Houstonian Hotel Health Club and Spa Review

It's beautiful and stunning.

The Houstonian took all Covid measurements I to consideration. From Covid Forms, gloves, hand sanitizer on every desk, masks on every employee, valet, house keeping. Etc. They even had us scehdule the reservation for the resort pool they have, it was very quiet, secluded and plenty of space for everyone to be in and enjoy themselves without feeling cramped at all.

Room service came and made my daughter's bed from the pull out coaches and made sure we were comfy and situated before leaving.

Everyone knew my name! It was as if Im a regular already. It was the little things from the chocolate on the pillow to an easy check out. Everything came out great and we will definitely be back,

Had our company Christmas party there. Great place, very clean and good service. Everyone who works there that I encountered were very professional even down to those who cleaned the tables. Veey enjoyable time.

I went to play tennis there on one of the few indoor tennis courts in Houston. The facilities are very nice and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful

A little pricey, but well worth it. They have a very nice exotic set up. Eveeything was top notch, from the valet, front desk, room service and bar, the service was phenomenal.

Nice atmosphere. Staff was very polite. Bed was super comfy. Pool was welcoming.

Great gym, friendly staff, clean space, good classes, amazing pool. Cell phone reception is poor in certain parts of the facility.

Very confusing to reach the hotel with roundabouts and very dense foliage especially at night. More signage and lights, please! I have 77-year-old eyes.

I worked here (The Houstonian) for almost two years. I met the most great, humble and helpful people. I learned a lot from them. I recommend this place as a family home (where you ALWAYS want to return back), and where you always want to be.

Beautiful venue. I've been once before for an outdoor wedding, and again this time to pick up a food order from the hotel restaurant. Food prices seemed pretty steep, but I suppose that's to be expected.

The Houstonian is lovely. While I am not a member personally, I visit with friends occationally and they staff is always professional and friendly. I took a spin class and the instructor was great. Equipment was top notch. The facilities are beautiful. The kale and beet salad is delicious. I guess the only downside is the cost, but as a guest that's not an issue!

Friendly staff beautiful and clean location close to downtown but not too close to get away from the city Rush.

I worked with Joan in catering sales for an event that I was hosting and I cannot say enough good things about her. It's clear the Houstonian has top notch service throughout their organization.

I'm not a spa kinda guy but it is pretty nice. The massages are good and the jacuzzi is very relaxing.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and professionally maintained and cleaned. The room even came with a fully stocked minibar. Fantastic all around.

They have an amazing selection of single malts at very reasonable prices.

Nice amenities and friendly staff. I only docked it a start because I left items in my hotel room after checking out. I called the hotel just an hour later and they said nothing was reported found in my room and nothing was thrown away.

Unfortunately, those items were left behind and I can't get them back, and the staff seemed very irritated that I was calling to inquire about my items.

I was not aware of the cost of my change in services. So I was very surprised when I checked out. I am disappointed that was not made more clear prior to my spa services.

I attended a company Christmas Party. The parking was difficult but it was average 150 people attending the party. So, it was more than normal amount of guest. The hotel did have staff located in different areas to help guide people. The hotel does offer valet if needed. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the season, lights and Christmas trees everywhere. The ballroom where the party was located, was also decorated. The serving staff was friendly. The food was delishes. In the parking garage a staff member thanked me for visiting and guided me out of the garage, which was nice. Overall all great experience.

it was a very pleasant stay with amazing facilities, however they are not very straightforward with the price, I spent 2 nights and paid an additional 100$ in taxes and fees(not included in original price)...

Stayed here Mothers a Day weekend. A glorious place fur a weekend retreat. Several pools to choose from with bar and food service available. The lobby was exquisite. The service impeccable. It was look going back in time when old world resort destination vacations were the fancy. They have a jogging trail that circles the property. Rooms were nice and lovely. I highly recommend a weekend stay here.

Went here for an anniversary getaway. Staff is very friendly. Facilities are nice, 3 pools, and entire health and fitness center all included in fee of overnight stay. Spa is there as well but has additional cost of you want to use the services. Will likely return again sometime.

Gone here only on business so I cannot speak to the hotel itself for a personal stay. The various seminars and work related events I've been to were always top notch. Beautiful ballrooms and great food being served. The staff for the ballroom and valet are always kind and courteous.

Nice. They cater to your every need. Pool is great for yourself and/or family. Nice food options. Plenty to do here. Nice walking trail. Beautiful, wooded setting.

The bar and restaurant are both fantastic. I have not stayed as a guest myself but family members always give rave reviews. The decore is awesome!

If you go to the bar, I highly recommend the 'Her Calling Card' cocktail, it's to die for!

Beautiful hotel and campus tucked away near the galleria. Concierge service is top notch. Staff was simply amazing. The pool area is quite the place to lounge on a hot day.

This experience was so special to me. My husband got us a couples spa day as a surprise for my birthday. I had never had a professional facial or massage done before. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in answering our questions and helping us feel comfortable. Tiffany and Robyn were amazing. I loved the different stone and wood details throughout the building. I loved that my husband chose the Holiday season to go, it is absolutely my favorite decor season. The fact that we were unplugged from technology made it a greater experience. It was weird at first not knowing what time it was or not taking pictures but it definitely helped us enjoy it better. It was an unforgettable experience.

Overall great experience. Will definitely return! Pool is amazing, staff was fantastic, rooms were smaller but really nice. Didn't eat at the restaurants but I hear they are really good.

For warn you a glass of wine at the bar (house) is $18.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! We gone for our anniversary 2 years in a row. The spa is AMAZING!! I highly recommend!

Loved our stay at the Houstonian! The service here is fantastic from the first person encountered at the valet to each staff member we met throughout the entire stay. Our room was upgraded and the front desk offered to have a car take us to dinner. Highly recommend the concierge level. Our only regret was that we did not have more time here to explore the lovely grounds.

We've stayed there twice now. We have loved it both times. We will continue to choose The Houstonian whenever we stay in Houston.

The staff here are soo attentive and nice. The rooms were very nice and clean but the decor was a little outdated...some kinda vintage rustic southern mix. The fitness center and outdoor pool were great. Security will kick you out for skinny dipping after hours though.

We were here as guests for a wedding. The buffet was over the top outstanding.
We didn't spend the night, but the place was very impressive.

Went to Trellis spa for a deep tissue massage. Amenities were nice, staff very polite, and the massage therapist did a phenomenal job!
