Hotel Grand Star Review

I swear by God I am currently in the Grand Star Hotel I swear by God, breakfast today, I saw the lips of the cafeteria and I spoke to Rsbshn and Mard Ali, and I ask Shou Aswilk Nfsttm Zbala Az Zour and asked the director to pay Bajer Yiji. God bless me this hotel. Psychological tired from the hotel A thought to Turkey, Tuo arrived or Yibi arrives advice does not book this hotel and God Ma Maqul martyr

I booked room with breakfast. We had already informed about our vegetarian and allergy based dietary requirements 2 months advance. The hotel management did not respond/confirm whether they would be able to provide the same.

Unfortunately the hotel could offer us only cofee and single fruit (out of platter of more than 40 items). Even after multiple request, they agreed to prepare as per our requirements but asked us to pay for it. Really disappointed with the hospitality. They do not believe in service to customer.

My experience was 2014 ..
- Reception was very poor
- The employees mostly have bad moods and exploiters. I asked for hot water and returned them to me with a laughing mockery, and they asked me for money to give me hot water.
- The rooms are very small and depressing
The elevators are very small
- Smell of garlic aisle
The room corridors are gloomy and their lighting is working with sound, meaning it is possible to reach the beginning of the corridor, which is almost dark
Bad experience I repeat

The hotel is well situated near Taksim Square and Istiklal Street, cleanliness and order medium but breakfast is less than average

Very bad hotel air-conditioned not working most of the time, zero cleanliness, zero service, zero services, Wi-Fi mo busy, unhelpful reception and bad handling

Poor breakfast dirty rooms uncomfortable beds and pillows poor wifii bad comunication with staff lacation is excellent

The location is good being the most visited place
But his services are bad
The kitten is alone, but it does not work often and can accommodate more than two people, and you will wait more than 5 minutes

These scenes for the attached pictures are from the side overlooking the Bosphorus, the Grand Star Hotel in Savoras is a clean four-star hotel and its breakfast is very good located very close to the famous Taksim Square, I recommend it to those who are satisfied with four stars because its location is excellent, its service is very good and its price is very appropriate, I highly recommend the rooms overlooking Of the Bosporus because it often renews

The worst hotel i have been.. no facilities at all in room.. ac doesn't work at all.. rooms are not clean.. staff is very rude.. breakfast not good.. plates & cups & not clean.. the worst part is toilets.. toooo small & with bad drainage smell..exhaust fan doesn't work.. very poor service... wastage of money..

The hotel's business that milk harbor tavern which was canceled an hour before our reservation for 10 people in the middle of the business should be preferred such infamy lakayitlig not seen !!

Very bad experience, we booked twin rooms on 24 Jun, approx 20 days before. On arrival we were given room on the ground floor which was like a bed placed in office, a big office table was in the room another room has entrance from the same room. Air-conditioner was all broken in one room. Very rude and unhelpful staff was on reception who has completely refused to change the room. On a argument which took approximately 1 hour he showed another room which was 3 level down from the lobby but can be said twin room. We didn't have any option but to accept that room. It is generally advised not to book that hotel as the management is very unprofessional and is not aware of hospitality ethics. Very bad experience.

it was good . It was clean it was satisfying. Just a little sad. But it's a good place

You have to pay for special cap for the swimming pool,poor breakfast and not that tasty and clean,mold in the shink. The stuff was polite and the hotel was well located. That's the only reason I ranked with 1 and not with no stars at all! haha!

Myself and my husband and in-laws stayed in the grand star hotel for 5 days and 4 nights. I honestly do not recommend anyone to stay in the grand star hotel. It was the worst experience for many reasons. First and foremost the staff ALL of the staff was very rude and made you feel unwelcome. They were not helpful. The cleaning services were terrible. They did not change our sheets for our whole stay. They did not change our towels, bathroom had mould everywhere. The fridge in the room had mould and smelt of mold. When you first enter the hotel a disgusting smell is the first thing that hits you. The breakfast is bland, no variety. There is no WiFi in the rooms only in the lobby. No iron either. I felt nauseated Everytime I entered the hotel. From personal experience I do not recommend this hotel.

This is not a 4 star hotel, it should be maximum 1, reception staff are rude impolite and barely speaks english, no daily room cleaning, everything old and smelly, no towels in rooms you need to call 6 7 times until somebody understand you and get you 1 towel for a dbl room. Breakfast so bad, no variety and fries are served for breakfast. Just one good thing about this place is the location.

