What a fantastic hotel. I've been coming here for many years and now I think it's time to write a nice review. Beautiful rooms, very clean, breakfast buffet is super good. Dinner is also very good. Staff is very friendly and very sweet. The bar is also cozy in the evenings. But there is also a quiet area for when you want to retire. Sauna and swimming pool are also beautiful. I can definitely recommend this hotel.
What a wonderful holiday! A very nice hotel with large clean rooms, and a lovely relaxation area. Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff with a high level of service and a personal approach. The restaurant served wonderful breakfast and dinner. The hotel is right next to the cable car and skiing and the views are fabulous. More Swedes should go here!

Great hotel. We have been going here for many years as of now and it is a really welcoming place for us. We are always accepted with open arms when we arrive and the customer service is great as well. Good food in the restaurant and the clean up crew also does a really good job.

Fresh and clean family run hotel with a perfect location right next to the ski lift. High standards of service with attentive and genuine staff. The food served was by far the best we ate in Gerlos and there was no problem arranging vegan options. Reasonable prices in both the resturant and bar, particularly by Swedish standards. Highly recommended!

Neat hotel, clean rooms that are kept tidy every day. The breakfast is good but monotonous. The pool is lovely and the location excellent. The owner / owner against us very unfriendly. A reason for us, unfortunately, not to return to this beautiful hotel.

Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful hotel with all the luxury for a relaxing holiday. There is a cozy (coffee) bar, nice swimming pool and sauna, possibility for massage, a heated ski room and the gondola lift is right next to the hotel.
I also really like the food, both breakfast and dinner are made with care and especially fresh!

Nice accomodation, combination of traditional interior (e.g. beautifull woodsculpture in the dining room) and modern elements that creates a pleasing atmosphere. Large room (we choose one in the 'extention' part), bright with clean bathroom, and terasse. We appreciated the personal 'emphang', always friendly and considerate. After great walks in the beautifull Zillert-tal region, we enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool and relaxed in the welness facility. We started the day with a healthy breakfast (great buffet choice) and had excellent meals in the evening (very tastefull, with beer or wine from Austria).

It is a modern hotel and also in a nice place delicious full breakfast and a super cute dog and friendly staff the staff can also speak Dutch and there are many different rooms one is more expensive than the other !!
Superb hotel at the beginning of Gerlos main street! Upon arrival, the car can be temporarily parked in front of the hotel, just check in and unload! After checking in, we received an access pass for the parking garage right next to the hotel. So free parking every day, great! The parking garage is also a large Intersport store, pharmacy and a gondola!
It is so perfect that the hotel is next to the gondola, so up the mountain is done in no time! You will be transported to the top in the wonderfully covered gondolas! Please note, do not get off at the intermediate station.
The hotel has Dutch owners, so staff speak good Dutch and are super nice! The breakfast at the hotel is excellent, everything is ready from the buffet. Sandwiches, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, various cheeses and so on. Finished off with a delicious cup of coffee!
The hotel also offers a wonderful wellness! The swimming pool is phenomenal, wonderfully relaxed overlooking the streets of Gerlos with the soft snow that seems to meet you. The pool is not very warm but offers everything you could expect!
We also enjoyed a wonderful massage that is given in the hotel. What could be better than getting zen after a tired day of skiing during a delicious massage!
All in all, a must! We will be back for sure.
Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Nice pool and steam bath. After skiing you can take a nice massage from the masseuse, who also speaks Dutch.
And the best this year: there is a new ski lift right next to the hotel with parking (garage). Wifi throughout the hotel !!

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast is great. The rooms have a great view and nice beds but have open bathrooms, can be a problem for some people. There's a swimming pool, playroom and a massage salon.

