Hotel Riu Plaza Miami Beach Reviews

The ocean view was spectacular. The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was ok I just wish the bathroom dual sinks were inside the bathroom instead of right next to the door.
The beds were full size not queen size as the picture showed.

Also, for the price there is no coffee maker, no place to park so we had valet @$42 per day. You had to leave a $150 deposit for incidentals.

The price was just over priced and you did not get much for your money..only the view.

This hotel was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The pool was super relaxing but you have the beach right there to walk to. Not loud at night, room was very clean, and spacious. A great hotel if you come to beautiful Miami Beach.

It is on the beach with beach access, chairs, and umbrellas included. That is a plus for this hotel because the rooms are decent, but not exactly what I thought they would be from the way it appeared to be online. Another plus is that a huge breakfast buffet is included with your stay and it comes with lots of hot and cold options, plus beverages. The food was great from everything that I ordered, so that is another plus as well. The pool was large and was not overcrowded.

After reading the reviews, I thought I was going to lose out by staying here. Fortunately I was very wrong. First of all, I m a freak and will tear apart a hotel room searching for bedbugs before I put my luggage down or touch anything. The hotel and rooms were very clean, the beds were super comfy and the staff was excellent. When I arrived there was a problem with my door not locking after being closed, but maintenance was very quick and polite to repair. The breakfast was honestly really good and had many options. Even the eggs were real and fresh (which is hard to come by for continental breakfasts). The pool area was clean but could have used more seating. The only complaint I had was that only one elevator was working which was inconvenient at times.

Julio, whom worked the front desk at night, was extremely kind and compassionate. He was quick to respond when my friend and I notified him of a deranged man that followed my friend and I into the hotel from the street . Julio immediately took charge to ensure our safety. I felt protected by him. He also provided us with recommendations for leisure activities and gave tips for our next visit.

I would definitely stay here again. 10/10 recommend. Hopefully the elevator is fixed when I return.

The rooms were very clean. The housekeeping staff did a great job. The bed linens definitely need to be upgraded. They are unacceptable. The elevator needs to be fixed ASAP. A hotel this large can t function with one working guest elevator. The pool and beach access are awesome. The beach furniture needs to be upgraded and more beach umbrellas are needed for the number of guest. The beach staff are very lazy and show no enthusiasm like other hotels.

Paid a lot of money there was no microwave. The workers were very aggravated especially in the bar area located in the lobby. The restaurant manager was the nicest person there. Then because the whole place is ran by Hispanics they sent me my receipt in Spanish. I just think they need a break sometime

For what it cost and what we experienced, it was not a place I will be going back to. It was dirty in the front and the room. The elevator was broken so a hotel worth of people were waiting to get to their rooms with 1 elevator. However, the bar downstairs, the service was fire. We loved the bartender he took great care of us. Thank you for that. That is what got this review a 3 star instead of 2 stars.

Very clean and had very friendly staff. Patio bar was beautiful at night. We had a great view from the 10th floor!