Great very clean. The ones in the hotel management are very good, as a result, all the employees there, I think they hosted us in a really sincere and non-pretentious way because of the peaceful working environment the management gave them.

It is a terrible hotel.The airconditioning is not working.

Needs a lot of improvements in terms of internet, AC, and cleanliness. Rooms are really small, if you are claustrophobic I don't recommend it. However, the staff is great, they are cheerful and very helpful. If you are planning to spend only nights in it, it is okey.

Clean and great location, great breakfast, but the spa area was quite a flop - but that's why you did not fly to istanbul :)

Taksim itself is no longer recommended. Taksim has nothing to do with Turkey but has become an arabic quarter. We (my husband and I) were also spoken to in Arabic in every business although we are their compatriots. Even the shop windows are not in Turkish but in Arabic.
The hotel was a letdown. We held out for 4 days and then of course changed the hotel at our own expense. The cleanliness .. what is it? Bathroom full of mold. we asked you about it and you pretended not to see the mold. It is not cleaned every day. nothing works without slippers and socks.
but 1 star extra for breakfast. Wasn't much choice but was enough.

I had a superior triple room. It looked NOTHING like the pictures shown on the booking sites. It was much more worn out and dirty. I booked it to have a double and a single. I came and had three singles. This then revealed the dirt under the bed which they left and did not vacuum up. Not a good start!

I would disagree with some of the other reviewers. I think the rude staff is just because of the language issues. The staff for me were the best part. The guy working the door really made this stay great! However some of the reception staff can appear cold as they try to juggle 100 tasks at once and you feel like you only have 20% of their attention. There is also some language issues when it comes to English with some of the staff.

The rooms are a different thing all together! They could do with a clean but I would not say they are unacceptably dirty. The only unacceptable part for me was the mould in the bathroom which could be found between the tiles and in the door frame as you enter the shower. Likewise the beds and furniture need an update but they are not unacceptable. The carpets could really do with a clean though!

The breakfast is passable but not tasty. It is however fresh and plentiful with a good selection. The drinks however are really bad!

The air conditioning worked for me.

The elevator broke during the stay. Having 7 floors and no elevator is a killer!

The bathroom had 6 bottles of shampoo. 3 bottles of condition but no bottles of shower gel! Something which would have been useful! It also looked like it was a mix and match of shampoo bottles. Some from last year and some from this year!

I also had no internet in my room and the general reaction by the morning member of staff was that I must wait until 9pm and tell the staff then. He would not even note down my problem or tell them for me once they arrive! He also said it is a known and long running problem. So if you want internet, avoid here! The staff (especially the people who work the desk prior to 9am) are useless! I would like to say that Yunus tried his best to help solve all our problems, he was a star!

If location is important for you, this could be an okay place. The location is really great. However I would highly recommend you go to another place unless they do renovations.

If they don t any renovation I hope that they take the advice of me and some of the other reviewers. There is a few changes that they could do and this would make the place a LOT better!

The baddest hotel in Istanbul, all foods and drinks aren't allowed in the room, no one can visit you in your room even for one minute, rooms are very small, the service is literally 0, you can't stay in the cafe after afternoon.
Thankfully breathing is allowed in the room.

What an absolute disaster this hotel was. How can it be rated 4 5 stars is beyond me. No water no mini bar no kettle no gowns nothing in the room. Hot water was charged at 5tl per glass. Service was very bad no one helped us to our room. Breakfast was gross very unhygienic premises. Worst hotel I've stayed in. Doesn't even deserve 1 star. The only nice thing was the view from our balcony.

Rooms are not as in the photos, they are very narrow. I requested the room shown in the photo, but my request was rejected by saying that all rooms are full. Neither drink water nor kettle in the rooms. Only one glass of drink water is left on the day of arrival, and if you want water, water is sent to your room for 5 times the price. After seeing bugs in the room, this hotel is over for me

Relatively clean room, but it was so small i couldn't move, mini fridg was empty i was hungry and thirsty at 1AM when i got there and both kitchen and bar was closed I couldn't even drink a tea. The breakfast was no prize either. No warm meals except hardboiled eggs and awful old fries . They would charge u for scrambled eggs!!! I stayed at this hotel only because my taxi driver couldn't find the one I found in trivago and it was midnight and I was exhausted. Total waste of money.

