Rubbish.

Money making scheme which does not put education or people at it's core. Posing as a grammar school. Paying for a uniform, not quality of education. Don't waste your time.

I would put 0 if I could. This school is soo BAD, they only care about the uniform. My child's uniform cost a fortune and the teachers called me to pick up my child because they were socks with a small logo. They don't care about academic studies, only the uniform. My child got teased multiple times, but the teachers won't do anything about it as it was not "serious enough", even though they inform the children to report bullying. The fees are super high but the children don't have necessary resources, like a bigger library and a gymnasium. The children don't even have a good, organised excursion. My child had her hand up and the teacher was ONLINE SHOPPING! This is DISGRACEFUL, my child should be receiving proper education with such an expensive fees. I payed soo much for the rain jacket and my child is not allowed to wear it in class, knowing this, i bought my child the sports jacket as the teachers informed us that their allowed to wear it in class during sport days but the teachers still disallow it, what a WASTE OF MONEY. WORST SCHOOL EVER!

This school only focuses on your uniform and attire, education is not the main focus at this school. The school uniform is going to be changed for the third time in 10 years; once in 2013 (The change of PE Uniform), again in 2016 (Blue shirts arrived only for primary students then once students moved to secondary school they had to switch back into their whites, which meant they had to buy the white shirts again), and finally again in 2018 (The change of white shirts to blue for secondary girls). A blazer costs about $120 for this school, therefore imagine buying the whole uniform again.

Were doing online school. You don't get that much money from work anymore and parents need to take money out of their savings to pay for school. Workers get payed less as they're working from online and could slack or whatever, this also applies to students and teachers in education. Teachers teach worse online and students listen worse because of distractions from the laptop or family. Maybe the school should cut their fees in this pandemic and online learning time instead of being money greedy like always.

Really bad. I can tell you this after spending 5 years here that here are hardly any opportunities for your child here. Many students enroll here, only to leave shortly after discovering that the school is an absolute rip off. The students that leave usually enroll at public schools as it is cheaper and provides students with a variety of opportunities Hume cannot.
Although the teachers are decent, the education system itself is insufficient. When compared with other schools, Hume GRAMMAR is one of the lowest performing schools on the VCE ATAR ranking system. In order to boost their ATAR ranking, they introduced scholarships for gifted students.
The school spends more time infringing students for socks and investing their money on golf carts with the school's logo on it. As a result the school cannot even afford camps for years 8 and 9 students.

If you want to enroll your son or daughter at a good school, you're better off sending them to a public school or any other actual prestigious school.

Not a very great school. You get a warning on getting detention just because you don't wear pants on the first day of a winter term, "I mean who does that?" Most the teachers are good and nice (only most). The fact that they only let the primary school children play on the soccer field and the senior school children play on the footy oval during recess and lunch is pretty stupid.Like what if the senior school children want to play on the soccer field or the primary school children want to play on the oval? Another thing that is very stupid is the fact that Italian is compulsory until year 9.

WARNING

WARNING

The Governance Board needs to look at who they pay as the management are a joke.
Unprofessional and rude, and as every one can see O is even too high as a rating.
All the school thinks about is money money money and maybe the board needs to look at what is going on in the real world.
Education and family should be first but it seems the board put there management first.
I question the ethics of this school ................

This school is absolutely not worth the money! From my 2 years of personal experience, I would not recommended going to this school. I have had a bad experience in this school and would not recommend anyone else, unless they want to waste money. In 2016 13 of the teachers left and were changed throughout the year, which made it difficult to study for those subjects. The curriculum that they taught us was very poor, as the teachers that taught us, were constantly changing and didn't have experience. My maths teacher was a great teacher, and she had mastered in science from collage, yet they made her teach maths, to save themselves money. The school itself isn't actually a grammar school and also lacks basic resources, such as a gym, they didn t have a permanent canteen until 2017 and their facilities are useless. We had to share a A/C remote between all of year 8, our clock didn t actually work because the school couldn t provide batteries; so it was permanently set at 7.00. So I wouldn't recommend anybody to join this school. Furthermore the school is not committed in any way. Many students join, only to leave shortly after discovering that the money is not worth it.

Looking for a good school to put my kids in. After visiting all the open days in the area, Hume Anglican did a great job in showing us what kind of education our children would receive.

You got a new Italian teacher and she doesn t even teach all the grades you have made some glasses have a teacher that isn t even Italian.
Instead of worrying about the uniform someone is wearing or how their hair is worry about learning, you should be happy he is wearing the school uniform, if he want wearing clothes then yes. We pay for our child to be tought and to not miss out on work. DO NOT pin one person or family because you don t like them. Stick by your school uniform policy and don t make boys tuck their shirts in.

This school prioritises looks over actual education, most of the teachers are fair and understanding but some aren't so good.
Sometimes they throw you into things without even telling you what to do
Sometimes they word things in tests weirdly so it makes it harder comprehend, one more thing is that we pay about $70 - $100 on a comfortable good jacket only to be told to take it off as soon as you enter class. I also feel that the school overprices things, I mean come on $300
Just for school things? Last year we bought a book THAT WE DIDN'T EVEN USE FOR THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR, and some people don't even want to learn Italian but they have too Until year 9 that is. Overall this school is good in some areas but also not good in most. (Also i'm being generous giving this a Two star instead of one)

this school is very poor in its education level, the studensts give respect and have better disipline than most other school students but teachers are not very professional and only focus on taking the student's spray jacket off, i dont even understand why we have to take a jacket off with the school's logo on it. we paid over $60 for these and they dont care if we are freezing or not they just care about taking pieces of uniform with the correct authentic school logo off. most signs on the door of most class rooms say: "please take off your rain jackets, scarves, gloves and beanies before you enter the classroom" which i find very moronic and stupid. not more than $500 a term for this school is worth it. like i dont even understand why we have to take our jackets off in the class, our jackets r just comfortable ok?

Hello. I am from a traditional family with strong Christian beliefs. I sent my child to this school to get a proper Christian education and was completely surprised when my child came back as a 'leftist, progressive and woke' individual!!! If only they focused on their school morals and education as much as they did with their unnecessarily strict uniform policies. They should be ashamed of themselves as a school when even Mount Ridley has better reviews.

This school is bad because it cares more about uniform and we pay up to 5000 a year and the school can not even buy proper laptops, if going to go recommend toaster bath after first week for the most happiness.
