I visited it in 2009, it was in a terrible state, I came back this year (2017) I did not recognize it it has been metamorphosed, a radical change of course much better than before.
Very clean, I consider it among the best five stars in Algeria I hope it will be able to keep its shape for several years in the future. I strongly recommend it, even the prices are attractive. It is an ideal place to have a dominant view over the bay of Algiers.

Although the hotel has been renovated ... The staff is remote and very no indication as to how to go to this or that place .... You have to ask several times ... I say: bof

The view from Aurassi is amazing. The service is outstanding.

Excellent place to stay in Algeria. The only problem was no electric appliances in the room (not allowed to have/use iron or heating kettle in the room), otherwise its very nice place to stay.

Hotel in Algiers, impressive its location, construction (1978) state of conservation. The architect was ahead of his time. Unique view of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.

Room overlooking the bay of Algiers, very pretty! The rooms are nice, big, good bedding, the service of the hotel is good overall. 4 stars instead of 5 because I have no other reference in Algerian in terms of hotel (I saw better elsewhere for cheaper for example), and I'm not that we can smoke in some indoor places. The wait at the counter (to pay) was also very long when there was only one person in front of us.

I never posted a comment on the internet to give feedback on an experience, but this time it's stronger than me!
I want to share my misadventure at the El-Aurassi hotel where I keep a detestable and regrettable memory of my passage (4 nights for a honeymoon stay).
I do not understand how they could have managed to reach this state of mediocrity and chaos for supposedly a 5 star hotel. In fact, not a day went by without incivility on the part of the staff or an unfortunate event that spoiled our stay and fueled our dissatisfaction.
When booking, I was promised that I would have a little surprise in the room seeing that it will be a wedding night. Promise kept, we were entitled to a room in a dismal and messy state where the carpet was not cleaned and the bins were not emptied. Not to mention the disgusting windows and curtains. Icing on the cake, there was an electrical ground in one of the lamps.
During the complaint, I was entitled to indifference or even contempt on the part of the staff who embody mediocrity, amateurism and incompetence, where the word "helpful" does not exist in their dictionary. As proof, the electrical ground was not repaired until the day before our departure.
Room service was no better, frankly, cold coffee, spoon and sugar missing, the valets who talk like thugs, proud and psychopathic, we would have seen everything with them .
Another very serious event in my eyes which illustrates the incompetence of the staff for a 5-star hotel: I asked for a phone charger from the valet who brought me breakfast, the valet thinking that I was alone in the room, came back to call the reception without asking for my authorization. He took me by surprise while my wife was in the room without her veil. I understand he was in good faith and he wanted to do me a favor. Nevertheless, this act witnessed to a proven amateurism.
I would not recommend this hotel even to my worst enemies. They managed to ruin my honeymoon stay!