We booked 1 double room and paid accordingly, when we arrived we were moved to a room which had 2 single beds.
When I asked the hotel about it, they didn't even take it up and only gave us the option of moving the beds together.
When we wanted to have it that way, unfortunately it did not happen over the whole 4 days despite daily reminders!

In addition, the air conditioning did not work at the high temperatures and we were promised to fix it for 4 days and to order the technician for it.
At the end of the song we got the number from the technician and had to run after it ourselves to supposedly get it done.
You couldn't even open the window at night because it was just too loud.

Then there were "little things" like:
Mold in the bathroom
- Breakfast from the day before
- Disastrous internet (you had to pay for better)
Ventilation in the bathroom / toilet defective

Conclusion: Please take this review seriously, it is just catastrophic !!!!!

The mess is dingy, the whole thing is stale in the mess, the staff has nothing to do with anyone.

I wasn't visit this hotel in my whole trip of Istanbul.

Bad place not recommended not clean and smells of humidity in the rooms and air conditioning is disabled most days of the year and the owners of the hotel will not invest in the improvement and renewal of the hotel

The location is excellent, with rooms overlooking the sea. Breakfast is not at all times air-conditioned

Very small rooms, breakfast is poor, air conditioning is not allowed. Parking place too expensive, we paid for 2 nights even though we only stayed one night. We just wanted to get away, we still haven't received the amount we paid too much today. We are out on September 20th, 2020 and today is October 8th, 2020.

Good but take room with sea view.. stuff friendly. Breakfast good. But maybe 3 stars not four

Very disappointing:
- we got first a room without airco and a very small window with view on pipes and a small yard. After asking 3 times if they could do something about it and getting the answer that it would be fixed the same day which never happened we had to shout to change room. The night manager shouted back that he didn't have any other room available. The same evening we wrote a review on Facebook very angry and it's only then that a manager answered us and offered us to change room right away. So basically the personnel of the hotel lied in our face and did nothing to change the situation until we shamed them on social media.
- it was written there was a free swimming pool but you actually have to buy a swimming cap to access it. Reason 1: hygiene they said. Well I have never seen that in any hotel... Reason 2 why they couldn't give swimming caps for free: too many people. Well again when you give shampoo, slippers and so on giving swimming cap for free that you could eventually collect back and wash doesn't seem absurd to me...
- the free WiFi is a lie too, it barely works and if you want high speed you need to pay extra
- No kettle available in the rooms. I have also never seen that in a 4-star hotel especially in countries where tap water is not drinkable.

I would never come back. We came on holidays to relax and we spent the first days of our stay frustrated and tired because we couldn't sleep well because of the temperature of the room.

To finish on a positive note:
- some people in the personnel were friendly even though English skills could be improved as we could barely communicate with some people of the staff.
- the decoration of the rooms was quite nice.
- when we asked for a kettle we got one the same day.
- the view on the terrace is very nice.
- the hotel is located right in the center next to taksim square.

Small quack at the beginning, the address indicated on booking is not the right one. I lost 2 hours in circles to find the exact address with the help of locals. Flat on the reservation before it is rectified after

The Positive point is just the view! the breakfast is not good, the rooms are not clean AT ALL!! and the behaviour of the personnel is not nice. I don`t suggest this hotel to anyone! And this is the Pic of bloody Blanket.

Arrived early in the morning at around 5 .. Traveling with 3 kids . Said book in only at 2.. We asked for another room in the meantime that we could pay extra for they refused and said we had to wait for the manager. During that time we sat n slept in foyer hotel.. Whilst they had altercations with other guests.. They were unhelpful and rude and could not be bothered.. We staying here for 3 nights not looking forward to it !

A very bad experience to stay here, at Google it is 4 star hotel but facilities in this hotel is like 2 star , rooms are not compatible , noisy rooms , you can listen what is going on outside or in your neighbours room , staff is too rude, breakfast is not good ,swimming pool is like bath tub , over all I give one star to them just for restaurant they have .

Pathetic hotel... Didn't delivered what they promised. The staff is rude and non cooperative. The picture shared of the rooms are mis leading.
I will not recommend this to anybody.
We were given dirty blamnkets and when I told them to replace they took so much time to respond to the request.
