Hotel royal Lion Review

Great service and food. Clean comfortable room and on site parking.

The front section of the hotel is old and nice. King Edward VII is there. That been in the newer section at the back. Breakfast is very good as is dinner. Car park at back. Cramped but allways found a place. Couple of minutes walk to the old centre and the beach.

Stayed for one night whilst in the area and everything was great again. I stayed there several years ago and loved it so much that I stayed again. I really like the place. Very clean room, my bed was made so well it was impressive. Breakfast was delious. Bonus is the parking.

Did not stay at this hotel but came for an evening meal at the Oak Room restaurant which was fantastic and delicious, with a live pianist for music which made the evening even better. Came back for lunch at the Inn on the ground floor and they managed to fit us in for a light lunch of sandwiches and such. Delightful all round on the food.

Providing a commanding presence on Broad. St., this is a premium hotel in the heart of Lyme, complete with indoor pool and all amenities one would expect. This does not come cheap but neither is it stuffy. Anyone can stop in for a lunch or a spot of tea by the fire. Highly recommended after power shopping.

Staff always extremely helpful and polite . With its own car park the hotel has a great central location for visiting other towns , beaches and coastal walks .
We have stayed in two different rooms . Both were spacious , nicely furnished and had clean well maintained bathrooms.
Dining room is lovely and the food has always been delicious . Breakfast is varied and plentiful. The swimming pool , Jacuzzi and sauna are definitely an added bonus .

Friendly staff and great customer service in the restaurant and bar. I don t know why our room didn t get cleaned for 4 days we stayed there neither did we get a change of towels. Otherwise great location 2 minutes walk to the beach.

From the moment we checked in we found all the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very nice and a big choice on the menu.
Very traditional hotel and so close to the sea front.
Thanks to all the staff for looking after us all so well. Nothing was too much trouble.

Wonderful food within a beautifully historic ambience. The friendliest and most attentive staff (especially Linda and Sharon) meant that we had a memorable evening and we are looking forward to visiting again. Thank you for your warm hospitality. Xx
