Houston Escape Room Review

Booking the appointment was easy. Upon arrival we were greeted by an agent. Agent Apollo was amazing from beginning to end. He s very knowledgeable more than anything he loves his job. We did the Scarlet Scam room it was such a rush and totally exercises your mind. The most important thing was we had fun and again Agent Apollo was the best motivating and encouraging us from the briefing room to have fun. Totally worth it, and will be going again when back in Houston!!!

Creative, good price, fun for the whole family...kinda

This was fantastic fun and we escaped with five minutes to spare. Agent Ocean was a great help. Would definitely go again.

Visited today (my first time at their new location! my first ever visit was at their old location when they first opened 3 years ago) and had a really great time! The production value was great for our room! It was very well decorated/"decked out" and the clues and hints were challenging but didn't feel impossible! Would definitely recommend to groups of friends/families/corporate team building lovers, and I'd love to come back and try another room!

I had a blast on date night! The tasks where challenging but attainable with some team work.

This is my first yelp review. This place was such a rip off and so bad I have to make a review. For 30 dollars per person you will receive an awkward person sitting with you in a room playing on his phone. They will be giving you Clues in the room while you solve puzzles that lack creativity and excitement. The first episode should give us insight on how the rest of other room quality should pan out. However, we were stuck in one room with cheap props that could be bought from a garage sale and thrown in with no construction whatsoever. The puzzles seemed as if they googled how to build an escape room on YouTube. I have done escape rooms all over the nation and I haven't been so disappointed.

I took my BPA Students on a team building field trip. We had a good, awesome, crazy, fun, confusing, adventurous, exciting experience. I will return.

This escape room was great! We had two people with us that had never done an escape room before and they were impressed. The puzzles took work and were fun! I have done a lot of escape rooms and this one definitely held up to being a good one!

We did a corporate event here and we had a great time. The rooms are challenging and fun and encourage teamwork and creativity. Would highly recommended for any team building or friends and family fun nights

I got this gift from my daughter for Christmas. My family and I had a fantastic time there! We were paired with another family and worked so well together. It was hard, but so fun!

Agent Hypnotic said to lay it all out there... soooo, first off, I definitely recommend!!! I had so much fun! The room for sure tests different aspects of thinking, patience, and ability to work with others! If there is one thing I could change (MY OPINION) would be for there to be an order given on where to start, or how to start... I ve never done an escape room, neither had any other of my friends, so when we walked in, we had no idea where to start or what to do. We were looking at a clue that couldn t be completed without 4 other steps that we needed to be done before it. If it wouldn t have been for the clue cards & the assistance of the agent I don t think we would have had a clue what to do... and sure those cards serve their purpose, but I felt like there should have been more to help. Now that you have completed this, find ________, *inserts riddle* then you will unlock your next clue. We d complete a puzzle and then be left lost not knowing at ALLLLL what to do with it.. don t get me wrong, YESSSSS there were some things we got (which was exciting) but there were some things that, I said to myself, um, how would I have known to do that? (WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE AGENT) I don t want to ruin it for those reading so, I don t want to give specifics... but for me & my group I think we could have done better if there where clues of an ORDER in which to go in. Nonetheless, Agent Hypnotic was great. My group had fun! I definitely recommend!

Awesome experience. It was fun. The puzzles are logical and are at a good difficulty level so that the experience is not hindered by complexity but still gives the rush on solving.

Had a great team outing - we all had so much fun, we definitely would like to come back before the end of the year.

While we enjoyed our visit, we felt the theme was not as well put together as other rooms we've been to. We also preferred multiple room experiences, whereas this was a lot of clues in one room. I plan on going to other Escape places, but I'm not sure I would return here.

I mustered up the courage to go and had a blast. I didn't even know the people in my group but strangers soon became vital teammates. If your thinking about going, stop thinking and just go. You won't regret it.

