Idaho OB/GYN (Marianne Zakarian, M.D.) Review

I switched offices because of the NP I left feeling like I waisted her time she was very rude.

Is the reason why I will NEVER go back.
She doesn't even communicate with her nurse,
So I don't get why she even has a nurse come in if she doesn't even communicate with her.
I came for my yearly check up & continued to try & push birth control down my throat when I tried to explain I have had issues with them in the past.
Then tries to push me to take prenatal vitamins... I DO NOT plan on having kids.
Then after all this finds out I am a smoker *which if she would be talked to her nurse she would've known that information* she tells me that it's a good thing I didn't get on birth control because I'm a smoker.
Don't waste your time with Lindsey

Dr. Zakarian is very kind and personable and so is the staff. They were able to squeeze me in as a new patient on a moment's notice, due a bike injury I had (which caused concerning symptoms). The doc was able to perfom functions that you often have to go to another facility for, which saved me time and money. The Dr. even offered to look at my injured knee and put my mind at ease about it. Just an overall great experience where you don't feel like just another person going through a clinic. I highly recommend this office!

I usually do not write reviews for doctors but I just couldn't believe it when I saw that this practice didn't have 5 stars. Lindsay Erstad (their PA) has been one of the best medical professionals I have ever encountered. When I call in about questions I always receive a kind and professional response that same day. I have been returning to the practice for almost 15 years now. I was 14 years old for my first annual with Dr. Z, who made me feel so comfortable and safe. Since then I have experienced tons of annual check ups and multiple scary procedures, and I am genuinely still so happy to come back every year. I have honestly never had a bad experience with Lindsay or the staff. I have never felt pressured or unconformable, rushed or agitated. I have never felt that my questions were stupid or that my wishes were being disregarded. So often I hear horror stories about OBGYNs and I just feel so grateful that I have Dr. Z and Lindsay instead of the creepy, pushy and judgmental jerks out there. The office is even cute, clean, warm and inviting. Seriously, 100% recommend, you wont be sorry.

Apparently when business is good they don t need to take new clients at this office? I work a job where my days off are given last minute so I get to deal with the unfortunate task of calling doctors offices to try and get last minute cancellations and have 0 expectations and am thankful when I get them. I simply and politely call in just to ask if they have any last minute cancellations, and instead of a genuine and professional response that I would assume like, I m sorry unfortunately we do not. instead I got someone who seemed amused by my asking and proceeded to tell me that there s no appointments for months in a rude manner and when I ask her even after her response kindly if there s ever any cancellations they get with them being this busy just so I know if should try to call back another time - she informs me again as if rubbing it in that there s a waitlist and I will unlikely get in. General rule of thumb with customer service, a simple question deserves a simple answer unless someone asks for additional details - otherwise you make it seem as though your potential clients are wasting their time even asking.

The actual treatment I've received at this office has been fine, but the office has some serious dysfunction. I was not notified of bad test results for over 8 months, only finding that I needed more care and procedures performed when I came in on my own accord to get a prescription renewed. The office has, on three occasions, failed to remind me of upcoming appointments. They have no procedure for reporting results of blood work, and act as though I am being odd for requesting a copy to review. Those who wish to be INFORMED of their health, care plan, and results should seek treatment elsewhere.

I have been going to Lindsay since 2015 and she has the best personality which is so important!
Visiting an OBGYN as a young woman can be an awkward experience but she made my first visit comfortable and I haven t wanted to switch providers since.
The staff takes the time to listen and I ve never felt rushed; additionally, although I am not planning on becoming pregnant anytime soon, Lindsay made sure that I had the knowledge and preparation for when my husband and I do decide to try again.

This office is not organized, they are gossips (I heard of another patient's complaint from the Doctor herself)...they performed a procedure on me which the doctor asked me to remind me why I was there AND they never called with results--they did mail other results in a postcard--??? I am HORRIBLY sad I ever trusted this office with my health.

