This hotel is amazing! Our room was so nice that we had to verify that we had the right one! Turns out they upgraded us to the Capital One Suite and forgot to tell us. Noone will ever complain about that!
The whole room is concrete with painted walls, the floor is polished. If you find the floor too cold for your liking, they offer slippers, just call the front desk. Robes for each guest - if you want to keep it they will just add it to your room charges - there is a price list in the room which includes the mini bar. Our room had a balcony with an amazing view of Camp Randall Stadium. Oddly though, smoking on the balcony is forbidden (you will even sign an agreement), but hey, they totally trust you with a stove. :/ Speaking of the stove, the kitchenette is stocked with full sets of dishware... But, if you want to use the stove, you would need to call the front desk for pots/pans. Will they supervise you while using them? I don't know, but the whole "no smoking signature agreement" makes me think it could be a possibility. Pop quiz! Where is the fire extinguisher located in your room? Ahhh, I'm pretty sure I have a picture of it here somewhere....
And then there was the bed. The bed was very comfortable - sleep all morning comfortable. Love the linens. Soaking tub, so relaxing. The shower was like 3 different showers in 1. There was the rainfall head, the massage head (8 jets, 2 rows of 4) and a wand sprayer, all with multi-pressure options. And you can use them all at the same time. The bathroom has a privacy door for the toilet, surprised they didn't mount a TV in there. No, really, the setup is so comfortable that I could seriously see putting a TV in there. Moving on... There's also plenty of room for your luggage - 2 closets, ample counter space in both the kitchen and bath. And there's even a mini fridge, stocked with various drinks. Considering they will take care of your laundry and bring you groceries, you could realistically never have to leave your room. But you should or you'll miss out on the restaurant - The Wise.
The Wise had a delicious, yet light, happy hour food menu, with plenty of (food) complimenting drink varieties. And all of their food / drinks are sourced from local companies, of which the staff knew a great deal about. Entertaining and educational - That IS wise.
They also have such great staff - yes, you Bree, for one. They were so accommodating and friendly that I didn't even want to leave for the concert we were there to see! I only wish I'd had time to have breakfast there. Oh the mimosas I would've enjoyed! I didn't actually get pictures of the bar or the outside of the building, but here are the few that I did get. ENJOY!
