Went in for a balayage and had the worst experience of my life. Completely ruined my hair. Told me it would take 3 hours and I was there for over 6. I asked for a grey balayage but had told her I understood if I didn t look exactly like my inspo pics but I came out with botched bleached gold, blonde, pink and brown hair no grey at all.
They did not give me a refund or even a partial refund. Do yourself a favor and go to the Bethesda salon where all the good stylists from Hugo went to work. Do not waste your money here.

Went to see Rosa for a haircut and decide to fix my hair bc I had 3 different colors. She took her time and toned my hair so it looks more natural. She was friendly and kind along with her assistant. Her haircuts are amazing having thick hair is hard to get good layers but she did great job with my hair. I cannot wait to see her again for touch up.

Great service however there is a 15 percent charge of your total bill for covid 19 ppe... this should be indicated upfront to the customer...prices on site are just starting prices and it depends on your stylist..they charge differently. Either way, if you have a set budget or not ...its nice to know what you are going to pay.. I prefer to know in advance. Based upon this I may or may not return...not sure yet, pricey so if you have it make sure you do. ...But my stylist was great.

I have been a client for almost 20 years. Don't let the tattoos and rainbow hair fool you: they do all types of hair from cutting edge modern to classic. This family owned shop operates without a hint of pretentiousness. They have a diverse customer base and speak many languages in addition to English. They are laid back, fun and always emphasize healthy hair above all. I love coming here.

My daughter goes here to get her hair dyed fun colors. The staff are really artists and give you fabulous service. I highly recommend it.

I tried to love this place but I can't. The first time I went for a haircut only was amazing and I loved it. Then I went in for color a year later. They gave me purple when I asked burgundy. They told me it would fade to red which of course it never did. Then I went back in today for an undercut. The lady rushed me along and did not listen to what I wanted. I showed her a few pictures that I liked for the style and said she can choose any one she feels comfortable doing (although I don't think she heard me as she was handing me off to the lady who would wash my hair) I tried to explain that I also wanted a haircut but nothing dramatic as I like more of the "punk" styles. She gave me curls. I walked out today without saying anything because nothing could be changed now, and I am crying over how much I hate my hair.Below is what I asked for and what I got. I will not be coming back again.

Great place to get your hair styled and colored. Also, customer service and everything all around is wonderful. I love the stylist Erika at Hugo, she pays attention to detail and is such a nice person. I can always trust her with my hair!
