Let me start with what a well oiled machine at the main door (545am) very sweet valet let me in then continued setting up for the day
Lovely lady at the desk checked me in temp scan
Then upstairs to the 4th official check in with very nice gentleman. He too escorted me to surgical desk more great ppl. My nurses Mary & Diana so kind and considerate
Surgical team Clarea & Angela also kind & considerate professionals
Dr Buchin as usual worked his magic shout out to Frank & Melissa. Anesthesiologist
Dr Haristein great so thorough.

I was there for a scheduled procedure in 2020 and the nurses were exception and my cardiologist excellent. Perfect experience. Friendly caring safety-minded during a pandemic. 5 stars.

I was in the ER in April and experienced the same excellent treatment

I came here down and out mentally I was seeking psychiatric needs and was admitted to 5 north psychiatric. I would like to say my experience has been that this unit is the best psychiatric program I have ever been in (been in several others) every staff member was absolutely phenomenal and truly cared and is so professional. I would recommend to anyone who is in the same type of shoes I was in to please get help from this wonderful place. I would like to give a special thanks to one of my therapists Jessica Davis who went above and beyond and is a true professional

My first experience with Huntington Hospital. Professional, attentive, very friendly from the nurses to the clean up crew. The food was top notch. Glad I chose this ER to go to. I see some of the negative responses and can't believe they are talking about the same hospital. I need to thank the entire staff for my 2 1/2 day experience.

It s difficult to write a review when it comes to receiving emergency medical services and follow up care. I am grateful that they treated my leg in the manner they did. I was cared for by the orthopedic team. The doctors were extremely knowledgeable, and they answered any questions I had with complete transparency. They did all they could to make sure that my leg was treated in a manner to allow it to begin to heal, with the anticipation and need for future treatments/operations. I have to recognize the nursing team that cared for me. They were all incredible. A couple stood out from the rest, and they know who they are (Rodriguez, etc.). Thank you! I also have to recognize and give thanks to the various aides that provided me with such great care. The PT team were also fantastic. Thanks to all of them, I am on the road to recovery, If I had to give them a grade based upon the entire experience, it would be an A, but there are many A+ players there. I ll soon be getting an operation with an orthopedic trauma doctor they recommended that is part of the Northwell team, and I feel good about their referral because of the way I was cared for by those at Huntington Hospital. Fine medical professionals however the place was filthy. The toilet was dirty, the floor is dirty and the food was inedible. One would expect Mr. Dowling to at the very least insist on keeping the place sparkling and the food edible.
* I was moved to another floor and it was like a fine hotel. Fabulous food, sparkling floors I don t get it

Jackie Moran is the nurse at the ER check in desk today, Sunday 11/12/21 at 8am. She is rude. She is non caring. She is argumentative. Her presence and demeanor made a terrible and painful situation much worse. This is a nurse that should never be allowed to interact with patients on any level. She should not be allowed to interact with people in pain. When I complained about the treatment she replied I just don t care . Her words not mine. Recently by ambulance my 83 year old father was taken to Huntington Hospital emergency room because he was unstable and fell the night before. We could not go with him because of COVID- the treatment or lack of treatment he received is criminal- we called the hospital several times and left our numbers to talk with the Dr/ Nurse- no one spoke with us- after a couple ours they discharged this confused, in pain man into the parking lot where the security called him a cab- while i was on the phone with the hospital he showed up back at the house. Dr Barnaby the ER Doctor was totally wrong about the Diagnosis and offered to take him back to the ER- But we lost confidence in the hospital, staff and administration. We took my father to another Dr and he has a UTI and its quite far along causing him confusion, and pain. I am going to follow up with NYS and others because this Hospital should not be allowed to operate in this manner- more to come.

Never a good reason to be here but always have a pleasant experience with staff

Delivered both my my children here. The first time the L&D were phenomenal but the maternity ward was a bit lacking in care from the staff.

This time around the entire experience was great. The labor nurses were caring and if I needed them, they were right there without being pushy.

The maternity nurses were amazing. My baby had to stay in the NICU for a few extra days and I saw how they interact with the babies as if they are their own children. They well and truly care about those they are responsible for.

Beyond the nurses, the nursing assistants were incredible. Offering to get anything I could ask for, kept everything in the room nice and clean. When leaving and super emotional to leave my little one behind, they offered words of love and encouragement and walked me out to my car.

The maternity and l&d have their own parking lot and entrance so you don t have to go through the entire hospital. The food was good, more like room service than hospital food.

The suite we were in was private and looked like a hotel room. It was comfortable for my partner and I to stay in.

They even give you a celebratory steak and lobster dinner for you and your partner.

Due to Covid we couldn t walk around and visits were limited to 2-6 pm and 1 18+ person at a time.

Highly recommend this hospital for its level of care.
