I had a dog bite the tip of my finger off and it was completely amputated. After being at two other facilities during the night for this incident, I was finally transferred to Hurley and the care I received was AMAZING. The doctors and nurses treated me so well and made it possible for me to finally feel relaxed and comfortable with the care I was receiving. A huge thank you to the staff for giving me the proper care that I didn t receive before. Another huge thank you to Dr. Jondy for salvaging what was left of my finger. I m no longer in excruciating pain and I cannot thank this staff enough! Outstanding hospital!!

I have a story from hell. What good is a Trauma Center if you can't get access to care. Disappointing. You shouldn't be waiting for 3 hours after being in a MVA, and brought in by EMS to be seen.

Went to Hurley Monday with a severe whole in my head. I had fallen at home. They took very good care of me and run all kinds of tests, not like geniuses that does nothing. After 14 months of one Dr. after the next I might have a diagnosis. Thank god! So glad I had the two wonderful ambulance drives take me to Hurley. Brian and zack

Chose this hospital to have my children at because of it's reputation. In 2018 things were ok, office staff could care less about you but the doctors and nurses were great. 2020 things were awful and I couldn't even get an appt to see a doctor until I was almost 5 months pregnant. I was told by the "nurse" via MyChart that I wasn't high risk even though my chart and the doctors had told me I was and that I didn't need an appt any sooner. Get into that appt and was then asked by the doctor why I waited to get this appt because I was almost past the threshold for some of the testing they needed to do. Get through the horrors of delivering during COVID and then get the bills which just kept rolling in. Hurley uses a company called FlyWire for their payment plans so I was forced to pay a 3.95 fee per payment since my bills totaled over 2k. After a year of on-time payments I was then sent to collections and when I contacted Hurley they tell me that they see my on-time payments since the beginning and to disregard the collection notices..........what a joke

Signed in close to 3am. Was told a hour wait. Only 6 people sitting in the waiting room with 3 of them complaining about being here starting at 10:30pm. Watched a patient bleeding from his head and arms come in. The chair he was wheeled in wasn't cleaned and just pushed over with the rest. The man has gotten up and moved to three different chairs, bleeding on them all. One patient is sitting here having tremors for the 3 hours we have sat here. Watched a man racing around on a amego with a iv bag and a monitor connected to him in the parking lot. A family came in with two sick children both under 2. They got up and left after waiting 45 minutes. I understand being short staffed and covid on the rise again but this is ridiculous for a hospital.

My 3 year old son was transferred from memorial healthcare to Hurley this last weekend with pneumonia. Everyone was so very helpful and caring the whole time! From the emergency room attendants, right up to the nurses and doctors on the pediatric floor! We were in a ER room for about 4 hours waiting for a room on the pediatric floor to open up, and the ER doctor and nurse were so kind and helpful!

Got transferred to Hurley from a small hospital due to a major level 1 brain trauma. Hurley accessed and decided to send me to U of M due to the trauma level after about 8 to 10 hours. I do not remember but them sending me to U of M was smart and probably saved my life.

Positive COVID-19 patient, went in this morning to receive antibodies and the nurses treated me like an animal. I had my call light on to use the bathroom for over 20 minutes, nobody came to help me. I ended up ripping out my own IV and left.