Very happy with my experience here. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They made a great impression, and I loved the service I received as a patient by the provider. I will recommend this office and return for future services. :) Thank You

Dr Zakarian came highly recommended to me by my sister, who was devastated when she learned that she (the dr) no longer performs deliveries. I made an appointment with high hopes and the initial visit went OK until I saw the bill--they wanted hundreds of dollars for a first appointment, all of which was due out of pocket since I didn't have insurance coverage at the time. That negative experience chased me away for a solid year until complications with an aging Mirena IUD forced me back into her office (seriously, why does Treasure Valley only have a handful of OB's?). I went in for a new IUD, was told the Liletta is exactly like the Mirena, and so trusted the advice of the staff and agreed to the replacement. It is NOT like the Mirena. A few months in I started having major pregnancy symptoms to the point where I bought tests to see if the mood swings, weight gain, chest tenderness and constant nausea were an actual pregnancy. I finally figured out it was the Liletta, called the office to request an appointment for a removal, and was told the soonest appointment they had is nearly a month out. I feel for the doctor being out on disability, but come on! It's something different every time I try to hire their services.

5+ stars for this office. I never leave any reviews, but when I saw a poor review written about Lindsey I had to post one myself. I had seen Lindsay Erstad many times and she is absolutely phenomenal. She doesn't waste time studying what's been quickly jotted down in my paper chart but instead spends time with me and communicates with me directly to gather all pertinent info. I happened to be scheduled with their new PA Christine Paynter today; and I am very glad I was. Christine is like a breath of fresh air. I am very impressed and pleased with her. She even helped with issues my GI doc should have addressed. Thank you Christine you are one of few docs whom I felt listened and genuinely cared.

I had a wonderful experience. Friendly staff and they worked hard to make sure my services were covered under insurance before performing any procedures. I saw the PA Lindsay and she was very professional and made me feel comfortable. I also was assisted by Kaye who was amazing. Won't be going anywhere else.

Everyone there treated me as a person and actually took the time to get to know me and hear out my concerns. I never once felt rushed or unimportant and that is so vital to building a trusting and loyal relationship between patient and caregiver. I highly recommend going here for any of your obgyn appointments. Guaranteed satisfaction. I was a little skeptical about seeing a PA, but after that visit, I would go and want her to care for me again. :)

What an amazing staff. I was not in there one minute and felt like I already had help coming my way and was being taken seriously. Dr. Zakarian is awesome. She listens and wants to help you. Thank you!

Very rude staff. This office does not follow any code of ethics. Also BEWARE this doctor see patients as well as doing her own accounting. I had a major procedure scheduled out with them. They had seen me a day prior to fill out paperwork. I get a call that morning, 2 hours before the appointment, saying I need to bring them almost $1000 or I can t be seen. No bill, no record of my insurance being billed, I was just expected to blindly trust LOL

Let's set the record straight shall we. Lindsay is amazing and stellarly professional! As well as helps you feel comfortable even if you seriously need her help, like something is wrong! She helped me feel comfortable and has a good sense of humor, very fresh when it comes to knowing how to help you heal your body! Love her! I can count on her always! I know this. Also Dr. Z is an amazing GODDESS! Ok all the ladies are actually, but Dr. Z tells you like it is and guided me to all the referring doctors to help me deal with the breast cancer that was found. This office plays not around with your health but with your sense of fun. I will forever hold this office a special place in my heart for all the help they have given me in my healing journey this year. It's been so intense, but without this crew I would be in serious serious problem-land. I am so so so grateful for them and forever shaped in the best way with goddess helping me heal me.

I have never written a review for anything, until now. I was in search of a good (and gentle) place to have my yearly exams done since my previous office closed. I was a little reluctant at first because I am very shy so it is hard for me to find a doctor that makes me feel comfortable. When I first walked in, the receptionist was very kind and patient while I was figuring out my insurance and paperwork. Once I was in my room I immediately felt at ease. It was very clean and organized. Lindsey (their PA) was the one who did my exam and she was great! I have to say, I have never felt comfortable while going to these types of appointments, but she was very helpful explaining different birth controls I can use and gave me the run down of all the possible pros and cons. Most of all she made relative conversation with me while I was on the bed to make things less awkward.
Like I said; I have never written a review for anything, but I am so happy with this office, I felt it was needed!

Dr. Z and her office are the best! She is caring and really takes time to listen to her patients. She's the BEST OBGYN I've ever had! Her staff is very friendly and so efficient. There is even a great selection of magazines in her waiting room...although I've never had a long wait!

Just had a great experience at Dr. Zakarian s office. Despite running over an hour behind due to an emergent situation everybody I encountered in the office was warm, professional, and took their time with me. Dr. Zakarian and her staff stay current on studies effecting women s health and I always leave with knowledge I did not have before. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the doctor as well as each and every staff member.
