Once you complain, they retaliate. HR, Lab manager and General Manager have zero understanding of the words professionalism or decency. Hispanic older are preferred. Race is a factor in a lot of their decision making. The manger Tom, thinks everyone is dumb. He makes sure you know it too! Supervisors routinely throw people under the bus, even if they just hired you. You have been warned. This is the result of weak leaders.

I placed an order with my local optician and unbeknownst to me they sent my glasses to Hoya. That was over SIX WEEKS ago and I have yet to receive them. Three phone calls from me and at least that many from the optician results with different answers every single time.

I cannot believe that a company would choose to do business in such a haphazard way. Needless to say I ve cancelled the order with the optician and will have them submit my glasses elsewhere.

What a joke for a company.

I received a phone call from this number and a message was left. I was informed that legal action has been taken against me due to fraudulent activity associated with my social security number. Ididn't answer and I never will. I have reported this to local authorities .

Because my glasses were promised 2.5 weeks ago my optician has claimed that this lab is a victim of a RECENT ransomeware attack (circa late May or early April 2021). You may want to verify this before you take any action.Two weeks has turned into 4.5 weeks. I'm very disappointed and frustrated with the delay.

My review isn't about the workplace because I've not been there. My review is about a product they make. I've been using their lenses in my glasses for a good while now. My most recent set of lenses were less than 6 months old. I got a few paint speckles on the lenses while painting some outdoor furniture. I applied blue Palmolive soap to the lenses and let them soak for a while. Hoping it would help in the removal of the paint speckles. After a good soaking I rinsed the lenses and wiped them with a microfiber cloth. When I put them on it looked like I was looking through a shower door. Both lenses had a blurry streak right through the middle of each lense. I tried wiping them again. No change. After closer examination it appears that the coating on the lenses has de- laminated. I took my lenses to my optometrist. They agreed with me that this should not happen. They use Palmolive soap to clean all their patients glasses. They called the hoya lens manufacturing company. They refused to replace my defective lenses. These lenses cost me near $400. The lady at the optometrist felt bad about the company not standing behind their products. So she ordered me a set of replacement lenses from a different company at cost. Which is still $175. The Hoya lens company doesn't stand behind their products.
Sadly, I recommend asking for a different brand of lenses when purchasing expensive eyeglasses.

I got new lenses from another company.
I won't be contacting you because;
You had the chance to do the right thing when my optometrist called you and told you the lenses are defective.
Instead you chose to deny the claim.
Most of my family and some of my friends wear glasses. After they saw the defective lenses and heard about the refusal to replace them they all have decided to request another lens company in the future.
This may be a small price to pay and it may not make much difference in your business.
But it's a price you pay for not standing behind your products.

Tom is a racist. He s tall, but the smallest person you ll ever meet. Mary Lou Rosa is the worst HR manager. Only apply if you re okay with false accusations, incompetent managers, didn t graduate HS or are Hispanic.. Race is a problem. Good benefits though!
