

This is by far the most cost effective, simple and powerful service for anyone looking to take control of their own healthcare. You get the pathology form instantly and your results are emailed the next day for the majority of tests - my favourite thing is that I can order ANY pathology test that exists without having to see a doctor. I do recommend to always follow up with a trusted GP, if possible.

You go to the iMedical website, login, choose a packaged or a custom blood test and pick the tests you want. If you don't know what the test is about you click the help link. Easy to read and understand. Ordering is easy.
Then you go to an approved collection centre and get the test done. Within a day or two your pathology report by email as a PDF. The report is well presented and easy to understand. The whole experience is prompt and professional.
I am not a medical professional yet I can easily read and understand the pathology report because it is so easy. I now do not have to waste time visiting a GP just to order a blood test. I simply order and pay online. Print the request and take it to an approved collection centre. It cant get easier than this. Very happy and will use the service all the time.

Could not recommend this service more. We saved a bomb by having a stack of results when we walked in to see our doctor. When A test we wanted weren t available we called up and it were added within moments. On a seperate occasion my husband had a doctor appointment so we called up to get test results. While we were on the phone Chris had called both the lab and the people who had sent it to the lab and checked on the progress. I am consistently blown away by the services offered by IMedical.

I found ordering my private blood test online super-easy, just like any other online purchase, then I printed out the form went into the collection place the same day and even got my results the next day. Being in north QLD I worried there might not be a collection centre nearby but there were lots for me to choose from and they pop up on the website with a map, opening times phone number - really helpful. I would use this online blood test service again without hesitation.
Private tests (private only in a sense you have to pay the full price, though) are great when you're a nerd with extra cash who wants to satisfy their curiosity, without paying your GP a visit - to "justify" Medicare, perhaps.
The medical practice/human who handles the paperwork adds only a couple of hours delay both ways - in you receiving referral forms and results from the lab. They will follow up with the lab if there is a holdup. A huge number of labs accept these referrals, I'd bet all labs not affiliated with a specific practice do.
Finally, I don't think this site makes a huge markup on the tests, you're going to spend more on visiting your GP. Or wait for weeks if you have a friendly bulk-billing GP. Time is money and you get great value for yours.

Very thorough! It's a bit of a cliche, but being a doctor I am terrible at seeing my GP or having check ups. I was very impressed with the staff at iMedical. In one visit, you can have your full blood work done, stress ECG, urinalysis and spirometry. Everything you need to do but never get done. I was so impressed, I now work with them!
