Jamie personally helped us greatly by providing 3D renditions of our build and assisted us with picking out material and design choices that best fit what we were looking for. Was the best cabinet shopping experience we've ever had!
We had a house 2 years ago. Our builder recommended Huntwood. So we went with them. Nice Cabinets, a little spendy I thought. But it is what it is. Anyway, we had to replace the front of the cabinet door. My wife called in the order. After a period of time went by. They called and said...your pieces are in. So during my day at work I thought I'd pick these up. I called. The lady that answered said you need to call 24 hours ahead. I said no one told me that. She said...OH, its only the front door of the cabinet, it will be fine. So I went to Bay A. The guy that helped me was a real GEM. VERY RUDE! So I picked them up and he said next time call 24 hours ahead.
I get them home. Open the box. There the wrong ones. So now I have to make a special trip back. Brian from customer service was nice and apologized for the inconvenient. So I call Thursday around 11:00 and asked if I can pick up. She says you have to call 24 hours before. I said there just cabinet doors. She said Ok...thats fine. I can understand calling 24 hours ahead if your picking up alot....but we just have a door. So the same guy from last time helps me. I didn't catch his name. But he says to me why didn't you call 24 hours ahead. Once again....he was RUDE & Mumbling stuff under his breath. Chewing me out! NOT EXCEPTABLE! You spend that kind of money and get treated like that. NOT EXCEPTABLE! He's not a good representation of Huntwood!!!
I Love Huntwood!! I'm working with Whitney and she goes above and beyond when trying to give you what you want. We just finished drawing up my New Kitchen and I'm so excited!! I definitely recommend Huntwood Custom Cabinets! They also have very Reasonable Prices for Cupboards!

I experienced absolutely fabulous after sales service in their Edmonton, Alberta service office by Nikki. My family recently bought a house that had a kitchen done by huntwood 3 years ago. The kitchen door had a minor issue with edge finishing that was peeling. Even though our of warranty, they ordered a new part for me. Today it arrived. I am very happy. To bad they closed their Branch in Alberta
DON'T BUY HUNTWOOD CABINETS! purchased $50K+ of cabinets from Huntwood directly. I verified color and was told by their in-house salesperson and on their paperwork that the cabinets would be painted Hardwood. When I recieved the shipment, the cabinets were MDF, the box material was not the 3/4" ply like they state on their website, the drawer material was plywood, I paid for solid. The cabinets were painted the wrong color and they were not only missing toekicks, but came damaged. The boxes were not even built square. When they sent out their paint/service crew to paint onsite they hung the cabinets, and damaged the inside faces of the drawers and then they installed damaged and left. I had to glue the broken face frames and then send them to my painter to fix. They said they would credit me $1500.00 for all the mess of fixing everything, but have ghosted me. I'm embarrassed for them and the way they do business. I'm a contractor, imagine if you were the homeowner and didn't have the resources to fix these problems which they absolutely did not care to handle!
Kevin came out to our house to touch up some of our cabinets and was absolutely fantastic! He was so efficient and very hard working. He also was so friendly to be around! I am beyond impressed with his work! He made me feel like we got new cabinets all over again! Very impressed!!!!
We purchased $50,000 dollars worth of cabinets from Huntwood in 2018. Last week I noticed the paint is wearing off in places. These cabinets have never been cleaned with anything harsher than a damp rag. This morning I noticed the drawer did not slide back in place. Looked at the end and the dovetails are completely out. No sign of any glue. The only thing that has been in this drawer is hot pads, so no weight. We wanted good quality cabinets so we paid more. Go to Ikea! It was a battle from the beginning. Their designer couldn t design an outhouse. Her mistakes which then became our problems cost us thousands of dollars. The installer was great, but customer service was nil.
What a terrible experience from start to finish! Jennica is a piece of work. She will not get back to you with a quote unless you keep calling her and emailing her (over a year!) and then she gives you an outrageous price to make you go away because she doesn't want to do her job. It's obvious to me why this company has so many bad reviews! My builder used this company. Otherwise, I would NEVER choose them!
First off the quality, finish and packaging of the cabinets are really nice. No complaints there. But every step of the way the communication has been absolutely horrible.
I decided to use Huntwood because they're a local company, good quality and a nice range of stock options. I noticed they had free design services. I called to confirm the free design services include stock cabinetry was told yes and made an appointment with the designer. Designer informed me they don't offer design services on stock cabinets. (Did my own design work using excel spreadsheets.)
I had one custom cabinet to order, put the order in and the designer asked to see my entire order. He gave me a quote, silly me for assuming he was putting the order in for my stock cabinets at the same time. Nope. Nobody ever told the next steps for my order. The advertisement for stock cabinetry that you can "Install tomorrow!" is a lie. A little transparency about the order to receive time on stock cabinets would be nice.
Go to pick up my cabinets, was told "We prefer that you call an hour ahead of time." Wonderful. Would have been great if someone actually communicated that to me. Discovered two of my in stock cabinets were delayed. "Your designer was supposed to call you." Nope. Never got a call.
Finally all my cabinets are in, I call the hour ahead of time, arrive at my destination, knock on the door, try to open the door (it's not opening) wait 20 minutes before going to the main office. Only to be told the person was over there and I should have yanked on the door. Really? No signage, no indication someone was there and Huntwood, a profitable company, can't spend $20-50 for a door buzzer??? Seriously?
Every step of the way the communication stank. If you use Huntwood expect good quality cabinets. If you're ordering stock cabinets don't expect communication, service or delivery. I assume Huntwood primarily works with designers, builders and people who deal in kitchens for a living. Well I don't. I don't drop thousands on cabinets on the regular, dropping those assumptions and communicating more would have gone a long way in making this process enjoyable not frustrating.
