This is more emotional than any regular museum. This is a real nuclear power station! The museum has a wonderful guide! Unlike many other guides, he knows the answers to any questions, and not just what he has learned. Very nice and nice girl. He talks with interest and not only about the station itself. Thanks!

An interesting place, on the outskirts of Visaginas, a very large area, you should visit the whole area by bike, car or get ready for a walk. There is free movement in the outdoor area and there are plenty of parking spaces. The area is heavily guarded and maintained. Photographing of the internal structures of a nuclear power plant is prohibited unless permission has been granted.
Impressive complex with a nuclear power plant that never started (same technology as Tjernobyl). You can freely drive around the site and watch.
Tours were no longer given at the time.
Also the related Russian construction of Visaginas is worthwhile!

One of the newest and most powerful nuclear power plants of the Soviet type. Should be closed after Lithuania joins the EU.
We have just had an excursion at the power plant. It was truly amazing! A price is quite high (57,92 ) but it is worth it. As far as know these excursions are highly on demand after TV series "Chernobyl" so you might have to wait several months after registration.
Great place to visit, takes a lot of planning but totally worth it. The guide was very informative and helpful. Mindblowing experience!
I served there in the construction troops in 1988, I remember when we were brought there I was impressed by the scale, especially from these beautifully elongated pipes, I still remember, and the nature is so beautiful there, it's a pity that everything fell apart ...

Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant is amazing place. I had a pleasure to visit NPP with private tour. I have seen Reactor Hall, Control room, and turbine hall. I was guided by Jurgita Norvai ien , and she was amazing. It was one of the most exciting experience in my life! Soo excited to walk on RBMK 1500 reactor!
