A place that leaves you breathless

Whenever I come to Sardinia, I can't help but go for a swim at the Rocce Rosse beach. It is absolutely fantastic. A corner of Paradise

Particular and enchanting place at sunset, pity that due to uneven ground you can only see the initial stretch ... I liked more the red rocks of Cala Moorish ...

A really nice shore with these red rocks in the sea!
Ideal for taking pictures and relaxing.
There is a large free parking.
It was moderately visited with us.
Through one rock goes a hole which is often used as a photo backdrop.

It is difficult to give an evaluation of this place: on the one hand these red porphyry rocks (which almost seem to catch fire at sunset) and the wonderful body of water in which they are reflected are a natural heritage of rare beauty. On the other hand, the total neglect and the state of abandonment in which they find themselves do not allow them to be fully appreciated. The municipality should redevelop the area which is always very dirty and too dark at night. The idea of holding concerts in the square in front of the rocks is nice (Red valley Festival etc.), but usually the audience has their backs to the rocks and in any case these are not illuminated at night.

Interesting rock formations ESP for those with interest in geology, volcanic rocks etc. Bit of a hike to tortilo if you're walking!

Located just behind the port of Arbatax, it is a small paradise, a paradisiacal sea and rich in marine flora and fauna.
The rocks offer a lot of space to settle down with towels, the umbrellas are very difficult to place, so it is more recommended for sunbathers and in general those who are not in the first sun given the vast exposure to the sun.

The rocks themselves are beautiful features ..... but the place is very much left to itself .... Too sad! There seems to be construction going on, but I was several years ago and everything was the same. It should be enhanced a little more, perhaps with benches overlooking the sea, a bit of flowers, would make everything more suggestive and relaxing

Evocative place, wonderful rocks that offer a unique view of the east coast, up to Pedra Longa. The square in front is undergoing (slow) redevelopment; the incivility of so many ruins, with the numerous waste, the natural beauty of the place.

Beautiful sandy beach with a turquoise sea. The sandy beach is very shallow and very fine. Ideal for families. The sea is crystal clear and nice and warm in August! Definitely visit if you are in Sardinia !!!

It is impossible not to be dazzled by the vision of these beautiful rocks overlooking the sea of Arbatax. The place where they are located, however, is quite sad.

Always at the top, magnificent place. Amoooo parking, well served by restaurants, bars and pizzerias.

It is an abandoned quarry, a parking lot, a landfill, a pigsty with an abandoned nightclub with the doors still open (it will remain there for life) and finally a brand new building never used and abandoned (paid for by us of course) located at the entrance and used as a latrine. This is the red rocks beach square of arbatax.

Interesting place, unfortunately the smaller car park is impossible to drive under the rocks. You can park your camper overnight. A bit like the desert. Next to the delicious pizza at Star 2, I recommend it!