I've heard so much about this place from friends and family and decided to pay a visit on my birthday. Great experience! Highly recommend!

Loads of fun! We visited as a team outing from work. We escaped! I highly recommend that you use take advantage of all opportunities to get clues from the staff. I'm not sure the puzzles are solvable without clues. Also, if possible, split the team up into working on different parts of the puzzle. Don't have everyone working on the same thing. Will definitely do HER again!

This is such a fun concept. Although, it was fun, it would've been a blast had my bf and I not been mixed with a group of 6 that were together. My bf was really good at searching but the other females were pretty controlling with the finds. They even called out the bossiest female in the bunch. We did have fun for the most part, I just know it would've been much more fun had we been with our own bunch. Clues can be very challenging, to say the least. So it is definitely a good thing to have some real thinkers in the group! Or you'll never leave the room! But you do have only an hour to solve, so be prepared to get those wheels turning!

We went with family over spring break and H.E.R. was great! The Countdown room was challenging and fun and we almost got out 10 seconds more is all we needed. Agent Solare started us off with nice instructions, provided good clues when we redeemed our cards, and nudged us in other helpful ways. The variety of clues, technologies and elements used were cool and creative. This is my third escape room in three cities, and it was the best yet.

I went today as a school field trip and as my first time going to the escape room, it was amazing. I will admit it looked like kind of a shady building but the inside was super cool!!! The episode/room I went into was so much fun and it encouraged team work, focus, and open minds to listen to everyone and of course attention. It was a challenge I won't lie but it takes everybody to put their minds together and think outside the box. If you need to build a team, going to the HER will encourage them to work together.

Do this before you die! Great staff, clean facility, challenging and fun! I will do it again.

It was fun but the guy that helps you stays in the room with you. Makes it a little weird and uncomfortable to move about.

I really liked the room "Mo's safehouse". One thing different with this escape company was the person is in the room with you rather that having cameras everywhere. It's a lot more personal and I liked it. Also, for a little extra they will critique a group for team building exercise which is really nice. Very friendly and willing to work with you to meet your requests.

It's also funny to see how your co-workers or team think when the clock is against you. remember that communication is key and you will escape THE ROOM!

Team Building Blast! I have brought 3 teams to the Houston Escape Room in the past year. The staff gave me knowledgeable insight on which rooms would best serve my teams. Both Agent Ocean and Agent Blue Heeler were excellent in discretely helping us make connections. I am amazed by the minds behind the CountDown and Dark Side of the Moon. When movies and bowling become your typical go-to weekend activity, consider the escape room concepts. They are a blast. It's a great place to take friends, family or colleagues for team building. It is truly unique and really put your brain to work. I went with a group of friends and had an awesome time. The puzzles and clues are well thought out. It gets a bit hot in these rooms but I am sure it varies per location. Otherwise, a fantastic new adventure for you to tackle. Definitely grab some friends and check it out.

Wife brought me here for my birthday and it was my first time ever experiencing an escape room. My family and I had so much fun!! Definitely recommend it for parties or group activities!

It was something new to try and actually pretty fun. The puzzles are a good interactive way to do some mental excercises even with strangers. We did the first episode and completed it. That was really surprising considering we thought we were going in circles for the first 30 min. Can't wait to try the next episodes!

This place was so much fun!! We came here for a 30th birthday celebration and it was definitely worth it! We had Agent Blue Heeler, she was awesome and so helpful with the clues and the riddles that she gave us. And we escaped! I would highly recommend this place!

I had to come on here and give this place a 5 star rating . After not being able to attend my original booking, due to a death in the family , they worked with me to attend another day. The staff was very friendly and it was a cool experience . I recommend this place !

We were a group with 2 young boys, 8 and 11 year olds that had a lot of fun. Because of their ages, we did the option of unlimited clues. The agent was very friendly and allowed us to go crazy trying to find the clues. Only after a while of struggling were hints offered. Highly recommend this Escape Room for families.
