Gem of a yacht club in one of Irelands most beautiful locations
Number 1 Sailing Club in Ireland! If you are looking to start sailing this Club is the place to be! It has all the amenities required, marina, cranes, a newly refurbished Clubhouse with bar and restaurant and ancillary services and the best coaches in the country to teach you how to sail! It's a relaxed place with none of the stuffiness some other clubs insist on! There is always a friendly welcome for everyone in HYC!
Nice restaurants around the yacht club. The yacht club has a good club life with many young people. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities suffer, which is unfortunate. As a sailor there are better alternatives around Dublin!
Amazing location, friendly staff. Great place for sailing.
The yacht club is very posh and it's hard to get in if your not a member.
Super home, very good atmosphere, very nice, and the site in general is to recommend, very lively fishing port, full of nice restaurants, stop to recommend, only flat access channel for the strong draft that does not not allow access at any time.
Can't go there anymore - no motorhome parking allowed
The yacht club is excellent and so is the Abbey Tavern for the awesome live music.
Fantastic neighbourhood location. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the exceptional customer service experience. Thank you for your professional and friendly service.
The marina office pay no attention to the dinghies and leave all the club boats in terrible conditions. The bar staff only serve the adults if the bar is busy. For the dinghy racing in the race officer doesn't show up most of the time and the rescue boat drivers don't rescue you.
It's exclusive. A Masonic lodge where strange festivals tale place involving lemons and bicycle pumps. It's exclusive, I can't say too much more. They are watching me.
Great day at the #WaveRegatta, Howth Yacht Club were so welcoming.
A good place to walk, only you have to dress warmly. Nearby there are cafes and restaurants :)
You can only enter it as member. We love coming here.
Very nice facilities. Heated changing rooms showers and toilets. All very clean.
Bar upstairs is very good as well.
Friendly service, good food combined with a nice view
Attended a meeting in HYC in glorious sunshine this evening, club sailing night..
Funny building. Nice environment where to host meetings. Could be nice if they included basic conference room setup like water so people is more comfortable.
Fantastic, Kind friendly inclusive people there.very welcoming and civilised organisation clean and great vibe
Food was well below standard, actually it was unacceptable. Staff very good and pleasant .
I'm a member of this club so I'd recommend to anyone looking to take up sailing to consider joining Howth Yacht Club.
You would be made very welcome to the club and have the opportunity to learn how to sail and make great friends.
Food is hit and miss. Very very slow. Bar staff very good but don't bother with the restaurant, food takes ages, frequently cold when it eventually arrives. Very disappointing
Great staff, great crack and sailing... What more would you.
The codes didn't work, good thing we could rent more cards to get in and out. Nice facilitys.
A great club, super location, great staff, great food and most of all excellent sailing facilities.
Nice club house but you have to be a member or like me was at a function
Large, aging, fully equipped marina with a boat filling station and friendly harbor masters. Good train connection to Dublin.
Fantastic Place for people from The mountains :-)
I was here for 2 weeks. I m from Russia and my grandparents are living in Ireland. I can say that this place is definitely great. I was studying yacht sport and I really enjoyed how did we do. There are 2 very beautiful islands near by. Also we saw a big war navy ship, that was absolutely unforgettable. So what I want to say is that u definitely have to visit this place because of instructors, sightseeings and views!
If you want to go sailing near Dublin is the best club to join. Great facilities and a huge fleet of various classes.
Great Yacht Club, fantastic views. Members only. But as always if you are a member of another Yacht club you can come. Also used a function place for weddings and funerals !.
Well kept establishment with fantastic views over the sea
One of the most active Sailing Clubs in Ireland. With year round racing.
Had great time 1 of my best mates got married today and back to there great day
Howth yacht is a lovely modern place to while a few hours.
The room we use for winter set dancing classes on Wednesday nights is perfect. Lots of windows and doors to let in light and cool sea air with clear views of the marina and boats and a springy wooden floor. Friendly bar staff for the refreshments that follow.
Of course when you are in involved in boat races here in ye summer the place is heaving with sailors and banter. Wonderful
you can park campers on the west pier, great place lots of restaurants, and shops, lots of walking trails and cycling paths into the city of Dublin
Great place and superb facilities. Deserves praise. .
