Lovely room with private veranda and both indoor and outdoor shower. WiFi only in common areas. Restaurant not great but plenty of places to eat in town. Regular complementary shuttle bus into town.

We didn t stay there for a night but we stop for a relaxing time at the spa!!! And was GREAT!!!! The staff is great and the place so relaxing !! For us was a break in our visits exactly what we were looking for!!! Well equipped you can enjoy 3 pool and 2 jacuzzi sauna and hammam there is a bar and a gym!! The transat and long chairs are really confortable they provided towel and soap bring your slippers !!! The price per person for the oasis of relaxation was 24000 pesos!!! Expensive i think but we should not forget that is a SPA in the middle a desert!!! I still recommend it a lot !!!

Chile's hottest time of day is 4-5pm so if you want to swim, go to the pool around this time otherwise you can freeze your butts off. This hotel is one of the nicer resorts in the area. Shuttle buses to town is available BUT you MUST book ( to and from town) otherwise they will no show. Make sure you get their phone number and call at least 10 mins prior to the pick up time. Free nuts/raisins and fruit/ice teas by the reception!

In my opinion a well-deserved 5 star review. I was a bit surprised by some of the hater comments here on Google and would like to counter argue. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights in a superior double room.

First of all, the hotel area is very spacious. Its architecture fits very well into the desert and is absolutely authentic. The room was very pretty, clean, spacious and everything worked perfectly.

The only thing I would critisize is that there is no Wifi in the room. For us it was not really a problem though since we spent most of the days out in the desert anyway (we didn t book activities with the hotel).

The staff is so caring, very friendly, talking to the guests, making extra efforts (e.g. opening the mini-gym 2hrs earlier than regular) and seem in general to really enjoy their job.

The breakfast is probably the thing I enjoyed most.
Lavish options. Fresh fruit, vegetables, bread, sandwiches, muesli, pastries, etc.

We always had dinner in town (drove there with our rental car which you can park close to the main street) so I cannot comment on the restaurant.

The hotel is of course more expensive because it is an upper-class hotel. However, compared to other such hotels, the price is absolutely justifiable.

My first time at Atacama, I spent 4 days at Cumbres. The hotel location is ok, about 15 walk downtown but regular shuttles are available every 30 .
Rooms are spacious and comfortable and overall hotel infrastructure - restaurant, pool, bar - is ok, not great (gym very limited)
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, I had dinner the hotel 3 nights and the food was very good.
The only reason I m giving a 3 star rating (and not a 4 star) was truly bad experience with the hotel tour service.
