Third or fourth time going to this brewery. Never disappointed. I have had their beer at festivals and stuff so I'm pretty familiar.
We stopped in on a Sunday and it was slow which gave us a chance to chat with the very friendly staff. The decor is awesome and fun. The beer is cold and delicious. It's an easy spot to miss if you're not paying attention. But worth the hunt

I went to Hysteria for the first time on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. It was busy but not as crowded where you couldn t find a seat. The beer menu was pretty diverse although a little stout and sour heavy for my liking. Also, you can bring your dog. There were at least 7 dogs present and behaving. As far as food, they have snacks available but the guy leaving when I arrived looked like he had a pizza delivered and the sandwich board sign referenced food trucks at certain times. Very nice time with a group or buddy/gal pal.

The beers were good, but the pit beef place that shares space with them is subpar. We were overcharged for our order, the pit beef sandwich was refrigerator-cold and fatty, served with a doughy cheap hamburger roll, and the fries were unsalted. I might return for another beer, but the food was a real turn-off. It s a shame.

The trash panda beer was delicious and staff was really friendly...but i think they were brewing a new batch and the smell was a little too overbearing to thoroughly enjoy my experience. I wish they brewed in a separate room or closed off area

This place is the best. For about a year and half they have been cranking out consistently good beers, keeping a wide selection of styles on draft at all times. If you are a stout or an IPA person, this is an absolute must try. Coffee stout, milk stout, barrel aged stout when its there are fantastic. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Where they lack is food on site but to make up for it, there is almost always a food truck outside, and there are plans to expand in order to provide food inhouse. Drinks are extremely reasonably priced. Expect to pay 7 dollars for 16 oz. What are you waiting for?>

A good start. They are a young brewery, who will get better as time passes. Their menu is a little stout heavy, but that is kind of refreshing to see considering some brewers now only have variations on the IPA. Hope to see them get better so I can up my rating!

GREAT BEER, FUN STAFF and PLAYFUL INDUSTRIAL AMBIANCE!
THERE'S a NEW HAPPENING BREWERY IN TOWN and I couldn't be more excited!

I tried their beers when they first opened their warehouse for trial and tasting when they just started the construction in March. They were giving the tours of their brewing process and telling stories about their founders and brewers and what they are brewing. I loved all the beer that I tasted and waited for their opening day ever since then. Well, they were scheduled to open in June but they finally opened in September after lot of hurdles.

AREA: I finally went their again past week and I was very please with their ambiance. They had gramophone which you can play and there were plenty of records to chose from. There was a cozy sitting area near the window where you can play Zenga and several other games. Also, the area is not very crowded or loud which is always a plus.

BEER & SERVER: The servers are very friendly, knowledgeable and they offer you tiny tasting sample as well if you are not sure. I tried theit YELLOW SUDMARINE and THIS IS NOT A TEST and loved both beer. However, on the pre-opening they were offering a sour beer and breakfast coffee stout which I loved but that didn't make the menu. I would love to drink that if they are planning on bringing that.

FOOD: During first visit, they mentioned something about collaborating with local food truck but I think that option is not available yet. However, we were able to order a delivery from HOME SLYCE and it was quick and very delicious.

Overall, this is a fun place to hang out, have some beer and play games! I would definately recommend checking this place out!

Let me lead with the beer is good. I was somewhat leery as they have a lot of IPA's on draft which is not my preferred style but, the ones I tried had a good hop aroma and flavor without being overly bitter. It was busy and while the staff was friendly and working hard - there was only two of them. It wasn't obvious to me but, more seating is available in the "back" (a sign would be helpful). Some sharp edges on the bar height tables; I'd seriously recommend closed toe shoes when visiting. My last thought is a common one for local breweries - a popcorn machine/free popcorn. They always encourage me to stay longer and buy more beer. Hysteria was partnering with a local senior dog rescue for a donation event when I visited and is both dog and kid friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

The best brewery in Columbia-- it definitely helps that the staff is super friendly, very knowledgeable, and always happy to offer a recommendation or tasting.

