In my opinion a well-deserved 5 star review. I was a bit surprised by some of the hater comments here on Google and would like to counter argue. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in a superior double room.
First of all, the hotel area is very spacious. Its architecture fits very well into the desert and is absolutely authentic. The room was very pretty, clean, spacious and everything worked perfectly.
The only thing I would critisize is that there is no Wifi in the room. For us it was not really a problem though since we spent most of the days out in the desert anyway (we didn t book activities with the hotel).
The staff is so caring, very friendly, talking to the guests, making extra efforts (e.g. opening the mini-gym 2hrs earlier than regular) and seem in general to really enjoy their job.
The breakfast is probably the thing I enjoyed most.
Lavish options. Fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, sandwiches, muesli, pastries, etc.
We always had dinner in town (drove there with our rental car which you can park close to the main street) so I cannot comment on the restaurant.
The hotel is of course more expensive because it is an upper-class hotel. However, compared to other such hotels, the price is absolutely justifiable.
