Very nice, longstanding Houston hotel and meeting place. Excellent location.

The ultimate in luxury. Everything is the best here from service to amenities.

Had a social at a friends that lives in the Houstonian apartment

We loved it. Its very close to shopping and entertainment but is tucked away nicely. We did the concierge room and wouldn't do it any other way from now on. Great for the kids during the summer as well.

I was in Hoston for a week and stayed here. At first it was ok, but after a few days the cleaning lady did't do her job very well.

stayed in a suite, very nice large room, pools are amazing and the hot tub was better than I could have dreamed

We enjoyed our stay very much! Very quiet. The beds and pillows were a plus.

Great gym and pool. Property is kept in amazing shape and right in the center of Houston.

wish I could give a 2.5, but bc of our masseuses I'll round up. Skip to the bottom for the summary.

So the good things are:

-The grounds are beautiful (like a hidden garden in the city)

-The hot stone massages were excellent (did a couple's massage)

-They provide robes and sandals for you to relax and enjoy the atmosphere

-The butter cookies were good

And that's where it stops for us. The restaurant, "The Olivette", was closed for remodeling, so I can't judge that. However, it would've been nice for a heads up bc we were hungry thanks to "saving our appetites" for their over advertised restaurant.

More points of contention:

-The advertised shower & jacuzzi is only for a specific spa package (to the tune of nearly $600)

-Even if we did get that package to see where we would've showered & sat in a jacuzzi together was tiny & disappointing

-There is no co-ed place to sit in a hot tube or sauna as a couple

-I've been to Spa Trellis before w/ family, & I had cantaloupe juice for the 1st time... this time no cantaloupe juice, in fact none of their special juices were served

-We were told no electronic devices were allowed upstairs...half the ppl had their phones out, and one person even took a phone call INSIDE

-Because it was so crowded there were no seats for awhile... and none of the staff tried to remedy that by, oh you know, bringing out extra chairs!

***So in summation, unless you're staying at the hotel Spa Trellis isn't a great place to go as a couple.(Funny bc my husband noted that there weren't many men there... I see why) Second, yes it was Mother's Day weekend and the place was super crowed....but in our opinion those are the times when a business in the service industry should step up the most. I probably won't go back, nor recommend to ANY couples.

The hotel is nice, in an old Texas money kind of way. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. You're in a quiet, secluded area, despite being so close to the highway. The staff is very professional and courteous.

I didn't take advantage of the pool and club services, but I still think the price was a little high for the room, parking, and daily resort fees.

We were upgraded to the concierge floor as part of our Visa benefits. This floor has a lobby with access to free food and drinks. The service is great and the staff tends to try and work with you even if you're being difficult. We ordered More

The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa is spectacular! The service is superb, food is exquisite and the room is very inviting. We are celebrating our sixth anniversary and we are now thinking about coming here annually. It has been an incredible weekend at a wonderful hotel.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Tribune. Service was perfect, food was amazing, and portions were very satisfying. Covid precautions exceeded my expectations (which are high) with tables an average of 10ft apart, screening forms, rotating out used pens, masks, sanitizer, the whole 9. The scenery is breathtaking, especially in the evening. This place will not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and treat yourselves to a night out.

Wonderfully quiet and reserved. Good change of pace form the regular hotel chains. Service is outstanding.

The best part of the Houstonian has to be the friendly and attentive staff- they are rockstars! The quality of service, the restaurant and the fitness facilities are all top notch! The only downfall for me was the rooms- which I was disappointed to find quite dated and not on par with the name and service the hotel provides. The rooms were very clean, but appeared quite old. No blow dryer in bathroom and no bottles of water in the room.

It's the Houstonian, it's perfect. Hands down the nicest place in Houston for health and fitness. It's the Cooper Clinic of Houston.

We had the most beautiful time at the Houstonian for our anniversary weekend. The staff was phenomenal as was the accommodations and food. We highly recommend the Houstonian for any type of event.

Attentive staff, spacious rooms outstanding fitness club. Then down service was unexpected and appreciated. Made the room very cozy after a long day of conferences. Tribute was a nice change of plane with plenty of different selections. The bathroom was small and hard to maneuver in, definitely not meant for two at the same time. Shower was nice work plenty of hot water. Would highly recommend if wanting to stay in Houston... But with a feel of being in a lucious Forrest.

I've had several events hosted on their ballroom. Absolutely excellent staff. Friendly, helpful, professional, polite service. Absolutely recommend going even if it's just for brunch.

We went to wedding reception and it was lovely. They had nice event space - although the cocktail area outside of the hotel ballroom was a bit tight. The food was good and the service was superb.

Great hotel. Beautiful building with lovely rooms. Also has amazing accommodations such as pools, courts, and spas.

This place is wonderful: not just because of its peaceful and green setting, not just because of its warm and spacious areas, not just because of its comfortable and well-appointed rooms, not just because of its fine dining -- all of these things makes it a great place to stay, but what makes it stellar is that each and every member of the staff makes you feel like that you are the only guest staying with them.

The immaculate grounds that make you feel like you are on a beautiful escape to the five star service this is a great Houston hotel. The facilities such as the pool and kids club are great for families. A membership here is pretty pricy but well worth it and perfect for families.

Time to update the rooms . Asked for a portable bed and they wouldn't let us have one.

Attended FIT conference at hotel. Very nice venu. Clean restrooms and helpful staff. Very convinetly located near many restaurants and shops.