Also, people bringing their dogs in is a nice bonus. 10/10.

Stopped today (Monday May 25) because they are donating 1/2 of sales to the Ellicott City rebuild fund due to 2nd once in a thousand year flood in 2 years.

Really busy but batenders were quick and super friendly - they kept saying "thanks for coming in for the EC fund raiser".

This was my first visit but will be on my absolutely return to list. #ECStrong

Of all the Maryland breweries I've been too, I think I like the atmosphere of Hysteria the best. The place had very laid back vibe that kind of reminds me of a bar. Enjoyed a flight of delicious IPAs. It was a good day.

Literally my favorite place to be in Columbia. The beer, the staff, and the environment are all awesome. I'm there at least once or twice a week.

One of my favorite parts (besides the awesome beer) is the back area where they have over-sized beer pong, ladder ball, giant Jenga, a Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 64 on 2 different televisions, Kan Jam, and plenty of board games. There's a free Golden Tee machine in the front near the bar as well.

I can't recommend this place enough.

Been there several times, midweek and Saturdays and the brews and the staff are both top shelf. The selection today was a somewhat limited, I arrived at 7pm Saturday and the food trick was gone. (Ran out of food on a Saturday ?)
The capacity is listed at 124. But there was literally no room for people arriving at 730pm.
Business is obviously good, but there is no room for people and no food at 7pm. Not good.

Hysteria has a really friendly venue with the decision of a mad inventor's library. The beer is wonderful and varied; there were 3 different stouts on tap when we visited! The surprise was a cobbler pale ale that was both IPA and cobbler at the same time and a delightful savoury treat - well worth trying. Oh, and the point glasses are goblets for a more sophisticated feeling pint. Great!

Very lovely place. Came here to watch my friend and her band play. Great taps at great price! They offer different sizes. There's a small library and games here. Human size Jenga and beer pong in the back. Lots of restrooms. Service is very observant and while it was a little busy they were able to notice when someone new came in or when someone was running empty. I will be back!

Great atmosphere, but the beer could be way better! Trash panda is appropriately named! The Great Gam Gam's Rauchwine was really good. All the other beers were mediocre. The music set up was inviting and fun for the crowd we were with!! And they ran out of the 2 beers people came to try...

Took my son for his birthday. It was a Saturday and very crowded. That's a good sign. Servers were all friendly and helpful. A part of the sitting area was reserved for a private party, so I didn't really get the full view of the facility. We saw numerous families with little kids who were fun to watch. Also a couple of people with dogs inside for those of you who like bringing your pet. The wood fire brick over pizza food truck stayed exceptionally busy. With all these great things, the beers seem just ok. The coffee milk stout was better than ok but the IPA and Amber ales were ok.

Solid beer selection and super cool bartenders. It s a small and spartan place so having a beer with friends is what s on tap. They had a eclectic selection of styles when we were here. we enjoyed our time.

Awesome taproom and great beer! First time there just recently and loved all the beer I tried - they have a good selection ranging from fruited beer to dark stouts. They also have smaller pours if you want to try different ones. Highly recommend!

Thier staff is so nice and friendly, the beers were delicious, I recommend the "little happy accident" if you're into sours, and the place is so cute and comfortable. The place is dog friendly which can discourage some people but every dog the went in were so sweet. Deffiently a spot to hit if your looking for a place to hang out and relax for a while.

Awesome new brewery!!! They have 4 different stouts on tap, IPA, Pale and a Hefe. IPA was awesome along with the wet pale. I wish they had a beer info listing the hops for each beer. Also if they are going to have 8 beers on tap...please either do a mega flight with all or at least a standard flight of 4. That way I can get two flights and try all the beer. Current flight is only 3.

Only reason for 2 stars is because I went to the new establishment during its "open" hours (tonight) arrived to locked doors and no signs of people, I am sorry for a new business you should honor your times. I love microbrews and frequent often but I may not return as who knows when you are open.
