Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Each time I've placed an order (1 hr calls) for delivery Farrell/Valley Center Propane has made excuses. Called the Corporate office excuses.

I called 15 times and no one answers. Waited for 45 minutes on hold to talk to someone and nobody picked up the phone. Incredible!!!!!
I don't recommend this company to anyone for home residential service. There business model for taking care of their customers is SUBSTANDARD. From the day you place your order is 10 business days until delivery. If you need it delivered faster because your tanks are all most empty add extra $150 service charge to your order. Valley Propane tells Ferrell Propane how many gallons of propane to deliver to each home based on an estimation of the amount that is in your tanks on the day you placed your order. Ferrell Propane filled on of my tanks the other day 1st tank full and the 2nd tank 50%. I asked the guy from Ferrell Propane, "Why can't you finish filling my tank?" His response was "Because Valley Propane office order was for a little over 100 gallons. Buyers. Sorry sir. I don't recommend either of these companies. I asked Valley Propane, "Is it possible to have propane delivered to my home every 3 weeks. Valley Propane, "No you have to call us when your tanks are around 30% or have a device installed on your tanks for an additional charge $150 that will send Valley Propane a message when your tanks are 30%.
Probably one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced in any field. Don't waste your time with these people. Valley Center has plenty of options for propane from companies that actually respond to voicemails and emails. I pressed the "emergency" prompt after two days of holds and voicemails with no return phone call and actually received help. So just remember if you want help from this "local" propane provider, just tell them your gas is leaking. Complete garbage people
AVOID AT ALL COST!
I paid for and ordered propane in January. This company kept my money for 2 months, refusing a refund and flat-out did not deliver.
Week after week I called, begged, pleaded, reminded them over and over that my entire house runs on propane and I can t live in it without the propane I paid for. Customer service is horrendous! No matter which number you call, the phone system sends you down a rabbit warren, connecting you with Call Center representatives in different states. They hang up on you, are rude to you, yell at you, laugh at you and scoff at you.
My tank got lower and lower, forcing me to use electric heaters so I could preserve the dwindling propane for cooking and hot water. One representative even offered me a list of homeless shelters when my tank got below 2% and I told her I was going to have to leave my home because I couldn t live here without heat and hot water and I also couldn t afford the $400 electric bills from the heaters I had to run (bill usually $100) while I waited on them to deliver.
Their online chat feature is a joke. Nobody answers it. You wait 30 mins to an hour for customer service on the phone, then they hang up on you. The customer service when you go into their offices, is just as bad, if not worse. They had no problem at all looking you in the eye and telling you you can t have your money back and they can t possibly send a driver to deliver. Apparently two months isn t a long enough lead time for them, even though they had been promising delivery on a weekly basis. The drivers of their trucks are amazing guys...but everyone else sucks rotten eggs!
FERRELLGAS...family owned and operated, proud to take your family s money and put you and your family out in the cold, rather than refund or deliver as promised. No wonder everyone sues them!
QUICK EDIT...Ferrellgas bought and now owns Valley Center Propane. Valley Center propane under the old ownership was AMAZING!
This company was originally awesome, then got bought by Ferrellgas about a year or 2 ago unfortunately! Since then it has been terrible, bad customer service, slow to respond or refill tanks (unless you pay $195 for same day delivery!) We are not so happy but the prices are unbeatable so that's why we still have them!