Very clean, modern and hospitable family run hotel with different generations working together to provide the best experience. Spa and wellness brand new and really lovely. Gerlos ski area is very well connected with modern lifts. Would go back tomorrow.
We were from Friday to Sunday in the hotel edelweiss. Family with 2 children 2 and 6 years. We stayed in the "older" rooms. The rooms were very clean and nicely equipped. Especially a young waitress (she also made a reception) was very nice, courteous and gave us great tips for excursions. The senior boss was also very nice. A little less nice, a bit annoyed was (probably) the junior boss. The dinner can still be described as a 4-course menu as the salad buffet for me is not a full course, we missed the starter (there was always soup). The food for the kids was also not imaginative, spaghetti with tomato sauce and chicken nuggets with fries .... Yes that's it (we were asked if there would be a short noodle for the kid ... but NO).
Another negative was the temperature of the swimming pool, was very cold.

The Hotel Edelweiss (nr135) in Gerlos gave me and my 15 year old son a fantastic holiday in terms of accommodation, activities and attractions (Aug 2014)
Moreover, the high quality of all aspects of the hotel was surpassed by the warm honest friendliness of all the staff and their skill at making us feel at home, and in which they have achieved great success.
In my 54 years this is the first hotel of which I can say that there is absolutely nothing to criticize and the expectation is therefore to spend a nice blissful time here again next year, Hotel Edelweiss can therefore continue to the fullest recommend, and .... they speak Dutch / Flemish so that's nice and handy.

Visited the Hotel Edelweiss for the 2nd time and again everything was up to perfection, this family hotel offers everything a holidaymaker is looking for and desires.
Everything fits so beautifully in one, delicious varied kitchen something for everyone, extensive fresh breakfast, cozy sitting areas, free WiFi and great beds.
Very clean, modern, bright and spacious rooms with shower, TV, safe, terrace and sofa.
Hotel Edelweiss in Gerlos also has an excellent central location in terms of sights and activities.
In 2016 the Hotel will certainly be able to count on our visit again and my 16-year-old son also had a great time here ..... a recommended and top hotel

For the 2nd time visited Edelweiss and again everything was superb to the last detail, this family hotel offers everything a vacationer can desire.
Everything fits together perfectly so beautiful, tasty varied cuisine for all tastes, extensive fresh breakfast, cozy lounges, free wifi, spacious diningroom-bar-lounge, safe parking
Very clean modern bright and spacious rooms with shower, TV, safe, terrace, sofa and great beds.
Also in terms of attractions and activities Hotel Edelweiss in Gerlos has an excellent central location.
They speak several languages English, Dutch ....
2016 the Hotel definitely can count on our visit again.
Also for my 16 year old son it has been a super holiday again this year .....

Great location very centered on the things you can do. You don't have to drive very far to find something to do. A fantastic pool and spa area. Nice bar with good service. Rooms have a good size and if you want two rooms for you and your children it is possible as they can open one between the rooms. At breakfast there was not the biggest selection but it was ok. Will a hundred percent suggest it to family or friends to visit Gerlos.
A beautiful family hotel directly at the ski lift. Especially delicious is the gourmet menu which is included in the half board.

-Breakfast, lack of space for all hotel guests, inadequate and insufficiently provided.
-Rooms were freezing in the old part.
-No towels provided in the poolside beach cart (way too late

-The last day of our stay we could not get dinner anymore,
Then look for another restaurant.
When discussing the many inconveniences, the owners mainly came to the two
Daughters quite arrogant about it.
Apparently the hotel is not suitable for Belgians.

Fabulous place for family. My family stayed at this hotel for 5 days with the half-board and ski package. The staffs spoke English, and are warm, friendly, and accommodating. We knew them by first names and at end of the holiday we were sad to leave them.
Facilities wise they have a nice infinity like swimming pool looking out into the mountains and various saunas. Rooms were clean, warm, and spacious, even though it took a bit getting used to the door-less bathroom. Building has a nice decor.
Since we stayed with the half-board package the food choices weren't extensive but all the options are very well prepared and enough to satisfied our fussy eaters, kids.
The hotel is next to a ski rental shop, skiing lesson school office, and a lift up to the slopes. Very convenient.
Overall, we had an enjoyable time here and looking forward in coming back next year.

The best location, beautifully designed, extremely friendly !!! Apart from the location right next to the Dorfbahn you realize that it is a hotel that is family run. Every detail is well thought out and you just feel good. The spa area with indoor pool, 2 saunas and steam room leaves nothing to be desired!
