This is a great animal shelter. I am adopting two cats from here and the shelter people were quite nice. The way the shelter is set up is that when you walk in, there s a desk where people process and give you paperwork. To the left of that is a hallway with a bunch of rooms filled with animals. I went to the kitten room, which is the first room on the right. All of the walls in that room were lined with caves with kittens inside. When you re in the room, the shelter people let you open a cage and take out the cat inside. However, you can only take out one cat at a time. When you are picking out cats, the shelter people aren t in the room with you, thus leaving you to your own devices. After I looked at cats for a while, I left the room and got some informational paperwork about cats from the desk in the main area. After receiving that paperwork, I left the shelter and drove away. I gave this shelter five stars because I received good service. It s also located near roads US 6 and OH 101, which is convenient. However, you have to get off of those roads and drive through and industrial park to get to the shelter, which takes you in a big loop. The road in the industrial park isn t maintained that well either.

I adopted ( Sweet Pea ) I named her Daisy. I took her to my vet in Vermilion Ohio. For 3 months I had her and was told she had Kennel cough when I adopted her. Turned out after 4 visits to the vet and 5 antibiotics that she may have feline Herpes. The symptoms are like a horrible sinus infection. The day we looked at her she was fine. Two days later the day of adopting her we were told she had kennel cough. I took her to my vet and was never able to get her better. I want people to know she is the most adorable cat I have owned. However the Human society needs to be honest and disclose this to whomever may adopt her. I have all her records to prove that I am telling the truth. She may never get over the symptoms. She is adorable and was very much loved by us. The humane is rude for not disclosing that they were giving us a sick incurable cat. June 22nd 2019. Shane.

I enjoy their non kill policy. I enjoy donating items like bleach, Odoban, clumping kitty litter. A treat for the cats is to donate a container of Temptations. They also need decent towels. Of course. Food. I've gotten one of my dogs here. Please help. I have great respect for our Humane Society .

Great shelter! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Facility was spotless. I expected a "smell" - especially in a room full of cats/kittens but there was no odor whatsoever. They obviously put a lot of effort into keeping the shelter clean and it shows!

I love it here. The animals are lovingly cared for and they don't care about just finding the animals a home, they care about finding them a good home. Especially, there are adult cats that need good homes
